Can't anyone help Cardinal Burke and Atty. David Lujan see each other's side and help them come to a workable compromise -- for the sake of truth and justice?
To compromise, Cardinal Burke should have asked Apuron's cannon Lawyer to step outside & asked Roland to come inside for questioning. Why should Apuron's cannon lawyer be able to attend and not the victim's lawyer??? Couldn't Cardinal Burke also meet with Roland and his attorney on neutral ground and ask Roland questions right on the spot.
It looks to me like Roland's attorney is totally incompetent and he or she had no idea what was going on during the Burke team's visit to Guam. Rome still has the upper hand.
Bear in mind that no bishop was ever defrocked for pedophilia. Monstrous Archbishop Wesolowski's laicization was obviously reversed because he was buried from a chapel behind St. Peter's Basilica with full episcopal honors last year. The Mass celebrant was the Pope's own archbishop-Almoner.
A predatory homosexual pedophile like Apuron, Wesolowski was subsequently interred with episcopal honors in Poland, also at the Faithful's expense. He was younger than Apuron.
Most importantly, remember that Wesolowski died mysteriously from "natural causes" just hours before his civil trial for child molestation was scheduled to begin in Vatican City. Bottom line: What happened in Vegas stayed in Vegas.
David Lujan is perhaps Guam's most feared lawyer, probably because he is the most competent. David took the cases on contingency. A canon lawyer costs money. Roland doesn't have the money. However, it appears that a canon lawyer would not have done us any good. Apparently in a canonical trial, the plaintiff is represented by the Promoter of Justice, probably the equivalent of an attorney general. This Conn guy was apparently appointed by the Promoter of Justice. So far he has done one piss poor job. The mother of one of the victims received her notice to appear before the Inquisition just one day before the appointment. She had no idea what it was about. And she just happened to check her mail that day. Here in Guam, especially in Agat where she lives, where the post office is only open two hours a day, some of us may get to the post office once a week. I wonder how many other witnesses are only now finding the notices in their mail box several days after the fact.
How much procedural latitude the Burke team actually had is anyone's guess. That's precisely why Roland's civil attorney should have been working with a reputable lay canon lawyer all along. I'm not optimistic about the outcome of this case.
The presence of apuron's canon lawyer seems to be the main objection, while Sondia's lawyer is not allowed, of Atty. David Lujan. Of course, only Atty. Lujan can tell us for sure. But I feel that compromises can be made, without prejudice to either side. Somebody just has to start the dialogue.

Conn is not Apuron's attorney. He is from the office of the Promoter of Justice which represents the plaintiffs. Apuron's attorney's are both neocats, one of whom is named Giovanni Capucci. They stayed at RMS while they were here. I understand the neocats under the direction of Boston archbishop, Cardinal Kiko, er I mean Sean O'Malley, are paying for Apuron's defense.
O'Malley is a joke. He's just a grinning puppet in a benign-looking Franciscan habit who plays whatever evil games his Vatican superiors concoct. All he does is parrot what he's told.
His Boston archdiocese was so ravaged by the abuse scandals that it's literally non-existent. Mass attendance there is less than 12%. Instead of trying to rejuvenate the place, he spends most of his time in Rome pandering to fat cats.
