WHEN APURON RAN TO PAPA

I've been waiting since last May to share this with you. This took place in Rome on May 25, 2016, approximately one week after Roy Quintanilla first came forward. Apuron denied the allegations and then immediately ran to Papa.

PDN: SEX ABUSE CASES UP FOR HEARING UNLESS...

Clergy sex abuse cases up for hearing unless judge recuses himself again

A new round of hearings is scheduled this week for eight of the 15 lawsuits related to alleged sexual abuse by Catholic priests on Guam, unless the judge recuses himself from hearing these cases.

Superior Court of Guam Judge Arthur R. Barcinas is set to hear the eight clergy sex abuse cases Thursday, based on the court’s schedule as of Monday afternoon. CONTINUED

THIS SUNDAY'S PICKET BROUGHT A FEW NEW CONCERNED CATHOLICS TO THE LINE

posted by Jose M.

This is the 4th Sunday in 2017 since we returned to the picket lines after taking a short holiday break.  This was also the 1st Sunday that Abp Byrnes celebrated Mass at the Cathedral since he has returned to Guam.

Today's picket line consisted of some who are retired, many who perspired and many who perhaps were a bit more inspired as there certainly were a few new faces joining with the familiar this morning.

GUAM DAILY POST: ON THE VATICAN'S RADAR

On the Vatican's radar

When six of the more than a dozen sexual abuse cases for former local altar boys were moved to the federal District Court of Guam earlier last week, one reason for the transfer of jurisdiction was the lack of local judges who didn’t have a conflict or potential conflict.

But there’s another major significance to the transfer of the six cases to the federal court.

The federal court must take jurisdiction, says David Lujan’s law firm, which is representing the accusers, because this isn’t a Guam issue alone. CONTINUED

PDN: JUDGES' RECUSALS

Judges' recusals detailed
Citing conflict of interest or appearance of bias, all eight trial court judges in the Superior Court of Guam have filed 84 notices of disqualification from cases related to alleged sexual abuse by Catholic priests.

Among the judges’ reasons for recusals are their relationships with either the alleged victims of clergy sex abuses or the accused priests, including Archbishop Anthony S. Apuron, as well as other defendants, such as the Archdiocese of Agana.  CONTINUED

Regarding the public hearing on Bill 326-33 on Monday, August 1st, 2016, I have to repeat: this was a very curious legislative act, full of irregularities that Guamanian people had to experience. It was the 3rd day of testimonies in the matter, after 2 days of the same hearing was conducted the week before.

First of all, the Legislature's web-site featured a different bill from what was distributed as a hand-out at the hearing. Let me emphasize, the only available text for Bill 326-33 at the official web-site was Frank Blas Jr.'s original bill. However, the bill had been "amended", actually thrown out and completely rewritten by Bob Klietzkie from the audience during a hearing session the week before. The text of the new bill, "as amended" was not made available, except by an unofficial paper hand-out distributed at the August 1st hearing.

I was greatly surprised when I had to see that the public hearing was not on Frank Blas Jr.'s bill anymore, but on a different "amended" bill written by someone in the audience. It was a barely disguised outsourcing of legislative power by a legislative committee. The legislative power was outsourced to a member of a group of radical bigots who openly admitted they wanted to use the bill for their own purpose.

KUAM: CCOG WANTS ACTION ON RMS

Concerned Catholics want action for seminary issue

http://www.kuam.com/story/34360796/2017/01/27/concerned-catholics-want-action-for-seminary-issue

The Concerned Catholics of Guam are asking the Presbyteral Council to put more pressure on the issues surrounding the formation of priests at the Redemptoris Mater Seminary in Yona. The CCOG sent a letter to the Council on Thursday.

CCOG Vice President Andrew Camacho states a minor seminary would better suit Guam and its needs. "The main objective is to urge the Presbyteral Council to take the issues of the seminary to Archbishop Byrnes, and kind of stress the importance. If Guam must have a seminary, it needs to follow certain criteria," Camacho says. "Does Guam need medical doctors? The answer, of course, is absolutely. Can Guam afford to build and maintain its own medical school? Definitely not, even though we have a lot of local people who are in the medical field."

Archbishop Byrnes returned to Guam earlier this week. The CCOG hopes to meet with him soon to discuss their concerns.

LEGISLATION TO ADDRESS ABORTION IS SIGNED INTO LAW - ZOLTAN TRASHES IT

Posted by Tim

Because of other news, I had to put off posting about the passage of Bill 168-33 which was signed into law last month as Public Law 33-218. The bill was introduced by Senator Frank Aguon, Jr., who has been making good on his pro-life commitment, not just in his personal life, but in his public life as well.

The new law strengthens the abortion reporting law with refined procedures and realistic penalties for non-compliance. Since the founding of The Esperansa Project in 2008, non-compliance in abortion reporting has been one of our major targets. While everyone can bemoan the tragedy of abortion and recommend a variety of ways to address it, the beginning point is accurate data and accurate data we did not have.

WHERE IS DAVID?

Posted by Tim

"Where is David?" has been a fairly persistent question in the comments on this blog every since The Slick Sick slipped underground soon after Hon's arrival.

And as if Facebook heard your pleas, yesterday, someone's post from two years ago popped up as "Facebook Memory." The title: THE REAL VILLAIN.

Given Archbishop Byrne's HUGE mistake (assuming it was a mistake) in falling for The Adrian's crocodile tears - without knowing the crook behind them (I still have him and The Waldo on my list of people I am prepared to sue), we may well do the well-meaning (but Filoni-controlled) Byrne's a favor by referring to that post from two years ago.

Msgr. David C. Quitugua

Of course, The Villain's villainous ways continued, ultimately resorting to trafficking in bogus government documents in order to cover his rear end: publishing a false certificate of title for the Yona property - with the help of The Trained Lawyer - in the Umatuna. (Something we have NOT forgotten.)

FROM LFM

Buenas yan hafa adai,  friends,

I hope the news on PDN and PNC, the last few days,  regarding law suits against former Guam priest and the Vatican fired you up to come out and continue to picket Sunday, the 29th of January 2017 at 9 a.m. In front of Cathedral Basilica.

Now that Archbishop Byrnes is back,  we need to show him that we are persistent in our demand to remove  apuron. Charge On!

THE REAL FRUIT OF THE NEOCATECHUMENAL WAY

Dear Archbishop Byrnes,

Witness the real fruit of the Neocatechumenal Way. This is what you are sustaining and in allegiance with. This is what the Neocatechumenal Way produces:

http://www.guampdn.com/story/news/2017/01/26/group-catholics-urges-yona-seminarys-closure/97074498/

Clap, clap, clap! Haidee Eugenio is clapping her hand to her own doing. He-he... She says a "group of Catholics..." well, a rather minuscula group of mostly manamko retirees who got bored of playing cards and made for themselves just another hobby club, the CCoG! It is Ms. Eugenio and the PDN who is creating a virtual reality out of a few people, as if CCoG would truly exist beyond the pages of their newspaper.

Without you, dear Haidee, CCoG would not be anything more than cheap pastime for a bunch or bored elderly. But there is, in fact, a great material interest in creating an impression
of a bigger than real CCoG! It pays off big bucks. As faithful lieutenant, Haidee delivers a false impression with Trump-like fake news, pushing forward day by day, but she somehow always misses to report from the other side. Easy ride, right, Haidee? Lol! The name of Eugenio became synonymous to a new low in "pseudo-objective" journalism. On sale on Guam only and nowhere else on the wide earth!

LAPAZ: "I DO NOT WANT EVEN MY WORST ENEMY SUFFERING AS I DID IN THE NCW!"

Posted by Tim

There was a lot of news this morning, and Lapaz' latest installment on the Hennigan memos was quickly pushed down the list. Don't want you to miss it. Read it here. By the way, I see a new opportunity for some ambitious lawyers. It appears Dave Lujan has the corner on the sex abuse cases, but psychological abuse within the NCW, as detailed by Lapaz and now others, is a wide open field. In today's news, it was announced that Attorney Lujan is going after the Vatican itself. With Cardinal Filoni's documented involvement with protecting the NCW and RMS on Guam, there may be an easy path to sue Filoni and the Vatican for the damage done to so many souls at the hands of a Vatican-certified organization. More on this to come.

PNC: BYRNES TAKES RMS TO COURT

Archbishop Byrnes takes RMS to court over Yona property
http://www.pacificnewscenter.com/local/12436

NOTE: This case was filed on November 18, 2016 and we reported on it then. It appears that it is just now making its way to court. It puts Byrnes in an awkward position. He took action on this prior to his arrival on Guam and at the behest of Archbishop Hon who had finally (after months of effort) been presented with the irrefutable facts.

However, after Byrnes arrival, as we now know and as reported in the Jan-Feb issue of The Guamanian (magazine), Byrnes apparently now wants to save the seminary. Of course the property and the seminary are two different entities. The seminary exists by decree independent of its legal articles of incorporation. But the suit, as filed, lays out the treachery and subterfuge that is at the root of the problem with the Neocatechumenal Way in general and RMS specifically.

How anything with such a foundation can produce "good fruit" as Byrnes reportedly now sees it, is evidence that someone is putting words into Byrnes mouth. We shall see what sort of action he now takes. Is he back yet?

COMPILATION OF COMMENTS BY THOMAS J. HENNIGAN ON THE NEOCATECHUMENAL WAY, PART TWO.

Posted by LaPaz, Jungle Watch Correspondant from Spain.

It's time to continue with Fr. Thomas J. Hennigan's comments on the Neocatechumenal Way. If you liked part one, I am sure you will enjoy this new post yet more. As with the wedding fest at Cana, the best wine has been saved for the end: in our case, those comments related with the Neo Second Scrutiny, the hard core of the neocatechumenal itinerary.

WHY WE PICKET? --- TO DRAIN THE SWAMP.

Posted by Webster.

The swamp on San Ramon hill has been polluted and contaminated by Apuron and his Cronies (certain clergy, religious, and laity)) for over 30 years. The swamp was used by Apuron and his cronies for their personal gain and pleasure, a private playground to play out their perverted sexual fantasies and debauchery. The swamp has become toxic, putrid, and infested with foul matter.

The swamp has permeated all aspects of the Catholic Church in Guam, particularly the leadership and certain members of the clergy and religious. The swamp has stifled and battered the rest of the clergy and religious, at least those who had and still have integrity and a desire to maintain holiness in themselves. For many others, they were swept into the swamp of passiveness or denial. Finally, the swamp has mistreated and neglected the laity, who sacrificed and gave generously to build and feed the swamp.

The swamp has become a cesspool of filth.

NO MORE.

The laity (LFM, CCOG, Silent No More) rose in indignation, fighting for Justice and the Truth. They want, no Demand, and Rightfully so, that the swamp be drained and refilled with holy water. Only then will the Church in Guam be able to regain its credibility and rightful position as the moral compass for its faithful Catholics. Anything less is a white-wash, much of the same thing as in the past, where injustices are ignored, swept under the rug, and the perpetrators simply reassigned, expecting the laity to accept without question.

NO MORE.

This is why we picket, and shall do so until the swamp has been drained of all its filth, and the fragrance of decency, cleanliness, and holiness swamps our senses again.

PICKET, WE SHALL!

From The Guardian, January 16, 2017:

The last time Italian journalist Emiliano Fittipaldi wrote an exposé about corruption at the heart of the Roman Catholic Church, it landed him in a Vatican court facing a possible jail sentence on charges that he had illegally obtained confidential church papers in the course of his reporting.  Now, six months after the 42-year-old reporter was cleared of all charges, Fittipaldi is taking on the church again. This time in a new book that accuses Pope Francis of doing “close to nothing” to stop clerical sexual abuse in Italy and around the world, despite the Argentinean pope’s frequent assertions that he has zero tolerance for the abuse of children or those who protect abusers.  Continued.

COMPILATION OF COMMENTS BY THOMAS J. HENNIGAN ON THE NEOCATECHUMENAL WAY, PART ONE.

Posted by LaPaz, Jungle Watch Correspondant from Spain.

Some time ago, I was impressed by a comment in a post about the neocatechumenal Second Scrutinies, due to the high authority on the matter showed by his author. He was a priest, called Fr. Thomas J. Hennigan. The comment, in perfect Spanish, was so brilliant I felt the need of looking for more about Fr. Hennigan in internet.

He is the author of Solo Dios basta (Only God is sufficient), where he introduces his blog both in Spanish and English. About himself, he gives just a brief information, he was born in Ireland and ordained in Rome. By the date, he serves in Andalucia, Spain. He is a former member of Legion of Christ and expert in Canon Law, so he knows perfectly what a cult or sect within the Catholic Church means.

In other words...

CCOG are the new Bishop of Guam.
Accept it, this is the new protestant Catholic Church of Guam.

CCOG despises the Catholic Church; They only obey to their thinking; they stir dissent; they accuse based on 'allegations'; they want everyone to agree with them; they are the Despot's in Command of the Catholic church or else they let their smear-dog (Tim Rohr) lose who with his JungleTrash sewer-machine smear and throw mud at anyone who opposes their hateful rhetoric.

Sadly, and because the real Christians are the silent majority, they have become the face of the Catholic Church in the public-sewer sphere.

My condolences to the Guam faithful.

Well since the bishops are either busy grabbing pre-pubescent genitalia or ramming the rectums of 12 years olds, and guys like Byrnes and Cristobal are more interested in covering for their brothers arses, well, yah, then we'll do this ourselves. LOL

LOL - I'LL HAVE FUN WITH THIS LATER. BUSY RIGHT NOW :)

  1. The day of the Big Shame is approaching to CCOG, Sablan, Rohr and the other war mongers. They pushed themselves into a corner from where there is no escape. This corner is the manner NCW is serving the Eucharist. This is their stumbling stone. They cannot get around this stumbling stone anymore because they pushed the issue of distributing the Eucharist too far.

First of all they have to confront Archbishop Byrnes as soon as he is back on island on their 2 questions:

Is it against against the regulation of the Catholic Church that at NCW Eucharist celebrations
    1. the body of Christ is consumed while the faithful is sitting?
    2. no distribution on-the-tongue is available?

These two questions were raised at JW and very are specific attack lines against the NCW. Only on Guam! Why? Because nowhere else on this wide earth is NCW attacked under the same charges. It was a novelty of Rohr to push for these things. You don't hear the same charges not even from his international comrades anywhere else. Why? They know that these 2 questions are simply invalid and will be laughed off. These questions don't deserve the time and effort they invest into it.

Of course, Archbishop Byrnes will have to tell them. He will tell them to back off because the answer for both of these 2 questions is NO! No, the practices of the NCW do not violate any regulation.

    1. There is nothing wrong with sitting down before you consume the Eucharist.
    2. Eucharist on-the-tongue is available at other masses where you are free to go.

When these people will hear the answers from Archbishop Byrnes, this will be the day of Big Shame for them, because of their stubbornness and unreasonable plots against their sisters and brothers. CCOG, JW. LFM and other church misfits of Guam, be ready for the day of your Big Shame. Then repent and ask forgiveness from your brethren in the communities for all the untrue accusations! We are here to show you a true way toward Jesus that is worth of waking on.

LOL

This is one of the lowest accusations against the Catholic Church on Guam that we have to read and endure from a newspaper that is supposed to give a balanced reporting on all issues of public interest. PDN is directly tied to the extreme liberal worldview of its mother mainland organization, the USA Today. Accordingly, it has a vile agenda of destruction of religious belief.

David Sablan's CCoG is one of the most despicable organization on island with a vested interest of causing extreme monetary damages to the Catholic Church. David Sablan is acting on this monetary interest, promulgated by the so-called Jungle hate group, to drag the church to court on both valid and invalid charges.

We still have to learn about the validity of any accusation against Father Adrian who was sent to pursue canon law studies by Archbishop Byrnes. PDN is not doing well to promote a witch hunt mentality serving a handful of extreme liberal church radicals whose aim is to take over church governance from the rightfully appointed authorities of the Catholic Church.

Cristobal made it easy. He documented for himself his own lies in the media. We only had to compile them. LOL

WITH THE PERMISSION OF THE BISHOP?

Posted by LaPaz, Jungle Watch Correspondant from Spain.

By the time, I am increasingly convinced that it is impossible for Rome to stop Kiko's feet.
We should be more realistic and assume once and for all the lesson from Tim Rohr:

Do not look at Rome. Do not turn to Rome.

Maybe it is time to look at every diocese's responsible: the bishop.
Then, why do not ask the bishop about every breach trust committed by neocatechumenals in his diocese every time it occurs?
Ask your bishop every time in black and white.

A REMINDER - from a REAL BISHOP

With the disappointing words and actions of Archbishop Byrnes thus far, we are immediately reminded of our duty as outlined by Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen in an address to the Knights of Columbus in 1972:
"Who is going to save our Church? Not our bishops, not our priests and religious. It is up to you, the people. You have the minds, the eyes, the ears to save the Church. Your mission is to see that your priests act like priests, your bishops, like bishops, and your religious act like religious."
This quote will be posted permanently in the right side bar in the hopes that we will no more hear pleas to Rome for help. It NEVER was Rome's job in the first place. It was OURS. All of this hell and filth was brought upon ourselves by...OURSELVES. We chose not to confront, to look the other way. We have no one to blame but ourselves. And no one can fix this - as Sheen reminds us - but OURSELVES.

RIGHT ON TIME. LOL!

Protesters resume weekly pickets calling for removal of Archbishop Apuron
Guam - After a two week hiatus from their weekly protests, members of the Laity Forward Movement and the Concerned Catholics of Guam were back at it, picketing this past Sunday in front of the Dulce Nombre de Maria Cathedral Basilica in Hagatna.
Although the crowd continues at the steady dozens, the number of demands is gradually decreasing.
It started with several messages on signs calling for the reinstatement of a few beloved priests who were ousted by Archbishop Anthony Apuron; the return of the Yona seminary to archdiocese control; and the removal and defrocking of Apuron stemming from allegations of sexual abuse.
With the reappointments of Father Paul Gofigan and Msgr. James Benavente into senior positions within the church and the reversal of a controversial deed restriction on the Redemptoris Mater Seminary property, the remaining message at Sunday's protest is for Apuron to be defrocked.
This latest protest is the first this year but organizers say they will continue with their weekly pickets until Apuron is removed and defrocked.

The Sunday pickets return. After taking a brief break for the holidays, dozens of members of the Concerned Catholics of Guam and the Laity Forward Movement resumed their Sunday morning protests on the steps of the Cathedral-Basilica.

Although most of their concerns have been addressed, they continue to demand that Archbishop Anthony Apuron be defrocked and removed of his title. Apuron faces a canonical trial in Rome as well as lawsuits here at home for alleged child molestation, which he has vehemently denied.

GUAM DAILY POST: PROTESTS CONTINUE STRONG

WEEKLY PICKET: After going on break for a couple weeks in observance of the holiday season, protests continue in light of a message released by the Vatican concerning efforts to stamp out child sexual abuse. Lou Klitzkie, spokeswoman of the group composed of members of the lay organizations Laity Forward Movement and Concerned Catholics of Guam, said their mission remained the same: to keep protesting until Archbishop Anthony Apuron is both removed from his post as Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Agana and defrocked of the vestments of the clergy. - Archbishop Michael Byrnes, THE GUAMANIAN, January-February, 2017

Those who are members of the Neocatechumenal Way who have not consciously embraced teachings contrary to Catholicism can still be considered Catholics. However, in offering the above quote, Archbishop Byrnes essentially makes the same mistake other bishops have made in thinking that because the NCW has an approved statute, that what actually is taught inside the NCW is "Catholic."

Consider this. In a November 1, 2016 interview given to KUAM, Byrnes admitted to not knowing much about the Neocatechumenal Way and only having "some familiarity, not close." In fact, he even referred to it at one point as a "movement," a "mistake" for which he was immediately chastised by The Diana. Yet Archbishop Byrnes apparently knows enough about the NCW to proclaim it (albeit by extension) "Catholic."

HOLY INDIFFERENCE? NOT!

Posted by Tim

In the January-February 2017 issue of THE GUAMANIAN MAGAZINE, the feature article is entitled “Can He Heal the Church? - Archbishop Michael Byrnes chosen to lead Guam’s divided Catholics.”

One of the tactics of the Apuronites has been to make all of this appear to simply be about "divided Catholics." It makes for an easy story for the press and unfortunately some on our side have aided that story by small-mindedly demanding "we want our church back"  (which really means their positions of importance.)

And further, it appears Archbishop Byrnes has bought into the same story hook, line, and sinker. In THE GUAMANIAN story, Byrnes says: "I really try not to take sides, I just really think that’s important.” He then goes on to compare this "who am I to judge" approach to his administrative duties to St. Ignatius' spiritual principle of "Holy Indifference."

KIKO’S CURIOUS CRIPTA DI SANT’ILARIO

Posted by Chuck White

Perhaps you've heard of Kiko Argüello's “New Aesthetic”, which is his attempt to impose his music, art, and architecture upon the Church. I’d like to take you on a short tour of a chapel in Rome, the Cripta di Sant’Ilario di Poitier (Crypt of Saint Hilary of Poitiers), which belongs to the Neocatechumenal parish of St. Hilary of Poitiers there. This chapel not only epitomizes Kiko’s “New Aesthetic”, but also includes one very curious feature...Read more.

A CHILD ABUSE SCANDAL IS COMING FOR POPE FRANCIS

Posted by Chuck White

The Week, January 3, 2017
by Michael Brendan Dougherty

The Catholic Church has long been plagued by sickening scandals involving priests abusing children. And there is reportedly another scandal coming — this one of the pope's own making.

Two people with direct ties to the Vatican tell me that Pope Francis, following the advice of his clubby group of allies in the curia, is pressing to undo the reforms that were instituted by his predecessors John Paul II and Benedict XVI in handling the cases of abuser priests. Francis is pushing ahead with this plan even though the curial officials and cardinals who favor it have already brought more scandal to his papacy by urging him toward lenient treatment of abusers.  Continue

APURON ON THE BRAIN

It seems to me that Pope Francis had "Apuron on the brain" in his message to the world's bishops on the Feast of the Holy Innocents:
We hear these children and their cries of pain; we also hear the cry of the Church our Mother, who weeps not only for the pain caused to her youngest sons and daughters, but also because she recognizes the sins of some of her members: the sufferings, the experiences and the pain of minors who were abused sexually by priests. It is a sin that shames us. Persons responsible for the protection of those children destroyed their dignity. We regret this deeply and we beg forgiveness. We join in the pain of the victims and weep for this sin. The sin of what happened, the sin of failing to help, the sin of covering up and denial, the sin of the abuse of power. The Church also weeps bitterly over this sin of her sons and she asks forgiveness. Today, as we commemorate the feast of the Holy Innocents, I would like us to renew our complete commitment to ensuring that these atrocities will no longer take place in our midst. Let us find the courage needed to take all necessary measures and to protect in every way the lives of our children, so that such crimes may never be repeated. In this area, let us adhere, clearly and faithfully, to “zero tolerance”.

INT’L MARIAN COMMISSION TO POPE: PLEASE DECLARE MARY CO-REDEMPTRIX

Posted by Bruce Williams

An international Marian organization, along with more than 100 bishops, priests, religious and theologians from over 20 countries, are asking Pope Francis to publicly acknowledge Mary as co-redemptrix with Our Lord.

The 33-member commission offered a summary of the major points of its document:

  • Our Lady's free decision to be Mother of Our Lord was the beginning of Her participation in Our Lord's mission of salvation of the human race;
  • Our Lady's special participation in Our Lord's work of redemption is only possible through His infinite merits, and does not detract from Christ's redemptive work;
  • Mention of  the "woman" in Genesis 3:15 and Her "seed" is a foreshadowing of Our Lady's victory over Satan and sin. The Immaculate Conception is preparation for Her to be perfect human partner with Our Lord;
  • The Presentation reveals Our Lady's continued mission of co-redeemer with Christ, culminating at Golgotha, where She interiorly unites Herself with Our Lord's sufferings on the Cross;
  • The Early Church concept of the "New Eve" is the first sign of the teaching of Our Lady as co-redeemer; Her title as "Redemptrix" to point to her suffering with Our Lord at Calvary (10th century); acknowledgment of Her being "co-crucified" with Our Lord (12th century); the "Co-Redemptrix" title (15th century); the "golden age" of Co-Redemptrix (17th century); the title of "Co-Redemptrix" applied by Pope Pius XI and Pope St. John Paul II (19th and 20th centuries);
  • The prefix "co-" denotes "with" and not "equal." No one can be placed on the level of the Divine, as such would be blasphemy;
  • 2017 is the centenary of Our Lady's apparitions at Fatima, "which in itself constitutes a powerful manifestation of Our Lady's co-redemption in action."

THE CRISTOBAL FILE: PART 1

In preparing the extensive dossier against Adrian Cristobal I came across this statement of his from his press release against Fr. Paul, July 22, 2013. This was nearly 3 years before Apuron's victims started talking.
"...in light of the painful lessons the Church and all of society have had to endure in recent years – and still endures – we must abide by standards that will safeguard all children in our care. As Jesus teaches us, the youngest are among the must vulnerable among us and great care must be given to safeguard them."
Yep, this is the guy we are sending off to get his canon law degree. SMH! Can't wait for his deposition.

THIS IS "YOURS!"

Even though the letter from Antonio Palacios about Alberto and the Neo's taking over the Santa Ana chapel was posted on 12/30/16, it received the second highest number of pageviews for the month of December.

MARY, THE NEW ARK OF THE COVENANT

Posted by Chuck White

We celebrate the Solemnity of Mary the Mother of God throughout the Latin rite today. In honor of Mary, the Θεοτόκος, the “theotokos” or “God bearer”, I’d like to present a short audio clip of Catholic evangelist Steve Ray discussing the idea of Mary as the “new Ark of the Covenant”.

In this clip, Steve provides several astounding parallels between 2 Samuel 6:2-11 and Luke 1:39-44, and shows that the inspired writer of that gospel considered the Ark of the Covenant of the Old Testament to be a “type” or prefiguring of our Blessed Mother.  Read more.

NEW YEAR'S MESSAGE

Posted by Tim

2017 marks the beginning of JungleWatch's 4th year in this amazingly ugly and deceptive battle. This morning I began watching a documentary on the corruption in the Vatican that drove Pope Benedict XVI from office. I had watched it before and I turned it off at about the same place I turned it off last time. Unfortunately, I know most of that "Hideousness" first hand and I don't need to watch it to be reminded.

The events of the Archdiocese of Agana over the last going-on four years defy description. The Evil is omnipresent. "They" never tire of lies and manipulation. Complicating the battle is the seduction of some on "our side" to "let Rome handle it," or, (as Bob called out) "give the benefit of the doubt." Complicating it even more is the incessant call for wanting "our church back," when it was what the church had already become (as evidenced by the now revealed decades of abuse) that paved the way for Kiko's Trojan Horse.

Those who know me know that there is NOTHING in this for me. Despite all the accusations from the Kikos that this is "all about money," there is no money in this for me and even if there was there wouldn't be enough to buy back four years of my life. I don't have a motivation. My response to injustice is reflexive. That's why I never hid behind a pseudonym.

The battle for truth will go on. Thank you to all who support this battle in one way or another.

Sincerely,
Tim

NUMBER ONE STORY OF 2016

No. 1: Fall of Archbishop Anthony Apuron

Guam’s Catholic community was rocked by a series of sex abuse allegations, questions about control of the Yona seminary and public protests against church leadership during 2016. While discontent in the church had been brewing for several years, Archbishop Anthony Apuron remained in control of the archdiocese until former altar boys stepped forward and publicly accused him of sexual abuse.
