Even if this is the case, our Church, our Faith, is secured. It is not the action of our Church but the action(s) or in-actions of individuals in our Church that has caused us great disparity.

I don't think that the absence of Mr. Sondia's deposition gives absence to his credibility in the claim of Apuron's sadistic ways. Mr. Lujan is not stupid. The Catholic Church, the Vatican, is NOT ABOVE THE LAW and NOT ABOVE OUR JUDICIAL CONSTITUTION to face our accusers.

Nothing wrong with our Catholic Faith, our Church, it's just the people that run it.

Thank you Deacon Steve Martinez!...I am sure you've enlightened our Vatican guests in how our Diocese of Agana has handled, fumbled, and grossly erred in dealing with Ordained ministry and those who were victimized...Sad! Apuron needs to keep on running. I don't believe he has any other place to be here in Guam except PRISON!...Too bad the Statue of Limitations has run out.
JCnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5652940417109665141.post-75802521976443424762017-02-20T07:19:05.911+10:002017-02-20T07:19:05.911+10:00What can they be bled for? Knowing the financial risks they face, any assets of signigicant value have undoubtedly been well hidden.

The Vatican can be held liable only if it can be proved that they intentionally ordained known dysfunctional bishops.

Since the perverse behavior of these freaks is usually obvious at seminary level, the local bishop is initially to blame. He has to approve all seminary admissions and Ordinations. Therefore, the diocese should take the first hit where pedophile priests are concerned.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5652940417109665141.post-1508232535839050142017-02-19T18:08:52.561+10:002017-02-19T18:08:52.561+10:00perhaps the damages award in the civil actions sho...perhaps the damages award in the civil actions should be paid for by the Vatican..after all the buck stops there doesn't it?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5652940417109665141.post-34194842881360375012017-02-19T15:20:01.999+10:002017-02-19T15:20:01.999+10:00There is a conspiracy involved, but it was not to ...There is a conspiracy involved, but it was not to reveal the truth.

The conspiracy comes from Apurun and Quitugua to hide the truth and keep it hidden forever. Documents have been destroyed, witnesses have been harassed and silenced, and others have been shipped elsewhere.

That is conspiracy in its darkest form.

But thanks to the braved four who first came forward, not only has the truth been revealed, but they have given courage to scores of others who are victims to come forward.

Sad part is, if Apuron had admitted his evil acts and stepped down there would have been no law waiving the statute of limitations and there would have been no lawsuits.

People forget those four brace souls came forward not for money but they were motivated by the truth that needed to be told.

Apurun, Fr OJ, Dukun Tenorio, Monsignor David the Tall, and Fr Adrian have caused this case to go in an unintended direction for the victims. The conspiracy of these priests will end up costing our Church many millions of dollars.

I for one hope the courts will hold these rascals liable for their actions. Bleed them dry before going after the Church. That is the only way justice can be served. Plus defrock all those involved in abuse and the conspiracy to cover up the abuse. The church would be more in line with Christ's teaching to handle its matters in the open with truth as its primary criteria.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5652940417109665141.post-62832236654258458172017-02-18T13:21:44.256+10:002017-02-18T13:21:44.256+10:00With the international coverage and sentiment that...With the international coverage and sentiment that the Guam case is getting, it would be impossible to simply dismiss the momentum and certainly cannot be used as a deterrent for other survivors to give voice to their abuse. Remember that the Vatican hangs on a teetering vote of confidence in an age of transparency. The Vatican cannot afford to live within its gilded cage and think that sensible people will "ooh and aah" at the drop of a miter. Their procedures are like a medieval suit of armor that has outlived its relevance.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5652940417109665141.post-64387034541629985732017-02-18T11:25:13.943+10:002017-02-18T11:25:13.943+10:00We have every reason to be worried. Contrary to what some may believe, there is nothing that ties these middle-aged men except for the assault Apuron inflicted on them physically and robbing them of innocence and trust. These men found their voice and searched their hearts to rid themselves of the pain and guilt that resulted due to the lust and damaged brain of a man who dared accept the role of Archbishop though he knew of his iniquities. There is no conspiracy theory here, just a firm conclusion that Apuron has to face justice and hopefully do what is right - for once. Acquitted or sentenced, he has lost forever his mandate to rule.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5652940417109665141.post-59556763587004614552017-02-17T17:56:43.876+10:002017-02-17T17:56:43.876+10:00So what now?
