On August 30, 2025, at Immaculate Heart of Mary parish in Toto, Fr. Krzysztof Szafarski, the current Parochial Administrator, tells us that his going to study in Rome is a "gift," and infers that if you don't like it then...
Fr. Cody Merfalen, recently ordained and incardinated in Rome, is the celebrant. Here is his homily.
The full video of the Mass was posted on Facebook here. No further comment at this time.
Obviously neither of them is a good homilist. This is not surprising in the NCW environment, since they are not expected to comment on the scriptures as exposed in our post of June 8th 2025 : Deja vu, all over again.
ReplyDeleteTrue! Rather than focusing on the readings, he spoke about himself. Ai adai he needs to study homiletics
DeleteWhile we don't where Fr. Kryzysztof Szafarski might be heading, we do know that he has said that he'll be studying "Neocatechumenal Liturgy". No program with that name exists, of course, except perhaps inside of an Redemptoris Mater Seminary. But Fr. Neil X. O'Donoghue, a Neo priest who once served here, oversees an academic program in "Pastoral Liturgy" at St. Patrick's Pontifical University in Maynooth, Ireland. O'Donague, like Kryzysztof, is one of Giuseppe Gennarini's boys.
