Apparently the memorandum issued by the late Archbishop Byrnes placing a "pause" on the formation of new Neocatechumenal communities in this archdiocese has been rescinded - or maybe just erased, since there was no official announcement.
In any event you won't be able to find it on the archdiocesan website. Instead you will get:
Here. Try it yourself: https://archagana.org/standing-directive-related-to-the-neocatechumenal-way
Meanwhile, Google AI still knows about it:
And the link is still on the archdiocesan website:
But it only goes to "404."
A technical glitch? Maybe. However, as we all know, these sorts of things - when it comes to the neocat power people - are constant: sneak, disregard, deflect, deny, hide, erase...
Meanwhile, it's good that JungleWatch saves everything. Links to the original memorandum and all the documents which came after it can be found in this post.
Note to Archbishop Jimenez. If you've rescinded the moratorium, say so. If not, then fix the link.

The Neocatechumenal Way is still listed on Archdiocesan website under "Ministries". Go to https://archagana.org/ministryfinder, then click on "Groups, Ecclesial Realities". BTW, the NCW prefers to call itself an "eccesial reality" rather than a "movement".
ReplyDelete@Anonymous- Rather than a legitimate theological category, 'the term Ecclesial Reality' serves as a strategic shield, allowing Kiko to bypass canonical authority and operate in a vacuum of transparency."
ReplyDeleteBy rebranding his movement an 'Ecclesial Reality,' Kiko has created a loophole to dodge hierarchical scrutiny and deceive the faithful."
Well said. And shame on our church authorities who let them get away with this. Their subterfuge is systemic.
DeleteThis is a very interesting post since a new community was just very recently formed, initiated and presented with their bibles. I do not know if this initiation ceremony was done in a Church or their "Club House" in Asan.
ReplyDeleteOf course they are. And with the blessing of Jimenez - who appears to prefer doing whatever he wants - just like his neocats. Maybe it's time to once again STOP THE MONEY.
DeleteI was invited to come to their catechesis last March, so they're forming at least one new community per year. And the catechesis was held at their center in Asan.
DeleteAnd silence from Jimenez. Where have we seen this before? SMH
DeleteWho is "ministering" to all these new NCW communities since our number of NCW "presbyters" is declining?
DeleteRegistered parishioners of the Hagatna Cathedral - Basilica have yet to receive their envelopes for tithing. Lots of cash being collected with little or no accountability.
ReplyDeleteImagine the "accounting" for the trash bag collections!
DeleteTim, please explain about the envelopes. We at the cathedral have been requested to use the blank envelopes provided. Wouldn't the cathedral's finances collapse if the money was given to the NCW? Even with the tithing envelopes, the cathedral approached bankruptcy when Msgr was ousted years ago. How does having numbered envelopes protect the cathedral from the NCW?
