A local pastor is walking dozens of miles to raise funds for the poor and hungry, many of whom have been created by the government’s COVID-19 economic lockdown. That’s a nice thing to do. But his own church in the Washington, D.C. area remains essentially closed, except for “private” displays of Christianity. CORONA VIRUS THUGGERY VS REDEMPTIONIS SACRAMENTUM

Amidst the discussion of permitting Mass again, some bishops are prohibiting the reception of the Sacred Host on the tongue. Catholics need to know their rights as Catholics in order not to be bullied out of those rights by their pastors in the same way Catholics were bullied out of their rights by the secular caesars. 

"I am a parish priest in a Midwestern diocese. Our bishop is allowing us to celebrate the Mass publicly again soon. One of the stipulations is that communion can only be given in the hand. Do you have any words of comfort or wisdom for members of my congregation who only receive on the tongue?"

Since I have not seen the wording, the text, of what the bishop sent out, I can’t say much.  Past experience suggests that these documents really express the preference of the bishop (or rather the one who wrote it for the bishop) but expressed in such a highfalutin way that people who read it thing that it is a legitimate law, even when it contradicts the Church’s universal laws. PERHAPS AN EXORCISM FIRST?

On Saturday, May 2, our archbishop will reconsecrate our island to Our Blessed Mother. The reconsecration will coincide with the U.S. Bishops doing the same on May 1. 

It's good timing. For Catholics, May is traditionally the Month of Mary "and it is the occasion for a "moving tribute of faith and love which Catholics in every part of the world [pay] to the Queen of Heaven."

And while the reconsecration of our nation and our island to the Blessed Mother is a right and good thing, Fr. John Zuhlsdorf is imploring bishops "to pronounce the exorcism in Title XI Chapter 3 of the Roman Ritual over their dioceses" before the consecration:

"Before the consecration of these USA to the Blessed Mother, I call on all bishops to pronounce the exorcism in Title XI Chapter 3 of the Roman Ritual over their dioceses."

Because:

In the history of salvation, there have always been spiritual purifications before blessings and consecrations. 

• In the traditional rite of baptism there are exorcisms.
• In the traditional rite of consecration of a church there are exorcisms.
• In the traditional rite of the blessing of Holy Water there are exorcisms.
• Before Isaiah was given the office of prophet by God, the holy angel purified his lips with a burning coal.  Only then was he made God’s prophet.
• In the traditional rite of Holy Mass, before the reading of the Gospel the image of the angel with the coal is invoked before God’s blessing is begged.

An exorcism first - or at least the public rejection of Satan - also follows the pattern of the annual renewal of our baptismal vows, which, had we been permitted to attend Mass on Easter, we would have done:

V. Do you reject Satan?

R. I do.

V. And all his works?

R. I do.

V. And all his empty promises?

R. I do.

V. Do you believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth?

R. I do.

V. Do you believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was born of the Virgin Mary was crucified, died, and was buried, rose from the dead, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father?

R. I do.

V. Do you believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting?

R. I do.

V. God, the all-powerful Father of our Lord Jesus Christ has given us a new birth by water and the Holy Spirit, and forgiven all our sins. May he also keep us faithful to our Lord Jesus Christ for ever and ever.

R. Amen.

Before reconsecrating ourselves to the Blessed Trinity we are asked to reject Satan, all his works, and all his empty promises. Of course, rejecting Satan before participating in anything holy follows the same pattern as to why we go to confession (or used to) before we receive communion. 

Given the absolute decades of "filth in the Church" which have been uncovered in the last few years (the real plague by the way), not to mention our electing as governor the first president of People for Choice*, Guam's first pro-abortion activist organization, which, beginning in 1990, paved the way for thousands of murdered infants, mostly Chamorro (the following chart only shows 2008-2017)...

Reopen churches to in-person services or face legal action, AG says

FRANKFORT, Ky. (KT) - Attorney General Daniel Cameron is calling upon Gov. Andy Beshear to reopen churches to in-person services or face legal action.

During a Tuesday press conference outside the Capitol, Cameron said, “The Governor should allow churches to resume in-person services, consistent with the (U.S.) Constitution and CDC guidelines.  And if he doesn’t, we will be forced to file a lawsuit and allow a judge to determine whether his order, as it pertains to religious groups, is constitutional.” (CONTINUED)

WE NEED A HERO

After Fr. Paul Gofigan, representing the Archdiocese of Agana, nicely asked Governor LLG for permission for Catholics to once again attend Mass, baptize babies, and anoint the sick - amongst other sacramental acts, Governor LLG, via her Director of Public Health, Mrs. Linda Unpingco DeNorcey, basically said HELL NO:

"DPHSS neither supports, nor approves any sacramental services..."

What an awesome opportunity we have here! 

Let's face it. In the wake of Apuron's atrocities and now the world's largest clergy sex abuse scandal (per capita), it is understandable that certain Catholic Church leaders might be shy about standing up to Caesar LLG. But this is exactly what "they" need to do. 

And I say "they" because, unlike the Apuron scandal wherein it was the laity who led the way, the laity cannot do a thing to restore the sacraments only priests can provide. 

It's actually too bad the legislature didn't pass the bill which would have given Caesar LLG the power she wanted to arrest violators of her edicts. Just imagine the powerful regenerative power for our Church if Caesar LLG arrested Archbishop Byrnes - or any priest for that matter - for celebrating Mass! 

Faith in our Church would be restored JUST LIKE THAT!

But even without getting arrested, our ordained Church leaders can accomplish the same thing by simply doing exactly what they nicely asked Caesar LLG for permission to do. 

There is not a thing Caesar LLG can do to stop them. Only "they" can stop them.

Oh, and P.S. It's time for you to move all of your accounts out of the Bank of Guam.

MAYBE THIS PLAGUE IS GOD'S JUDGMENT AFTER ALL

Let "the Church" (or even anybody who goes to church) speak publicly against such things as abortion and same-sex marriage, and he/she/they can expect to be immediately crucified on the cross of "separation of church and state." But let "the State" bully the Church - as it now is - and there doesn't seem to be a peep of protest.

It just seems odd that if we can go to the grocery store, the post office, the hardware store, the gas station, and even an auto repair shop - so long as we social-distance, why can't we go to church? The same precautions used in these places of business - such as tape on the floor, requiring masks, and greeters who spray disinfectant on your hands - could be applied at churches - at least for Sunday Mass.

We could even receive Holy Communion. We would line up 6 feet apart. Tape could be put in the aisle to insure this. The priest could wear a mask and even gloves -which he would put on just to distribute communion so that the gloves only touch the hosts. The host, even if it was contaminated, would not pose a health threat because once it is ingested, the stomach acids would kill the virus. (The virus has to get into your lungs to cause a problem.)

What is particularly disconcerting is the seeming embrace of so many Catholics of what is essentially Protestant worship. Protestant worship consists mostly of listening to a sermon and praising and praying, all of which can be done alone or remotely. Catholic worship is something different altogether. In fact, the first few verses of this past Sunday's first reading describes it exactly:

ACTS 2
They devoted themselves
to the teaching of the apostles and to the communal life,
to the breaking of bread and to the prayers.

We don't go to Mass to hear a sermon, though we may. We don't go to Mass to sing and praise or even pray, though we may. We can do those things by watching Mass on television or on our phones. We go to Mass for the "communal life" and "the breaking of the bread."

That's not something we can do at home.

And then there's the cute stuff floating about social media posted by well-meaning people about how the church isn't a building, and "we are the church," etc. That is true to a point, but it stops at the Mass which (barring an indult) cannot be celebrated outside a consecrated space on a consecrated altar. But once again, that's why Catholicism is different. 

On another, but related note, it is also a curious thing that the same governor who has issued the edict to close our churches is the same governor whose main concern only a few months ago was to recruit an abortionist. Of course, nary a peep was made about that either. 

Maybe this plague is God's judgment after all. It wouldn't be the first time. Or maybe just a warning?

PELL TO BE FREED

Soon after Apuron was accused by a lone accuser in 2016 - which caused "TONY" to "run to Rome," Cardinal Pell, who was in Rome at the very same time, was similarly accused. 

But unlike Apuron who went into hiding, Pell immediately boarded a plane to Australia to face his accusers. And now this...which should tell you all you need to know.

There is a civil trial coming up in Federal Court. And he is still maintaining his innocence. His defense is that he was a victim of a real estate conspiracy LED BY "Tim Rohr."

CORONA VIRUS - APURON - AND "ONLY GOD REMAINS"

March 17 (Guam Time, St. Patrick's Day - Patron of the Yona RMS), was the second anniversary of the Vatican announcement finding Anthony S. Apuron "guilty." 

While the Vatican's announcement was skillfully worded to protect Apuron (probably the work of Filoni, et. al), Apuron's appeal, later denied by Pope Francis himself, left no doubt as to what Apuron had been found guilty of. 

Apuron's war is not over. He still faces civil litigation in both local and federal courts. And do not doubt that "his people" have given up on "him." 

I refer to "his people" and "him" in quotes because Apuron himself is not capable of carrying on this war. In fact, he was always their stooge -  from the outset. A rubber stamp. And expendable at that. 

As we have noted for years now, most of the drama to exonerate Apuron has nothing to do with exonerating Apuron, and everything to do with saving the multi-billion dollar, international underground, clergy-trafficking syndicate that masquerades as an "itinerary" of faith formation and has wormed its heretical "Way" deep into the heart of our Church more deeply and deadly than the corona virus. 

Apuron - because he was a bishop - and more importantly, because he was a bishop who would do their bidding - was key to their plans. And so was Cristobal, who basically sold Apuron to the Neocat hierarchy for less than 30 pieces of silver in exchange for a guarantee of Apuron's mitre.

But then there was JungleWatch...and YOU. And so JungleWatch shall remain. And shall remain vigilant. But while we work quietly for now, we will use this forum for matters we deem relevant - if not appropriate - in the service of our ultimate cause: truth.

NOTE: Actually the real reason pending proof of his abuse, is more likely gross disobedience. Cristobal has refused to return to the Archdiocese of Agana as ordered by Archbishop Byrnes. In his "heyday," Cristobal was front and center in trying to stop us from uncovering what is now, per capita, the largest clergy sex abuse crisis in the world. Specifically, Cristobal tried to stop Tim Rohr and Associates: "Tim Rohr and his associates launched a vicious and calumnious attack on the Archbishop and the Church." Cristobal is still trying to stop "Tim Rohr and Associates."

APURON OUT - PART 1

The following is an excerpt from an article entitled "Put Vigano on trial?" which can be read here. 

The most egregious recent example of justice not being seen to be done is, arguably, the case of Archbishop Anthony Apuron, the disgraced former leader of the Church in the U.S. territory of Guam. In 2017, after years of complaints, a Vatican judicial commission investigated him and tried him. The tribunal, led by Cardinal Raymond Burke, found Apuron guilty of two counts out of the six with which he had been charged. 

We know that Apuron’s nephew claims he suffered sexual abuse at the hands of his uncle. That would have been either in 1989 or 1990, at a family gathering. Apuron was also allegedly involved in several other scandals: real estate deals done in the shade; influence peddling; abuse of office; financial mismanagement and underhandedness – all against a backdrop of “family tensions” on an island where everyone is somehow related to pretty much everyone else. 

Most of the rest is guesswork, though, since the Vatican never published the list of charges, and waited more than a year to announce the verdict. He was acquitted of some charges, found guilty of others. Then, not two months after the announcement of the split verdict, Apuron was on a stage with Pope Francis for a major international gathering at Rome’s Tor Vergata park.

There are a couple things to note:

"after years of complaints" - From what we know, the first public complaint against Apuron involving sex abuse of minors was made by Roy Quintanilla in May 2016. So really only one year of complaints. However, the author may know about other complaints against Apuron that were not public. Indeed, we heard whispers for years and it is quite likely that many of those whispers made their way to the Vatican. Even Walter Denton's graphic complaint to the Vatican about what Apuron did to him when he was a 12 year-old altar boy was initially sent back to him without any action by the Vatican due to a lack of corroboration. In hindsight we can see that the Vatican (specifically the then-nuncio, Archbishop Krebs), did not send Denton's complaint back to Denton because Krebs was trying to dismiss or hide it, but because Krebs knew it to be true and that Krebs knew that the only possibility of helping Denton was for Denton to first help himself by getting someone to corroborate his story. And, as we now know, Denton did. 

"the Vatican never published the list of charges, and waited more than a year to announce the verdict" - Those of us close to this case knew that Apuron had been found guilty long before the verdict was announced (it's called a "sentence" in Vatican-speak). And we also knew that the long delay was due to Apuron's protectors doing everything possible to first keep Apuron from being found guilty, and then to keep the sentence under wraps once he was. The problem for Apuron's protectors was that the Catholic faithful in Guam would not put their signs down, continuing a weekly picket in front of Apuron's cathedral for 54 weeks straight, and even for a time, also protesting the Vatican administrator (Archbishop Hon) who appeared to be part of the conspiracy to cover for Apuron. Eventually the Vatican decided to throw Apuron partially under the bus, announcing Apuron's sentence in an extremely weakened way that appeared to let Apuron off the hook for the most egregious accusations.
