ENJOY THE SHOW!

Archbishop Apuron is doing a Q&A at 4pm, this evening at Ordot Church.

Huh?

An attempt by the bishop to actually act like one? An effort to be open? transparent?

April fools.

The questions have been presubmitted and screened. Apparently more rabid efforts to prop this man up.

After 30 years of absenteeism? Do they really think this is going to work?

LOL.

After reading this in the Jungle you can be sure they'll have extra body guards including Deacon For Sure For Sure.

Enjoy the show.

And don't let him tell you that he can't restore Fr. Paul and Msgr. James to their positions because "it is in Rome's hands". That's an outright LIE.

  1. I hope the St Thomas kids and parents go and ask about the closure and why weren't they given a chance to save it. I'm sure some of the alumni (no matter how small and young) are college grads and successful PLUS their parents are pretty well off and something could have been done. Peter tells Paul " we are poor". Peter then declares a "new parish" and then flys of to the ends of the world. Catholic education should be a priority. The parishes pews aren't even full so why open another? I will be there Apuron! What an odd ball time? He is hiding and praying everyone will be at work and only the techas and altar severs will be there.

  2. I wonder what AAA plans to do with the building? Perhaps a new study hall and NCW center and mill for heretics and lies.

Dear Anon 7:57am. Haven't you read the Umatuna? A really big shoe planned in Ordot.
The building WILL be used for the seminary to teach heretics and homiletics for the so called Neo Cate-comical Way.

It will be used on weekends for stand up comedy routines by Fr Alberto and Fr OJ Egivaldo. Dance class taught every Sat evening at 7:30 by Brother Tony-Two Left Feet.

Summer session to be used for special massage therapy course by a splinter grope called the Neo Anatomical Way, to be taught by visiting professor, Fr Luis Camacho. Kiko promises the utmost discretion in all your massage needs, unlike beach gatherings where the police can be so darn nosey!

    2. Before all sorts of conjectures on the St. Thomas Campus and Building. It belongs to the San Juan Bautista Parish. Anything done to that parish property has to go through Msgr David IA Quitugua, pastor, and the Parish Council.

    3. Actually all diocesan property belongs to the incumbent archbishop, not the parish.

  4. Since we are already praying on our own can we add fasting? Maybe every Wednesday since we can be reminded when Jesus was betrayed. Dinner will probably be the best meal since Jesus was betrayed in the evening. Si yuos maase!

  6. The move by the Archbishop to provide a forum to discuss issue facing our Church is admirable. However this venue should be publicized, and have the Archbishop have this forum at all the Parishes so that All will have an opportunity to participate. He should not however, Pre screen the questions and allow for an honest and open dialogue with the people. I fear that if these meetings are going to be staged and selective in the ones who would provide the questions that this attempt at reconciliation will turn ugly. I strongly urge the Archbishop to allow ALL the opportunity to be heard.

Cynicism required at this point. What can they expect after all the lame lies they have foisted upon the people of Guam and to Rome itself!

  7. Is this part of the pastoral visit? Some of us haven't been graced with his presence in our parish! I suppose he won't be able to handle the parishioners and just wants to dodge us. What are you afraid off AAA?

  8. Sorry, I forgot one more thing and that is to have these meetings published in advance and to hold the session after 5:00pm to allow working people to participate.

  9. Will Msgr. David Quitugua (the "elder statesman", not the liar) be there? Will he tell Apuron again
that "he (Apuron) is the problem!"?

  10. I know what AA will do with the building. He will convert it to a Neo-Center as at is being done in other countries. All icons, liturgical stuff will be sold from that site. It may be in the guise of something diocesan in nature but it will be NCW at the core. Just watch.

  14. Tim, WAS it photoshopped in anyway? I think we should know. And Anon 10:17, I do hope that Diana is there and reveals her (I mean, his) identity. That would be fun!

    1. If it was photoshopped, it wasn't photoshopped by me and someone would have had to photoshop a whole album. Besides someone who was with the group on the trip has vouched for them. I have more.

We attended Mass at San Juan Bautista on Saturday evening and noticed that the Pastoral visit by the Archbishop is scheduled for today (Wednesday, May 27th) in the Parish Announcements (bulletin). There is no mention made of the 4 PM Q&A session in the bulletin nor was it announced to the congregation.

Of course the questions had to be presubmitted AND screened so that someone could be designated to write in advance the responses for AAA to read at the Q&A session!

Isn't it interesting that, on the Wednesday After Pentecost, AAA doesn't trust the Holy Spirit to guide him to speak with Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel (NKA Right Judgment), Fortitude (NKA Courage), Knowledge, Piety (NKA Reverence) and/or Fear of the Lord (NKA Wonder and Awe)?

    1. Presubmitted Q&A, not for me. I like impromptu Q&A! This presubmitted Q&A is probably answered by Dakon Deacon Claros or Crystal No Balls. Sorry Triple A, this just doesn't cut it. Maybe Triple A e-mails the Qs to PIUS and Pius gives the Answers. Maybe yet, Di sees the questions and answers for him. She's good at this.

Update 1pm, Wed, May 27. Got to call up San Juan Bautista Church at Ordot, and received confirmation that the occasion IS one of the Archbishop's pastoral visit. The lady I spoke with (I believe the name was Priscilla), while confirming that it is a parochial function, she guesses that it is a public event, so anyone should be welcomed to attend.
While respecting the preference of the Ordot parishioners to ask questions during the Q&A session (4-5:45pm), I guess it's OK to listen in and see what AAA has to say, and if opened to the general public perhaps we could throw in some pointed questions. Let's keep it civil, polite and reverent though: it will be in church. - jrsa.

  21. I was at the visit last night at San Juan Bautista. And although question were submitted in advance, the people in attendance were given the chance to write a question and submit it while the Q&A was taking place.

For Ms. Pereda, I am a member of the congregation and this visit was mentioned at several masses that I attended. Its unfortunate that the Saturday evening mass you attended didn't mention it.

Anonymous (May 28, 2015 at 6:54 AM), actually the concern I mentioned in my comment was not about the Pastoral Visit itself, but the Q&A session. I had written "There is no mention made of the 4 PM Q&A session in the bulletin nor was it announced to the congregation."

Had the time of the Q&A session been announced to the congregation at the other Masses last weekend? In my opinion, the time allotted — 4:00-5:45PM — announced via this blog really did not give people enough time to arrange their (work) schedules to be able to attend.

Thank you for sharing the information that those in attendance were able to submit questions yesterday. I must admit that I'm curious as to whether any of the "impromptu" — albeit written — questions were answered. I hope, but seriously doubt, that AAA addressed any "pointed questions" as mentioned by Joe R. San Agustin (May 27, 2015 at 1:11 PM).

  23. I heard from a source who was present in the Ordot parish visit that AAA was apologetic to Msgr. David (the elder) Quitugua, for not informing him about his (AAA) intention to close STA. Stating that the school would not be able to and probably won't ever, payoff the $2.7M loan. How the heck would AAA know that? The parents and community would've gotten together to ensure payment. Little or should I say....no faith in us. So, what happens to the building there that was STA? Is AAA going to revamp it into a NEO structure? If so, who is going to pay for the loan????? The rest of the Catholic of Guam???? SMH.

    1. That was long range plan to close STA. AAA couldn't stand it. Don't let him fool you that it just became necessary. Suppose that 2.7 mil is Monsignor James. Problem, too. Why not?
