POWER THROUGH RELIGION, OR POWER THROUGH POLITICS?

From their humble beginnings in the Madrid slums of the early 60s, Carmen and Francisco, have always pushed the same message: "Bringing back to the fold, the Catholics who had strayed away from the Church" and in doing so, protecting the family and continuing the tradition.

  Carmen, the rebellious daughter of a powerful family who backed Franco, knew well how to give all the right signals to potential powerful Catholic patrons.

Francisco, the wannabe successful artist, and fake leftist petit bourgeois, was the perfect public image for Carmen to advance her agenda.So they went on their merry way, using the powerful patronage of important prelates, first to move to Rome, then inside the Vatican walls, then close to the ears of John Paul II, capitalizing at every step, just as many flatterers and courtisans have done over the centuries in Europe.

Fast forward a few decades, and we find the amazing duo, leading the Italian movement "Family day" through their surrogate, the famous neurosurgeon, NCW member and advocate: Dr Massimo Gandolfini. At the same time Mario Pezzi the third corner of the NCW triangle, was publishing a long reflection on the family and children in the context of the Synods on the Family, where they had not been invited.

From these positions, one might infer that the NCW is another "reactionary" movement for the defense of the traditional family. Specially after the much decried ranting of Kiko at his June 20 2015  Family Day in San Giorgio  The reality is a lot more complex than this.

Carmen Hernández, co-founder of the Neocatechumenal Way, died on July 19, 2016, and the 2008 Statute of the Neocatechumenal Way states how the vacant position on the International Responsible Team of the Way will be filled.

Yes, it was. Now I can understand why Kiko and Carmen were so determined to defend the little one in front of the massive. This is the only thing they prefer "in a few". 

These pictures are from Seminary Redemptoris Mater of Brasilia website and show the pure super holy way to celebrate the New Year's coming in any particular living room.

First dinner with loved ones (supposedly they were at upper neocat catechist's home in that country) and after that, a little neocatechumenal Eucharist at home.

It took a few months to build the special chapel, but the sect finally buried St. Carmen just the other day (September 2nd) on the grounds of the Redemptoris Mater Seminary in Madrid.  Kiko reserved a spot for himself next to her.  Just thought you might want to know.

WAS CARMEN HERNANDEZ IN HER RIGHT MIND IN 2010?

This is the speech given by Carmen to neocatechumenals during a meeting in Fatima, Portugal, in 2010. Really it is a transcription of her words. Wait, really it is a transcription of the sounds she made, beause it is full of incomprehensible things. She seemed to be drunken...or maybe she was not in her right mind. Her words showed she had a problem.

Why did Kiko say she "was not medically diagnosed" when he wrote his strange note about her death? It was not necessary to say she was "unlabeled", why did he say that?

Why Kiko tried to hide something was wrong with her since some years ago? Which kind of reason he had for it? Maybe was it related with the approval of the Way? 

Carmen showed symptoms of maybe/perhaps....a supposed mental or neurological (or both) disorder at 2010.

We last saw that Carmen had succeeded to get the Okay from Cardinal Angello Dell'Acqua to start a new community in the Borghetto Latino, the destitute Roman neighborhood, similar to what they claimed to have achieved in Madrid, under the hospices of Archbishop Morcillo.

This was in 1967, and our intrepid companions were moving most of their operation to Rome in 1968.

The idea that sold Archbishop Casimiro Morcillo to contact his good friend and vicar general of Rome Archbishop Angelo Dell'Acqua (the representative of the Pope as Archbishop of Rome) under Pope Paul VI, was that Carmen and Kiko could work the "miracle" they had achieved in Madrid.

In 1963/1964 the Catholic Church was going through radical changes, unseen in centuries.

What is now known as Vatican II, had been a long, drawn out fight between the different currents of philosophy of the Church. In Spain, like in most of the Spanish speaking world, the leaders of the Church were for the most part against reforms, seeing it as an unholy intrusion of Masonic and Jewish moles in the Vatican. (this whole section would merit a whole book). They had supported Franco in the civil war and its aftermath, because he was opposing such intrusions.
