SOUND OF FREEDOM VS "HOME SWEET HOME"

Currently, there is much being said about the movie SOUND OF FREEDOM starring Jim Caviezel.  

And that's a good thing. 

The movie draws much needed attention to the horror of child sex-trafficking, for which the United States is the world's largest customer. (See the above link.)

So how appropriate that the movie opened on the Fourth of July!

America, the land of the free and home of the brave, which is not only the world's largest consumer of child sex, but has as its president the world's most ardent chief executive calling for the killing of children in the womb. And a Catholic at that. 

Yah. Happy Fourth of July. 

But I digress. 

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I've read enough to know what it's about. And it's about the kidnapping, trafficking, and sexual exploitation of underage children. 

That's horrible, and kudos to the real life heroes who have been risking their lives and families to fight this satanic war. (I know a bit about risking life and family to fight satanic wars.)

Meanwhile, and not to take away from the atrocity of truly sex-trafficked victims, the large majority of abducted children - who then become part of the "at risk" population for sexual exploitation - are victims of their own parents, or at least one of them.

Do we need to read that again? VICTIMS OF THEIR OWN PARENTS.

So while SOUND OF FREEDOM credibly sounds the alarm on "stranger-abducted children," 99% of THE REAL CROOKS are those children's own parents (SOURCE):

• In the US, 2300 children are reported missing per day 
• Strangers abduct less than 1% of missing children
• Parents are accountable for over 90% of abductions

In case you have trouble with these facts and the source, here is reference to a controlling court case which makes reference to similar facts as far back as 1989:

Between 100,000 and 750,000 children are stolen from one parent by the other parent each year. L. Karp C. Karp, Domestic Torts: Family Violence, Conflicts Sexual Abuse, § 5.01 (1989). Often the parent who abducts the child is aided by friends and family. Id. Seventy percent of these children are never returned to their custodial parent. Note, Tortious Interference With Custody: An Action to Supplement Iowa Statutory Deterrents to Child Snatching, 68 Iowa L.Rev. 495, 495 (1983).

As much as we want to join the outrage in what is presented to us in SOUND OF FREEDOM, the real outrage needs to be directed at our own U.S. Courts and the legal system which functionally and immediately criminalizes THE ABANDONED spouse and forces him (it is usually him) to fund (via child support) the real crook, i.e. the parent who makes off with the children, not because she wants them or loves them, but because she can and will use them to hurt the spouse she left or use the children as ransom in exchange for the marital property. 

And this is why we read (almost daily in Guam) about children being abused, molested, and/or raped by "the mother's boyfriend." 

So while child sex-trafficking in Honduras and Columbia makes for a good movie, the real movie is happening right here in Dededo, Agat, Yona, Tamuning, and "home sweet home."

Despite the automatic rallying cry every election season of “Our children are our future!” Guam’s lack of concern for its children continues to worsen.

In 2012, a local news story labeled child abuse on Guam an “epidemic.” Ten years later, and judging by the almost daily news, it does not appear this atrocity has improved.

In the 36th Guam Legislature, two bills were introduced to address Guan’s shameful child abuse problem, Bill 299-36 and Bill 312-36). However - at least according to the published history of both bills - neither bill even made it to a public hearing. Maybe our children are not “our future” after all… at least not until the next election.

Substance abuse usually gets the blame for our battered kids. However, family fragmentation, a significant reality in Guam as well as the rest of the nation, is the more likely culprit. Following are some statistics published by Marripedia:

We have not seen little Ricky, AKA  Dr. Ricardo Eusebio MD, AKA lying Dick; since his fierce denying press conferences, about the Yona property and the RMS

Yet despite the fact that Dr Atienza, PhD is officialy the itinerant and head Catechist for the Neos on Guam, little Ricky has replaced Pius the putrid as their hatchet man,  the new destroyer for the Marianas.

The former Catechist of our dear Mae, AKA the Diana, is according to her, more feared that he is liked. That should not be surprising in any way, shape or form. The man has made his career inside the NCW, by threatening to destroy people's families. (Not very Christian, but by the same token, since I've always considered them, as a Judeo-Masonic Sect, not surprising)

What is going on with our infamous crying priest? One can ask that question when facing the litany of poor decisions, poor recommendations to Archbishop Byrnes, and arrogant and moronic steps.
What is happening to Father Jeff? Is the sin of pride blinding him? Or is there more to the story?

ACCORDING TO THE LOCAL AND ARIZONA PRESS, ADRIAN HAS BEEN SUMMONED BACK TO THE CHANCERY ON GUAM TO GIVE HIS SIDE OF THE STORY ABOUT THE  ACCUSATIONS MADE AGAINST HIM, BY NOW TWO VICTIMS.


So far, it appears that Adrian has more pressing business.

The rumor in Barrigada is that he visited some of his former community members, before heading to Rome with the usual delegation of Kiko's local cult followers for the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the creation of their movement.

As far as anyone knows at this time, he did not grace the Chancery by his presence during his short stay, just as he did not notify anyone except for the reps of the cult, during the latest convevience (knowing full well the Archbishop and the delegate to the clergy were absent during his visit).

We know Adrian is personally wealthy, thanks to the apparent fleecing of some of his relatives in an opaque and sinister plot a few years back, which allowed him to fatten his personal assets quite nicely. (Apparently he could settle with his victim without putting too much of a hit on his assets, unlike the archdiocese)

A prominent survivor of clerical sex abuse has resigned from a special Vatican commission that was created by Pope Francis to tackle the problem, saying the church’s most senior clerics continue to put “other concerns” before the safety of children and vulnerable adults.

Collins said one of the reasons she decided to resign was the Vatican’s failure to establish a tribunal recommended by the commission to hold negligent bishops to account when they ignored reports of abuse.

BIRDS OF A FEATHER FLOCK TOGETHER.

Two days ago I watched "Spotlight" movie. Very sad. 

A lot of pain, unnecessary pain and of course unwanted by God. 

Humans do sin. Humans are not perfect. Humans are limited. Humans are able to do the worst.

But humans have natural law inscribed in their deepest heart and there are some red lines all humans are able to know at least by intuition. 

There are some things every human person resists because such instinct says. If it does not work it is because that natural instict is damaged. If a mother kills her baby it means she has her natural instinct damaged. Her natural instinct is to protect her baby even against her own life.

Can it get any worse . . . 

Outraged yet?  Had enough?  Do you agree that a 10 year old sexual abuse victim is a willing participant?

Ultimately those questions are directed to those few good people remaining in the NCW on Guam.

IT TAKES A VILLAGE

Peter Onedera's column today was cleverly titled: "Ginen i sengsong na ma abusu i patgon" ("It takes a village to abuse a child") I don't know if he titled it himself or the PDN editors did (which is usually the case) but missing (unless it's in the Chamorro version) from the otherwise excellent piece was any mention of "the village." 

A few weeks ago, a woman shared with me an account of when she was a girl and the parish priest wouldn't let go of her hand while he tickled her palm with his middle finger and looked at her with a strange smile. Too young to understand what this meant but old enough to know something was wrong, the girl told her grandmother who then scolded her so severely she did not want to repeat what her grandmother said even though this happened 40 years ago. 

Another woman told me of a friend of hers who was raped by her pastor when she was a teen and when the girl ran home crying to her mother, her mother yelled at her saying "I told you never to go to the rectory alone," an indication that the mother knew what happens to young girls who go to the rectory alone. 

There is another account of a man who committed suicide after finding that his wife was having an affair with the parish priest, with some accounts even including that she bore his child. The priest is still in active ministry and even appears in public with the woman. One person who knows the intimate details of the relationship has related that the affair is well known, but the priest is popular and the scandal is even clandestinely celebrated amongst the other women in the priest's very visible entourage.

The account reminds me of the many times I overheard young neocat women in my bookstore a few years ago cooing and fawning over which (RMS) seminarians they thought were the cutest, leaving little doubt that flirtation and who knows what else was quietly permitted within the neocat communities where these seminarians were in close contact with the girls. 

So yes, it takes a village. It takes a village to look the other way, something Archbishop Hon apparently demands that we still do.  MORE LATER.

SO WHO VOTED TO KILL THE BABIES?

Bill 195-32, signed into law as P.L. 32-090, mandates normal medical care for a child who survives a failed abortion. Children who survive failed abortions are drowned, beheaded, have their spines snipped in half, or are left to die in the clinic trash. "Yea" means save the baby. "Nay" means kill the baby. Remember in November.

NOTE: The two marks in the Nay column next to Senator Muna Barnes's name means she passed twice (didn't vote). You can ask her yourself why she did this instead of immediately voting Yea.

A SLEW OF PROBLEMS KEEP GUAM BAD

Jackie Marati has publicly called Gov. Eddie Calvo a coward for letting Bill 19 lapse into law. So by that logic are we then to assume that Marati would have called the governor a hero if he had signed it? Probably not. He'd be called worse things.
