FUNERAL AND CONCLAVE

 posted by Frenchie

Following the death of Pope Francis, who has died on Monday April 21st 2022 at the age of 88 yo. The process leading to the conclave which will see the election of a new Pope is actually a very precise and detailed ceremonial.

On Tuesday the "Novemdiales" (9 days in Latin) . 9 days of prayers and masses at the Vatican  and throughout the Church, for the departed Pontiff. During that mourning period the funeral planning takes place. It is designed to give enough time for the faithful and world leaders to make plans for viewing and/or attendance to the funerals.

The body shall lay in rest at St Peter Basilica until the funeral, after the initial viewing by the Curia inside the Pope's apartment. On November 2024 Francis had reformed and "simplified" the previous protocol. The Viewing by the Curia is now taking place in the private Papal Chapel, rather than in his own Chambers. The body must then be placed in a simple coffin with a zinc inside lining. The coffin has to be closed the day prior to the funeral. The coffin is then to be brought to St Peter Basilica without going through the Apostolic Palace.

The third step, at the burial site, has also been changed. Instead of the traditional triple casket of Cypress, Lead, and Oak is no longer followed. The new protocol has now established a set of new rules in case there is a burial outside of the Vatican Basilica. This should apply to Francis who had made it known that he wished to be buried at the St Mary Major Basilica in Rome.

On the second day after the death, the "General Congregations" under the responsibility of the Elder of the Sacred College, will meet the various Cardinals as they arrived at the Vatican, until  the beginning of the Conclave which leads to the election of the Pope's  successor. The whole affair usually takes place between 15 and 18 days after the Pope's passing.

The General Congregations attendances are limited to the 200 Cardinals, as they are meant to make a State of the Church Analysis. Each of the Cardinals is supposed to make a presentation at least once. These meetings are very important, since many Cardinals barely know each other, often due to their remote locations. This is their last occasion to exchange their positions and analysis before the Conclave. In fact it was during these meetings that then Cardinal Bergoglio convinced his brothers that he would make a potential Pope.

Once the doors of the Conclave are shut, and the Cardinals are in isolation, they are kept into silence and prayers in between the rounds of voting. Usually only 4 or 5 names are circulating, the selection having been done during these famous general Congregations. One could say that the game is almost fixed.

The key person of the transition is the Elder of the Sacred College. In this function he is de facto presiding the College of Cardinals, as well as  the General Congregations.

Informal meetings by linguistic groups or by group of interests are also taking place in the end of  each afternoons, in and around the Roman Capital. These informal meetings are very influential, and at times  decisive, because this is where alliances are formed to back up such or such Cardinal.

Before discussions on strategy, the first General Congregations meeting need to fulfill the necessary technical needs, all taken by votes.  The day and the details of the Pope's funeral, the date for the beginning of the Conclave, the technical details for the welcoming of the Cardinals, and the preparations for the Conclave. Daily expenses during the transition , and the destruction of the famous ring of the fisher of man and the lead seal used for the apostolic letters.

Parallel to the General Congregations, Particular Congregations also will take place in smaller settings. These are geared towards the management of the "current affairs" of the Holy Sea, under the leadership of the Carmerlengo of the Sacred College (Chamberlain) Cardinal Farrell an Irish born, American Bishop. (former Prefect of the dicastery for Laity, Family and Life)  Until the election of the new Pope. This particular responsibility is exercised by a delegation of the College of Cardinals. The Carmerlengo is assisted during his daily meetings by three Cardinals. Said Cardinals are renewed every 3 days by lots taken from the list of Cardinals residing in Rome and its vicinity, or from those already arrived in Rome.

Beside the Carmerlengo, the key actor of the transition is the Elder of the Sacred College. He is the de facto president of the College of Cardinal, and as such leads the General Congregations. He is also the likely celebrant of the Pope's Funeral. One can recall the weight of the Homily of Cardinal Ratzinger during the funerals of Pope John Paul II.

It is the Elder of Sacred College that ultimately receives the acceptance of the newly elected Pope, and ask him about the name the New Pope chooses for his reign.

The current Elder of the Sacred College (Decanus Sacri Collegii) is Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re. Appointed in by Francis in 2019 he is "Primus inter pares" first among them.

A FEW WORDS OF CLARIFICATION REGARDING JUNGLEWATCH AND WHO IS POSTING ON THE BLOG

(Posted by Frenchie)

As most people who have followed this blog since its beginning, the name most often associated with it, is it's initiator and founder Mr Tim Rohr.

After many years of bruising and brutal struggle with forces more evil that any of us could have had imagined, Tim had decided to let go of his involvement with Junglewatch, to dedicate himself to a struggle of a more personal nature, which needs his total dedication.

Having been involved with Junglewatch over the years, first as a reader and occasional participant, then as a guest columnist and an occasional administrator, I was sideline most of last year due to some health issues, which I have for the most part conquered.

When I heard that Tim could no longer continue to manage the site, I volunteered my services again, to keep the good fight going, and give a voice to the countless Catholics who feel ignored or jilted by the caretakers of our Church, here on Guam, but also around the world when the need arises.

It is with great dismay, but again not surprised in the least, that I was contacted by some parents of the Fr Duenas Memorial School who have been faced with an unexpected challenge coming from within the Chancery .

In this way I was pulled back in the fray, at a time when I was just expecting to do some care taking. Soon, I was overwhelmed by countless emails and calls from people wanting to share their stories and/or concerns. At the same time Tim, because of his previous involvement was also contacted by many people.

In order not to disturb Tim, please refrain to send messages to him, or try to contact him by phone, as he is very busy with other ventures, and no longer involved with this blog. Should you wish to comment or get in touch with Junglewatch , please address your mails and inquiries to frenchie by using the comment section on this site. If you do  wish to remain discreet, please notify us in your message, it shall not be published, and your privacy shall be respected.

I always start my articles by mentioning in the top left side of the post: (posted by Frenchie)

I hope this shall clarify who is posting and moderating this blog at this point and time.

I shall try my best to fill the very large shadow cast by Tim Rohr, but Tim at this point and time is not an active participant of this blog. I pray that this is a temporary situation, and that one day, when he has taken care of what he needs to do, he will grace us once more with his great insight and limitless knowledge of the Catholic Church on Guam. Meanwhile please pray for me, and for Tim, that we both may be able to face the challenges given to us.

Yours truly: Frenchie

THE 800 LB GORILLA IN THE ROOM

Posted by Frenchie

This past weekend, a very public "call to Joy" at the Cathedral Basilica has been a very rude awakening for many, to the fact that despite the spiriting away of Apuron and some highly publicized cosmetic changes, which includes the appointment of a Co-Adjutor in the person of Archbishop Byrnes, very little has changed in the day to day reality of our Archdiocese.

This is the 800 Lb Gorilla in the room, that almost everyone has failed to recognize since this past November.

WAITING IMPATIENTLY FOR THE CLOUDS TO CLEAR.

Posted by Frenchie

LIKE MOST PEOPLE ON GUAM, NOVEMBER IS THE TIME WE ARE LOOKING FOR THE SKIES TO START CLEARING UP, AND THE SUN AND THE BLUE SKIES OF THE DRY SEASON TO FINALLY COME BACK.

YESTERDAY THE CHANCERY, MADE A DECLARATION MANY OF US HAD BEEN WAITING FOR, FOR SEVERAL YEARS NOW, REGARDING THE SEMINARIES.

Many of us felt that the Sun and blue skies, were finally coming through these thick dark clouds that had enveloped our Island for so long, specially our beloved Church.

Archbishop Apuron, for the many reasons we have already highlighted before, had allowed people of different backgrounds and walks of life, to corrupt the core of our Church, most gravely he had allowed the Neocatechumenal Way to take root on our shores, and expand its web of lies and deceptions throughout our Church, and basically facilitated an almost perfect takeover of an Archdiocese from the Top Down.

LITTLE EUSEBIO FOLLOWING THE SAME OLD TIRED SCENARIO.

Posted by Frenchie
WITH THE ATTITUDE OF A PEACOCK AND THE BRAIN OF A ZOMBIE, LITTLE EUSEBIO
FOLLOWS HIS MASTERS' VOICE.

After viciously attacking the visiting ad hoc committee, little Eusebio, made the point that the statutes of the Redemptoris Mater seminaries have been approved by the Holy Father, and by more than one hundred Cardinals, Archbishops and Bishops.

Have you ever heard that before? Doesn't it sounds like: "The Pope sent us"? "Who are you to doubt the Pope?"

THE NCW SYNDICATE - A HOME FOR SEXUAL PREDATORS

Frenchie's very important post WHY IS FILONI, PUTTING ON ALL THE STOP AND THROWING APURON UNDER THE BUS? got buried rather quickly with all the news about Msgr. James. If you haven't read it, read it now.

The NCW syndicate is a home and hiding place for sexual predators. And thanks to Chuck White's outing of "Baleful Ballin" and his "I am now his bishop" romance with Lickin' Louie, Rome is now face to face with the Monster Kiko has been hiding on an international scale.

More will come of this.

GUAM RMS VS A REAL SEMINARY (PART III) THE FACULTY, AND ADMINISTRATION. Section A

 Posted by Frenchie.

Part 2 found here

For those of us that were lucky enough to attend well known colleges, one of the characteristic, of such place of learning is the high quality of their teaching and research staff, as well as the atmosphere which is conducive to study, interact and share with your fellow students and with a Faculty that is available, and proactive.

Seminaries are probably even more in need of such environment, for seminarians to develop and grow positively, and prepare themselves to a life of service.

Since RMS Guam opened its doors back in 1999, and started teaching out of a private residence, until now, when RMS is now located in a place of luxury and surrounding beauty, few things have changed regarding the Faculty and Administration of said seminary.

GUAM RMS VS A REAL SEMINARY (PART II) THE ACADEMIC PROGRAMS

Posted by Frenchie

Today, we shall compare the Academic Programs of both the RMS Guam and St Patrick Seminary, where our priests used to be educated, prior to the take over of the vocations by the Neos, under failed Archbishop Apuron, and with the full participation of Pius, Quitagua and Cristobal.

WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO OPEN A SEMINARY (PART II)

Posted by Frenchie

Part 1 found here

HAPPY LIBERATION DAY!

It is kind of a bittersweet anniversary, where we celebrate the end of a brutal occupation by the Japanese Empire.
At the same time we continue to be subjected to a more devious and pernicious occupation of our churches by the Evil Empire of Kiko Arguello Wirtz.

WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO OPEN A SEMINARY.... (PART I)

Posted by Frenchie

You first need the will of an Archbishop to install one for the need of his diocese.

This is exactly what Apuron, told us when he started venturing into establishing a Seminary.
The original idea, as it was sold to the faithful of Guam, was that instead of sending our sons to study all the way to California, we could establish a serious institution on island, that would allow us to react more efficiently to our priestly needs.
The laity was enthusiastic about the project, which was to become the Trojan Horse of the NCW on Guam.
On the eve of the new Millenium,  right after one of the Island most respected Holy day, the Redemptory Mater Seminary was established on December 9, 1999.

This was a turn key operation, led by the NCW leader on the island: Fr Pius Sammut.

GOOD AFTERNOON FATHER JEFF!! OR, WHAT DO WE FIND BEHIND DOOR #1 ?

Posted by Frenchie

Well, here we go folks!  Stepping up to the plate to continue this blog after three years of non stop efforts by Tim.

With all the hoopla of the public revelations about Archbishop Apuron's sexual escapades, and the consequent arrival of the "Do Nothing" Archbishop Hon, we have kind of lost view of the main reason why the Neocatecumenal Way and their henchman on island, the horrid Pius, are really clinging to this rock with all their might:

The property at Yona posing as a Seminary.

Thanks to the complicity of a few bought off clergy, who have been revealed over these past three years, Pius the Putrid was able to pull off one of the biggest snow jobs on Guam in recent history:

The establishment of a factory of presbyters who are not vetted, with no real faculty to teach anything, as a pretend Seminary.

Actually when the whole subterfuge was revealed on this site a couple of years ago, our failed Archbishop Apuron even had the gall to give us two fake seminaries for the price of one.

So now, Archbishop Hon, the pretend Administrator of this Diocese, has created several committees to try to sweep under the Magical Rug some of the issues at hand. Many of us have speculated that Archbishop Hon is most likely trying to divert and distract with these ad hoc committees.

Fr. Jeff was fed to us as the head of the committee in charge of reviewing the seminaries. I guess it is assumed that Fr Jeff having been in charge of the Administration of Fr. Duenas School, is a "specialist" on education.

I would venture, that it is a very far cry between running a high school, albeit a storied one such as Fr. Duenas, and having knowledge (beyond his years of studies) of how to run a seminary.

But for the sake of the argument, and out of Christian charity, lets grant to Fr Jeff these faculties.

The challenge to Fr Jeff then, shall be: WHAT DO YOU FIND BEHIND DOOR # 1??
  • Can we expect a real inquiry?
  • What is the status of the Faculty?
  • How many "students" does the Factory have?
  • Has the Faculty demonstrated due diligence in giving the students all the education necessary?
  • Who has administrated the required exams?
  • Are the results of said exams available?
  • Is the seminary still affiliated with the Lateran University?
  • Who is sitting on the committee for the review of candidates to the Diaconate?
  • What is the process established to accept said candidates?
  • Who decides which priest goes where, how, and for how long?
  • Is there any paper trail of who is incardinated in the Archdiocese of Agana?
  • What is the location of the graduated students at this time?
These are just a few of the many questions the Laity of this Diocese, which has paid a high price for this factory, is expecting to have answered by this committee led by Fr Jeff.

We know that unlike other Redemptoris Mater Seminaries around the world, where candidates must still follow classes at the Diocesan seminary and the local bishop ultimately decides which candidate is ready or not, Guam has no such process.

Actually it appears that Guam has no system in place at all, except for the unilateral decisions of Pius and Genarrini.

If this is the case, it is in grave contravention of all rules and regulations as established by Canon Law, and as highlighted by Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI in his 2012 Motu Proprio regarding seminaries.

SO FATHER JEFF!!! HERE IS YOUR CHANCE TO SHOW US, WHAT IS REALLY BEHIND DOOR #1

FRENCHIE: WHAT IS IT GOING TO BE GUAM?

frenchie has left a new comment on your post "THE STINKING MONK RAMPS IT UP":

One must understand, that Pius and the NCW have had a free and very financially rewarding ride here on Guam.
Thanks to their subterfuges, we have paid for their expansion, we have paid for the education of the presbyters pegged to replace our local priests, we have paid for their traveling to and from all their meetings and reunions, plus for a few years, we have paid for the salaries of the "teachers" at the fake seminaries. The ones which were listed as full time, but who in fact, were like this visiting Cardinal, passing by, spreading their distorted propaganda, and leaving until the following year.

Of course you have to add the families on "Mission" whom we fed and kept here, often finding them cushy jobs in the process. How many millions of dollars have they squeezed off this juicy lemon? We shall probably never know. But Guam certainly has been a productive victim for them.
What better explanation of a parasite? Just living off their host.

They have lived tax free and at the expenses of the parishes for almost 20 years. The Kikos are like the locusts of Bible fame, they have to consume all, before moving on.
This is exactly what the Putrid is attempting to do. He knows his personal days here are counted, so he tries to ensure his cohorts will be able to continue to prosper, after Apuron and himself are long gone.

They continue their lies, their deceptions, their multiple swindles, to hide the full picture of their total take over.
We the true Catholics of this island are the only real obstacle to their dream.

They realized they over reached with the eviction of the beloved priests, but they did not stop, they accelerated, and hoped that we would get tired, that we would forget, as we did in the past.
They hope they can still parlay one of theirs to replace Apuron, and continue their labor of destruction.

It is up to us, to either let them continue this colonization and destruction, or stop them, once and for all, here and now. We have a choice to be more like the Catholics of Japan, who successfully stopped them, even if on a temporary basis. Or be like Malta, where they were allowed to continue their destruction and colonization of that island.
What is it going to be Guam?

WHO IS GIUSEPPI GENNARINI

Frenchie gives us some background on the mastermind who stole our property...and will continue unless we stop him. (But then it doesn't take too much of a mastermind when you have the bishop in your pocket. Heck, Apuron gave him a 40 million dollar property and he didn't even get a cigar.)

While Frenchie's main aim is Zoltan's demonstrable stupidity, Frenchie ends up giving us an insightful and entertaining summation of the "pile of trash" we must "discard" while trumpeting a grand call to arms. Enjoy.

SAVING NOT-SO PRIVATE TONY

I have had several comments sent both anonymously and confidentially that "this will not end well for Tony," and I have been fielding this kind of information for two years.

At first I thought the comments only inferred that his past would be finally exposed and he would be unceremoniously deposed. But two more confidential emails after I posted frenchie's recent comment (copied below) have confirmed that a possible plan to throw Tony "under the bus," may not be a figure of speech.

At the top, the NCW is a syndicate, a money-laundering syndicate and a gang of thugs (just look at who they make their "catechists" on the local level).

KIKO AND CARMEN - THE REAL STORY - 9/15/15

This is the latest installment from Frenchie on "The incredible adventures of Carmen and Kiko." The full version with all the installments can be found here

When we last left Carmen and  Francisco, they had snuck into a very nice parish in Rome: Chiesa de Nostra Signora del Santissimo Sacramento e Santi Martiri Canadesi.
