SO THERE ARE TWO CHOSEN PEOPLES....?

Once again, I confess that I NEVER bother with the DIANA blog. However, from time to time, others do send me links to posts they think are "Jungle-worthy." 

And perhaps, here's one. 

The DIANA, who claims to only speak for herself and not The Neocatechumenal Way (NCW) - which she constantly speaks for - says - within the current context of the Israel v Hamas conflict - that she "stands with Israel."

As an aside, I stand with the innocent on both sides - seeing that the innocent on both sides are victims of what Bob Dylan once labeled "Masters of War" half a century ago. 

But beyond the current and terrible atrocities committed by both sides, there remains the issue that is at the root of this ongoing agony. 

Contrary to much modern thinking that the current atrocities are simply the latest manifestations of an ancient, ongoing war that we can do nothing about...well, this is not true.

If the reader will permit me to reference the recent scholarly post by Frenchie, the current atrocities are a direct result of the Heresy of Christian Zionism, which not only dates back to the 1800's as some hold, but back to the 1500's and the Protestant Reformation. 

In his post, Frenchie lays out the whole Zionist HERESY. However, for a short course, and if you prefer to just chill and listen, there are these two scholarly podcasts during which you'll get the gist of all this.

But back to The Diana. 

The Diana claims:

"Both the Jews and the Christians are His chosen people. The Jews are known as Old Israel, and Christians are the New Israel."

Diana, at the outset of her post, claims to be speaking only for herself and not "the brothers" (aka the rest of the NCW).

However, Diana's declaration comports exactly with the views of NCW founders (Kiko Argüello and Carmen Hernández) who clearly championed the rights of the "Old Israel" which include the "Old Israel's" right to the land from which they were cast out 2000 years ago; and which, per European Powers who wanted to be rid of them (the Jews) anyway - created an artificial state (1948) in which to dump them. And Hell has reigned ever since.

Meanwhile, the real import of Diana's post is exactly the "theology of Kiko and Carmen" which is that Israel remains God's "Chosen People," and that Israel shall be granted the "political Messiah" Israel has long expected.

This belief is in direct contrast to the TRUE TEACHING OF CATHOLICISM that Jesus Christ is the MESSIAH prophesied throughout the Old Testament and that THE CHURCH is the "New Israel."

THERE IS NO OTHER MESSIAH!

The NCW rejection of this FACT, as again set forth by The Diana, is why Archbishop Athanasius Schneider has defined the NCW as a Protestant-Jewish Heresy.

A BEACON OF LIGHT IN A SEA OF DARKNESS.

 It was almost 2 years ago, just before the closing down of our beautiful island, that Guam hosted a unique personality, in the person of Bishop Schneider.

 

This was a joyous occasion,which was paired with the official reception by Archbishop Byrnes of his Pallium.

 

As the proverb tells us, a lot of water has traveled under the bridge since that nice weekend. Yet the essentials remain the same, and this crisis revealed to us the challenges God asks us to face.

Our decisions will have grave consequences, they are not easy to take. As the New Testament revealed to us, we shall be mocked and often persecuted for our faith, even inside our own Church. 

In fact throughout the world last year hundred of thousands of Catholics have suffered persecution, some even the martyr for their belief. It was true in Syria, Irak, Armenia, Lebanon, Cyprus, Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, China, North Korea, the Central African Republic, Nigeria, Sudan, Ethiopia.

Bishop Schneider has a particular understanding of being persecuted for our faith, since he grew up in the German Catholic minority in the former USSR. Praying and receiving the sacraments thanks to courageous ministers who took great personal risks to tend to their flock, in an underground Church, just like the first Christians in the Roman Empire.

The contrast with our Church of Nice could not be wider.

Hence his perspective is unique, since he brings to us his own experience of how to deal with persecution.

Today I am sharing with you a video, of the interview of Bishop Schneider by Michael Matt of the Remnant.

It has been a privilege for me to meet both men on different occasions. What I have taken out of these meetings is a deeper knowledge of our religion, as well as an understanding that for us  living our lives as Catholics is not a proposition for the feeble, and the meek.Our faith shall be tested in ways we could not anticipate 2 years ago.

Both expressions “convivencia civil” and “union civil” have, however, substantially the same meaning, as it is manifest also for instance in the Argentinian legislation. On December 17, 2002 a law called “Law of Homosexual Cohabitation”, in the original Spanish langue called “Ley de Convivencia Homosexual” No. 3376 was approved in the Province of Río Negro in Argentina. THANK YOU (AGAIN) TO THE DIANA

Just a short thank you to The Diana for crediting JW for bringing Bishop Athanasius Schneider to Guam. 

If in fact I had anything to do with Bishop Schneider's coming to Guam, I would have been posting about it for months, especially given that he has called out the likes of The Diana as subscribing to a "Jewish-Protestant Heresy." 

However, other than a re-post of CCOG's flyer a couple days ago, not only did I have nothing to do with bringing Bishop Schneider here, I purposely refused to get involved as I did not want to bring controversy to his visit, since ultimately his ability to visit Guam rested on the authority of Archbishop Byrnes to invite him.

The real credit for bringing Bishop Schneider to Guam goes to the CCOG and I can't remember the last time I have been to one of their meetings. 

But while I'm at it, I want to again thank this same Diana for getting rid of Apuron and RMS for us. 

As you may be aware, the only "weight" JW could ever bring to this battle was the number of our pageviews, which you can see are now over NINE MILLION. And I would estimate that a good 90% of those views are due to The Diana keeping the debate alive, as - per her current mention of JW -"she" still is, and once again, driving even more views to JW.

It seems so long ago now, but the whole thing was pretty much dead only a few weeks after the Fr. Paul thing in the summer of 2013. But thanks to The Diana, and with a lot of help from certain clerics in the chancery, JW was given an endless stream of things to fire back at, and fire back we did, which in turn produced tens of thousands of comments.

Ultimately it was the comments which drove the blog as more and more people would tune in just to see the comments, which exponentially drove up our numbers. And with each click up on the counter in the right side bar there was another "thump" of the tell-tale heart 'neath Apuron's bedroom floor.

By October 2013, those "thumps" from our counter began to drive Apuron crazy and he ran to Rome to try to shut me down - a move I learned about when on 10 October 2013 I received a cease and desist letter from Cardinal Edwin O'Brien, then-Grand Master of the Equestrian Knights of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem:

It was when I received this letter from the Vatican that I knew that I was on to something, but still did not know what, because while I had heard rumors of what eventually led to Apuron's demise, I had no knowledge of it and knew no one who did. 

The question was why was Apuron so afraid about my then-little blog, and so afraid that he ran to Rome? I really had nowhere to go for answers but thanks to The Diana, JW continued to grow and the comments came flooding in. And within those comments were increasing references to "the Agat boys." 

The rest is history and I'm no longer interested in entertaining thousands of comments, or - as you can see - even posting. But, via a friend who sent me a copy of The Diana's recent post about JW, I was just reminded as to how The Diana helped JW become the powerhouse it became, and eventually led to the first ever "ridding" of a bishop, not only by the action of the laity, but in the face of absolute opposition from the Vatican, not just by O'Brien, but by the prelate who has now taken his place: Cardinal Fernando Filoni. 

By the way, five years after O'Brien ordered me to stop picking on Apuron, O'Brien was named by Archbishop Vigano as one of the prelates involved in the homosexual cabal in the Vatican (Page 5).

Yesterday, Rome time, presbyter-smuggler extraordinaire, Bishop Camillo Ballin, met with Pope Francis.

As you will recall, nearly two years ago, Bishop Ballin informed us that he was now the bishop of refugee-presbyter, Luis Camacho*, despite the fact that Camacho is still a priest incardinated in the Archdiocese of Agana. 

So how could he do that? How could he just incardinate a priest who is still incardinated in the Archdiocese of Agana? Well, when you're a neocat, it's easy. They have no hierarchy, no ecclesial authority but their own. 

As we have long seen here in the Archdiocese of Agana, ground zero for neocat aggression, the neocat hierarchy simply makes it up as they go along. Anywhere else, that would be called Protestantism. 

However, when it hides inside the Catholic Church, it's at least labelled Disobedience. And, at least one bishop has had the courage to call it Heresy:

"It is a Trojan horse in the Church...it is Protestant...(it) is completely absurd...it is Lutheran...it is Heresy....Thus they justify all their heretical practices and teachings with Vatican II. This is a grave abuse." - Bishop Athanasius Schneider

BUT WHY DON'T MORE BISHOPS SPEAK UP?

Today is the feast of Saint Eusebius of Vercelli, Bishop. The note in the Breviary says that "he worked tirelessly against the Arians for the restoration of the faith." His Catholic.org bio notes that Arianism is a "heresy which never died out." 

Indeed, it has not, in fact, it is probably more powerful than ever, just more subtle than in the time of Eusebius (4th century) when more than half the world's bishops embraced it. 

The most visible descendants of Arius (a priest who taught the heresy) are the Witnesses of Jehovah, Iglesia ni Cristo, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints (Mormons). 

All of the above religions are amongst the fastest growing religions in the world, and all three teach that Jesus is not God, or more precisely, that he is not equal to, or as our Creed states it: "consubstantial with the Father."

Mr. Fülep: While the tradition is persecuted, there are some new modern movements which are highly supported. One of them is the community of Kiko. What is your opinion about the Neocatechumenal Way?

His Excellency Bishop Schneider: To speak openly: It is a Trojan horse in the Church. I know them very well because I was an episcopal delegate for them for several years in Kazakhstan in Karaganda. And I assisted their Masses and meetings and I read the writings of Kiko, their founder, so I know them well. When I speak openly without diplomacy, I have to state: The Neocathecumenate is a Protestant-Jewish[12] community inside the Church with a Catholic decoration only. The most dangerous aspect is regarding the Eucharist, because the Eucharist is the heart of the Church. When the heart is in a bad way, the whole body is in a bad way. For the Neocatechumenate, the Eucharist is primarily a fraternal banquet. This is a Protestant, a typically Lutheran attitude.[13] They reject the idea and the teaching of the Eucharist as a true sacrifice. They even hold that the traditional teaching of, and belief in, the Eucharist as a sacrifice is not Christian but pagan.[14] This is completely absurd, this is typically Lutheran, Protestant. During their liturgies of the Eucharist they treat the Most Holy Sacrament in such a banal manner, that it sometimes becomes horrible.[15] They sit while receiving Holy Communion, and then they lose the fragments because they do not take care of them, and after Communion they dance instead of praying and adoring Jesus in silence. This is really worldly and pagan, naturalistic.

Mr. Fülep: The problem may be not just practical…

His Excellency Bishop Schneider: The second danger is their ideology. The main idea of the Neocathecumenate according their founder Kiko Argüello is the following: the Church had an ideal life only until Constantine in the 4th century, only this was effectively the real Church. And with Constantine the Church started to degenerate: doctrinal degeneration, liturgical and moral degeneration.[16] And the Church reached the rock bottom of this degeneration of doctrine and liturgy with the decrees of the Council of Trent. However, contrary to his opinion, the opposite is true: this was one of the highlights of the history of the Church because of the clarity of doctrine and discipline. According to Kiko, the dark age of the Church lasted from the 4th century until the Second Vatican Council. It was only with Vatican Council II that light came into the Church. This is heresy because this is to say that the Holy Spirit abandoned the Church. And this is really sectarian and very much in line with Martin Luther, who said that until him the Church had been in darkness and it was only through him that there was light in the Church. The position of Kiko is fundamentally the same only that Kiko postulates the dark time of the Church from Constantine to Vatican II. So they misinterpret the Second Vatican Council. They say that they are apostles of Vatican II. Thus they justify all their heretical practices and teachings with Vatican II. This is a grave abuse.

Mr. Fülep: How could this community be officially admitted by the Church?

His Excellency Bishop Schneider: This is another tragedy. They established a powerful lobby in the Vatican at least thirty years ago. And there is another deception: at many events they present very many fruits of conversion and many vocations to the bishops. A lot of bishops are blinded by the fruits, and they don’t see the errors, and don’t examine them. They have large families, they have a lot of children, and they have a high moral standard in family life. This is, of course, a good result. However, there is also a kind of exaggerated behaviour to press the families to get a maximum number of children. This is not healthy. And they say, we are accepting Humanae Vitae,[17] and this is, of course, good. But in the end this is an illusion, because there are also quite a lot of Protestant groups today in the world with a high moral standard, who also have a great number of children, and who also go and protest against the gender ideology, homosexuality, and who also accept Humanae Vitae. But, for me, this is not a decisive criterion of truth! There are also a lot of Protestant communities who convert a lot of sinners, people who lived with addictions such as alcoholism and drugs. So the fruit of conversions is not a decisive criterion for me and I will not invite this good Protestant group which converts sinners and has a lot of children to my diocese to engage in apostolate. This is the illusion of many bishops, who are blinded by the so-called fruits.

Mr. Fülep: What is the quoin stone of doctrine?

His Excellency Bishop Schneider: The doctrine of the Eucharist. This is the heart. It is an error to look first at the fruits and ignore or not take care of doctrine and liturgy. I am sure that there will come the time when the Church objectively examines this organisation in depth without the pressure of the lobbies of the Neocathecumenal Way, and their errors in doctrine and liturgy will truly come out.

Joshua Aglubat has given us quite a "testimony" of what the NCW has done for himself and his family. Of course, he prefaced said testimony with a wonderful greeting. While from a Neo like himself we might expect the usual Peace, Joy, He is Risen or something along that line followed by a double smack on both cheeks, instead Joshua chooses to greet us a bit differently:

Dear Joshua, let's make this easy. The Catechism of the Catholic Church states that the Eucharist is a SACRIFICE:

1366 The Eucharist is thus a sacrifice because it re-presents (makes present) the sacrifice of the cross.

Bishop Schneider says that Kiko and his NCW "reject  the idea and the teaching of the Eucharist as a true sacrifice." 

Our rejection of the NCW has nothing to do with all the goody-goody things that happened to you. Our rejection of the NCW has only to do with the NCW rejection of the central truth of our Faith: that the Celebration of the Eucharist is "a sacrifice because it re-presents (makes present) the sacrifice of the cross.”

This rejection of the central truth of our faith places you outside the Catholic Church and validates Bishop’s Schneider’s claim that you are a member of “Protestant-Jewish heresy with a Catholic decoration.” 

You only have to show us that Bishop Schneider is wrong and that Kiko teaches exactly what the Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches. Here, let me copy it again direct from the Catechism:

1366 The Eucharist is thus a sacrifice because it re-presents (makes present) the sacrifice of the cross.

Now, this should be easy for you, Joshua. 

Kiko has his own Catechetical Directory which is a SUMMA of his teachings. You have only to provide here a copy of a direct quote from Kiko's Catechetical Directory which states that Kiko believes and teaches that "The Eucharist is thus a sacrifice because it re-presents (makes present) the sacrifice of the cross."

If that is what Kiko teaches then Bishop Schneider is wrong, we are wrong, and you are right. And we will withdraw all our criticisms and go home. 

You can end this, Joshua. You can do it. You can be the Neo-hero. Ready? Okay. One, two, three, GO!

Oh, one more thing. Please don't take as long as the Archbishop to find the document permitting your different reception of the Eucharist, which is now at One Year and 133 Days, or Diana's finding the corporate documents showing that RMS is a corporation sole, which is now at 196 days. And you don't want us to put a counter on you too, would you. I mean, really, I'm running out of room in my sidebar! Hurry now.
