BISHOP ATHANASIUS SCHNEIDER: THE NCW IS A JEWISH-PROTESTANT HERESY

Also:

Mr. Fülep: While the tradition is persecuted, there are some new modern movements which are highly supported. One of them is the community of Kiko. What is your opinion about the Neocatechumenal Way?

His Excellency Bishop Schneider: To speak openly: It is a Trojan horse in the Church. I know them very well because I was an episcopal delegate for them for several years in Kazakhstan in Karaganda. And I assisted their Masses and meetings and I read the writings of Kiko, their founder, so I know them well. When I speak openly without diplomacy, I have to state: The Neocathecumenate is a Protestant-Jewish[12] community inside the Church with a Catholic decoration only. The most dangerous aspect is regarding the Eucharist, because the Eucharist is the heart of the Church. When the heart is in a bad way, the whole body is in a bad way. For the Neocatechumenate, the Eucharist is primarily a fraternal banquet. This is a Protestant, a typically Lutheran attitude.[13] They reject the idea and the teaching of the Eucharist as a true sacrifice. They even hold that the traditional teaching of, and belief in, the Eucharist as a sacrifice is not Christian but pagan.[14] This is completely absurd, this is typically Lutheran, Protestant. During their liturgies of the Eucharist they treat the Most Holy Sacrament in such a banal manner, that it sometimes becomes horrible.[15] They sit while receiving Holy Communion, and then they lose the fragments because they do not take care of them, and after Communion they dance instead of praying and adoring Jesus in silence. This is really worldly and pagan, naturalistic.

Mr. Fülep: The problem may be not just practical…

His Excellency Bishop Schneider: The second danger is their ideology. The main idea of the Neocathecumenate according their founder Kiko Argüello is the following: the Church had an ideal life only until Constantine in the 4th century, only this was effectively the real Church. And with Constantine the Church started to degenerate: doctrinal degeneration, liturgical and moral degeneration.[16] And the Church reached the rock bottom of this degeneration of doctrine and liturgy with the decrees of the Council of Trent. However, contrary to his opinion, the opposite is true: this was one of the highlights of the history of the Church because of the clarity of doctrine and discipline. According to Kiko, the dark age of the Church lasted from the 4th century until the Second Vatican Council. It was only with Vatican Council II that light came into the Church. This is heresy because this is to say that the Holy Spirit abandoned the Church. And this is really sectarian and very much in line with Martin Luther, who said that until him the Church had been in darkness and it was only through him that there was light in the Church. The position of Kiko is fundamentally the same only that Kiko postulates the dark time of the Church from Constantine to Vatican II. So they misinterpret the Second Vatican Council. They say that they are apostles of Vatican II. Thus they justify all their heretical practices and teachings with Vatican II. This is a grave abuse.

Mr. Fülep: How could this community be officially admitted by the Church?

His Excellency Bishop Schneider: This is another tragedy. They established a powerful lobby in the Vatican at least thirty years ago. And there is another deception: at many events they present very many fruits of conversion and many vocations to the bishops. A lot of bishops are blinded by the fruits, and they don’t see the errors, and don’t examine them. They have large families, they have a lot of children, and they have a high moral standard in family life. This is, of course, a good result. However, there is also a kind of exaggerated behaviour to press the families to get a maximum number of children. This is not healthy. And they say, we are accepting Humanae Vitae,[17] and this is, of course, good. But in the end this is an illusion, because there are also quite a lot of Protestant groups today in the world with a high moral standard, who also have a great number of children, and who also go and protest against the gender ideology, homosexuality, and who also accept Humanae Vitae. But, for me, this is not a decisive criterion of truth! There are also a lot of Protestant communities who convert a lot of sinners, people who lived with addictions such as alcoholism and drugs. So the fruit of conversions is not a decisive criterion for me and I will not invite this good Protestant group which converts sinners and has a lot of children to my diocese to engage in apostolate. This is the illusion of many bishops, who are blinded by the so-called fruits.

Mr. Fülep: What is the quoin stone of doctrine?

His Excellency Bishop Schneider: The doctrine of the Eucharist. This is the heart. It is an error to look first at the fruits and ignore or not take care of doctrine and liturgy. I am sure that there will come the time when the Church objectively examines this organisation in depth without the pressure of the lobbies of the Neocathecumenal Way, and their errors in doctrine and liturgy will truly come out.

  1. The only thing I can say that is Impossible for God to do is for God to ungod Himself. Guam Neo's need to respect thy Father's house? It is His house not Kiko that happens to discover he's got a better way to run God's house, and please, neo's stop trying every which way to ungod God? It ain't going to work.

On Guam we all have been taught to follow the traditional practices since and ever since. With the NCW in the picture I cannot love the Neocathecumenal Way because I don't know a darn thing about it. How can I love what I don't know! Archbishop Byrnes, many souls are in your care. Restore the Church' on Guam back to what it's meant to be , the one we've always been practicing universal style! Amen.

    1. While I certainly appreciate and support the intent of the comment, we need to back off on defending against the neo by claiming "traditional practices."

Traditional practices, "since ever since," the faith and practices of your forefathers and mothers, were discarded in 1969 when the church went "groovy," if you follow my drift. In fact, at a recent "regular" Mass, I counted 12 blatant abuses of the GIRM.

I know that once I say that I'll get hammered with all sorts of criticism about how I'm not really attending Mass if I notice the abuses, but too bad. I do notice. And I believe that it is the Holy Spirit who makes me notice because he wants something done about it.

Long before the neo grew into any sort of power, Catholics were leaving the church in droves. In fact, they left in droves in proportion to all the "groovy" things the church tried to do to keep them: turned the priest around, got all kinds of laity up on the altar, lay people distributing the sacred host, the bands, the microphones, the "cool" priests, etc.

This not a call for a return to theTraditional Latin Mass, this is a call to what the Church already clearly requires in Sacrosanctum Concilium, the Vatican 2 document on the liturgy which called for Latin to be "retained" and for Gregorian Chant to retain "pride of place," and the post conciliar documents like Musicam Sacram which clearly outline how music is supposed to be integrated into the Mass.

So yes, Archbishop Byrnes, please "restore the Church on Guam back to what it's meant to be." Unfortunately though, what "we've always been practicing universal style" is often more abusive than what the neo's do. Amen.

    2. Agreed. Among the most destructive Vatican II liturgical innovations is contrived, stereotype bullshit billed as cultural sensitivity and diversity. In most cases, it's racist and divisive.

This is deplorably obvious in the majority of US Black and Hispanic parishes which are essentially segregated. Defensively insular and racially exclusive, they know next to nothing about Roman Catholic Traditions and they're sinfully undercatechized. Negligent bishops and Pastors are to blame for this terrible situation. Inner city Catholic schools continue to close nationwide due to low enrollments. Even merged parishes can't survive.

Black Catholic means loud-colored African fabric vestments, screeching gospel music, shouted pentecostal-style sermons and hollering congregations. With Hispanics it's obnoxious "contemporary" music, loud Mariachi bands and pietistic old country devotions American-born Hispanics hate. Charismatics and Neocats are often found in their churches, but they aren't allowed to disrupt Masses.

Asian parishes are insular as well, but they won't tolerate the ethnic insults. The only difference I've seen in their Masses is use of Vatican-approved vernaculars. Otherwise, their devout churches are orthodox Roman Catholic and in total compliance with the GIRM.

I have absolutely nothing against Latin. We were raised on it from the cradle through high school. As kids it was as familiar to us as English and it did unify the Church. Many Catholic WW2 combat veterans have said that Mass was always comforting wherever they were because it was standardized in Latin and understood by everyone.

  2. The Trojan Horse theory has been mine all along as well. I truly believe that Kiko has only one concern and that is making himself immortal and ensuring that when he dies his sect branches off into its own religion. It is all fueled by his sick and twisted sense of self adulation. I believe he is using the Catholic Church as the means to bring his worshippers together in order to eventually break away from the Church.

  3. How refreshing to hear from a true shepherd and teacher of the faith, not only is the Holy Eucharist the heart of the Church, but Christ himself tells us, It is his Body and Blood, is there any reason to doubt what God says? As the catechism of the Catholic Church assures us also; "The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life. The other sacraments, and indeed all ecclesiastical ministries and works of the apostolate, are bound up with the Eucharist and are oriented toward it. For in the blessed Eucharist is contained the whole spiritual good of the Church, namely Christ himself, our Pasch." (CCC 1324) This friends is how we know for certain that His Excellency Bishop Schneider is teaching "Truth" through the spirit of truth, the Holy Spirit. He echo's what Christ, through Sacred Scripture, Sacred Tradition and Christ's Church are teaching, most especially this greatest treasure of the Church. The Holy Eucharist.

We pray that other prelates, open their hearts to the truth that Christ is revealing through his Church, and to denounce the errors of Kiko and his NCW.

  4. Bishop Schneider's wisdom is being criminally ignored by Rome and the local bishops. Copies of his findings should be handed out at every church on Guam after every Sunday Mass until the Neocats are history.
If left to their own diabolic devices, the NCW will turn Catholic liturgies into carnival side shows and the Faithful will be exiled. Don't allow your Pastors to tolerate their atrocities!

This bullying Neocat vermin can be put out of business. Laity in our diocese dumped a very large group of hostile, heretical Charismatics around 30 years ago. The few left here have been kept under firm Chancery control since then. No more wild, pentecostal activities. An awful group of 50+ at my church dropped to 6 or 8 oldsters who met at the parish hall kitchen table. They soon disappeared altogether.

Bp. Schneider's dire warnings about the NCW remind me of the ignored Doyle-Mouton Report which exposed rampant pedophilia among US Catholic priests way back in 1984. The USCCB's powdered princes totally rejected the heavily documented Report and destroyed the booming career of Fr. Tom Doyle OP, an exceptionally brilliant canon lawyer (5 university degrees) who worked at the Washington DC Nunciature. Mouton was a wealthy Louisiana civil lawyer from a prominent old family. He left the legal profession, devastated by the deceitful Church he had blindly trusted and defended against massive abuse charges for years.

Despite its rejection, the Doyle-Mouton Report was the gift that kept on giving and it eventually ripped the abuse-enabling US bishops a collective new one. It forced exposure of their systematic pedophile priest coverups, triggering $3 billion in nationwide abuse settlements. Los Angeles and Boston took the hardest hits.
