DeleteLOL. Yes. Apuron disdains anyone who thinks he has Filipino blood. A friend of mine donated $20,000 once to Catholic Social Services. At a ceremony where his gift was recognized, he happened to be standing near Apuron and to make conversation he asked him if he spoke Tagalog. (My friend is Filipino.) Apuron turned to the man who had just given $20k to the Catholic Church, sneered at him and said "I have NO Filipino blood!" LOL. That's Tony.

The whole operation will be sprinkled generously with questions and allegations of the motives of the victim and the backers of the victim.

Cardinal Pell went through the same thing you are going through, and he did not step down. What you are going through is nothing new. Follow the example of Cardinal Pell who also did not step down or resign as Archbishop.

I agree with you. I have not heard anything in the news about the plans of the Archdiocese; therefore, I assume that they will pursue the lawsuit. I am sure that there will also be an investigation into Mr. Quintanilla's allegation now that he has come forward.

ReplyDeleteJoshua D.C. No one has issue with anyone wanting a closer relationship with God. We too want this.for we are all Christians. The issue is with Archbishop Anthony and the actions that he is taking that is negatively affecting our faith community. He is supposed to be our Shepherd, guiding us. Unfortunately, many of of his flock feel betrayed and disillusioned with his actions. The recent allegations of sexual abuse further compounds this. Granted, many of our Neo communities are not intimately involved in the machinations of Archbishop and do not understand how we have come to this juncture of discord between the catholic community. I invite you all to read through the facts presented in junglewatch (absent the rants, if you like), do your own research, and maybe talk to those who have left the Way. You might be surprised at what you find. God bless us all!
