JUNGLEWATCH RESPONSE TO ISA KELLEY BOWMAN

A certain Isa Kelley Bowman has written a column in today's Guam Daily Post. (Note: The column, as found on the Post website, is written in two languages. Only the English is copied below):

'Este un Katoliku na tåno'' ('This is a Catholic country')
By Isa Kelley Bowman

Her name was Savita Halappanavar. She was only 31 years old. She was just seventeen weeks pregnant.

She was found to be miscarrying and was admitted to the hospital in Galway, Ireland. The doctors refused to treat her, which would have meant essentially providing an abortion, and she died horribly of septicema, or blood poisoning.

Allegedly, she was told, as explanation, "This is a Catholic country."

Don't accept that your faith means you must necessarily buy into divisive, intrusive rhetoric about "abortion."

Don Rubinstein has a fine article about the long cultural history of abortion in the Philippines and Micronesia. Anthony "Malia" Ramirez told him of the indigenous CHamoru practice and indigenous CHamoru terms.

Vivian Dames has written with great sensitivity about the need for a reconciliatory, maternal and compassionate discourse.

Many will come out to protest abortion as the killing of children. Yet those are the same who will also continue to support the church despite its own crimes against children.

Why were none of those children heard for so long on Guam? Can we not give ear to the vulnerable when they cry out?

My heart is absolutely broken.

The rituals of our sexuality comprise a greater and older cult practice than any religion, uncontrollable and indomitable.

We cannot treat this as a single, uncomplicated issue. I am concerned for the safety of women as well as children. I am concerned about teenage pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases and child abuse and sexual predators.

Why are we so loud about abortion and so silent about rape?

Until I hear the church come out in the full force of its passion to protect women and men and girls and boys against rape and abuse just as loudly as it protests abortion, there is no morality in its position.

As a PhD university professor, especially given what appears to be her expertise, Ms. Bowman probably regularly lectures on the evils of profiling, stereotyping, and the dangers of generalizing particular groups of humans.

Yet, apparently for Ms. Bowman, Catholics are fair game, as it would be difficult to find a better example of profiling, stereotyping, and generalizing a particular group of humans, than her column in the Post.

In order to engage Ms. Bowman's deductive fallacy (i.e. Catholics are a single robotic entity and have no right to protest abortion unless they protest other stuff), I'll have to blow my own horn. And I beg your indulgence to do so.

There has been no one more visible in the fight against the clergy sex abuse scandal over the last four years than myself. And, likewise, there has also been no one more visible on the legislative front in the fight against abortion than myself. And both wars have cost me much.

While most of the rest of the island was running for cover, I was publicly standing alone against the powers of Apuron for at least two long, lonely years. I was rewarded for my efforts by Apuron publicly threatening to sue me on the front page of the PDN in May 2016. The cost of Apuron's threat and his long war against me has cost me, my family, my businesses, my health, my whole life, more than most people will ever know.

And now that the truth is pouring forth, the threats from the Apuron camp have not abated. In fact, they have increased and become exponentially more personal, hostile, and costly. And while some are now speaking up, there are also "some" who I thought would "be there" (when worst came to worst, which it has) who were not. Such is the cost of standing for truth.

Relative to abortion on Guam, after nearly 30 years of the local Catholic leadership doing absolutely nothing legislatively to engage the reality that Guam was the easiest place in the nation to procure an abortion, I and a friend started The Esperansa Project, and a very long, hostile, costly war with some of the most powerful people in the legislature followed. (Most of that war is documented at Esperansa.org and GuamOpenGovernment.org.)

Between 2008 and 2016, I personally spearheaded 12 legislative efforts to do something about the free-for-all abortion industry that was thriving on this island, and mostly thriving, not because poor women wanted an abortion, but because powerful men needed to hide the evidence of a similarly thriving sex-slave industry, as the investigation into the Blue House would at one point uncover.

As for being a member of the Church that Ms. Bowman apparently despises, I don't recall anyone being more visible in the local press defending and sharing the Catholic faith as myself, a fact which can be easily verified in a search for my name in either of the two local newspapers, and as also catalogued on my blog TheMassNeverEnds.com.

But beyond me, the other Catholics which Ms. Bowman attempts to impugn and belittle have accomplished something no other Catholics in the world have done in modern history: rid themselves of an abusive bishop.

With their walkers, wheel chairs, canes and rosaries, a small group of mostly elderly Catholics began to stand up to the most powerful man on Guam. And in doing so, they also began to stand up against the culture of silence imposed on them by oppressive and cowardly clerical bullies like the one they were now standing up against.

And after more than a year of pounding the sidewalk in front of the Cathedral, Sunday after Sunday, during "Apuron's Mass," the sound of that pounding finally reached Rome. But not just Rome. That sound of pounding feet was also heard in the hearts of what is now more than 150 "children" who for decades lay quivering in the dark with horrible, suppressed memories, if not ruined lives.

In other dioceses around the world, bishops were removed or disciplined only after the press or aggressive lawyers and legislators initiated an investigation. Not so, Guam. In fact, the press (for the most part), the lawyers, and the legislators did not get involved until the pounding and the crying got too loud to ignore.

No. In Guam, the same Catholics who Ms. Bowman says have no right to protest abortion unless they also protest sex abuse are the very Catholics who did what no legislator, no media person, no lawyer, and no university professor had the guts to do.

And speaking of University professors, Ms. Bowman references her colleague, Vivian Dames, who she says "has written with great sensitivity about the need for a reconciliatory, maternal and compassionate discourse."

Ms. Dames is the wife of Dr. Gerhard Schwab, also a university professor, and who was once in the employ of Apuron during a time we are now learning he was raping nephews in the chancery bathroom.

"In 1986, he moved to Guam, where he became married and continued in his professional work at the Archdiocese of Agana for three (3) years."Resolution No. 312-33 (COR)

And speaking of Ms. Dames' writing. Here is something she wrote:

"Lou (Leon Guerrero) attributes her becoming pro-choice to her Catholic education..."

- Dames, Vivian Loyola. Asian/Pacific Islander American Women, A Historical Anthology/Chamorro Women and the politics of Abortion in Guam, Ed. Shirley Hune and Gail M. Nomura. New York University Press, 2003. Pg. 375.

How curious, that Dames' colleague and author of the subject column is criticizing the very church (i.e. "Catholic education) which produced Guam's foremost "pro-choice" advocate.

KAMALEN KARIDAT: THE CENTRAL QUESTION

The real matter before us relative to Kamalen Karidat is not primarily whether or not it is an "integrated auxiliary" of the Church, nor is it why the corporation never had a board meeting or filed tax records in its 24 years of existence, nor is it whether or not the corporation should be dissolved or somehow transformed.

No, the real issue before us is whether or not monies raised by Kamalen Karidat, either through its fundraisers, its solicitation of donations, its commercial activities (thrift store, real estate rentals), or any other means, and thought to be destined for the care of the poor, was used by Anthony S. Apuron for his own personal purposes or any other purposes other than what was proposed to the giving public.

It is understandable that those who are now trying to "fix" the problem just want to move on, put the past behind, and get on with the ministry that KK was said to have been initially established for. But then that puts those who are now trying to fix KK at odds with not just Archbishop Byrnes' very public commitment to transparency, but at odds with the growing number of faithful and public in general who have come to expect it.

The central question is: Did Anthony S. Apuron use money either raised or generated by Kamalen Karidat for personal purposes? And if so, how much? What did he use it on? Who authorized the transfer of that money from KK to Apuron? Where are the records? And if the records aren't there, then why aren't they there? And who is responsible?

We are at a critical juncture in this diocese. People like and trust Archbishop Byrnes. Continuing to like and trust Archbishop Byrnes is critical to the recovery of this diocese, not just financially, but in terms of souls. And while the fate of Apuron relative to the outcome of both the Vatican and civil courts is not in the control of Archbishop Byrnes nor anyone else in a leadership position in this diocese, the investigation into the above questions IS.

MAYBE HE KNEW WHAT WAS COMING

Letter: Apuron asked help from Pope, knew what was coming

On May 25, 2016, Archbishop Anthony S. Apuron crashed a papal greeting line in St. Peter’s square to plead his case to Pope Francis.

We know this because of a series of images captured by a Vatican photographer... CONTINUED

IT IS TIME TO PLACE THESE MINISTRIES BACK WHERE THEY BELONG

I have been extremely hesitant to wade into the Kamalen Karidat controversy here on JungleWatch. There are some complex legal issues that I believe are not clearly defined yet and I would prefer to leave those issues, at least at this point, to the lawyers.

In short, though, the central issue is whether or not Archbishop Apuron is still in control of the Kamalen Karidat since he retains the title "Archbishop of Agana," and KK's bylaws stipulate that there can be no "meeting" (quorum) without the presence or representation of the Archbishop of Agana (ByLaws. Article 8).

In effect, Article 8 calls into question whether or not there was even a legal meeting to elect the new board since the Archbishop of Agana (Apuron retains the title) was certainly not present, and it is an open question as to whether or not Coadjutor Archbishop Byrnes can be considered "representation."

But we'll deal with that another time.

Meanwhile, there is this troubling paragraph from the press release:
"While the board deliberates on the issues and pending legal counsel, its members are grateful to the Archdiocese of Agana for overseeing and maintaining the operations of Kusina Kamalen, KOLG and the Catholic Pro-Life Committee during this period of reorganization."
Just personally, I was immediately troubled by the KK board being "grateful" to the Archdiocese of Agana, which of course, is in fact: the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church as it is present in the Archdiocese of Agana, Guam.

I was troubled because, in fact, feeding the hungry (Kusina), teaching the faith (KOLG), and protecting life (Pro-Life) is EXACTLY what Christ commanded his Church to do.

In other words, it is PRECISELY the Divine Duty of the Archdiocese of Agana (the Church in Guam) to DO what the KK board is saying it is grateful to "the Church" for doing - while it apparently goes through some sort of reorganization.

It is NOT the duty of some corporation, WHOLLY AND LEGALLY separate from Christ's One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church (as is KK) to feed the hungry, teach the faith, and protect life. Rather, it is the DIVINE DUTY of that Church, our Church, to do exactly this.

I believe that in the end, if justice and transparency triumphs, we will all see that Kamalen Karidat was established for other reasons than what was sold to the public.

But beyond that, it is time to place these ministries back where they belong: with the ONE, HOLY, CATHOLIC, and APOSTOLIC CHURCH.

DAILY POST: MOTHER OUTRAGED AT APURON

STILL BETWEEN 1000 AND 3000 VIEWS PER DAY

Wonder why???

TIMOTHY VS DIANA

Perhaps it was Providence which chose a "Timothy" to write this blog and a "Diana" to write the other one:

From today's Martyrology:

Holy Timothy, the disciple of the blessed Apostle Paul, by whom he was ordained Bishop of Ephesus. After many contendings for Christ, because he rebuked them that were offering sacrifice to Diana, they stoned him, and a short while thereafter he fell asleep in the Lord, (in the year 97.)

Diana of Ephesus
And while I have yet to "fall asleep in the Lord," which is appointed in God's good time, there is no doubt that by not hiding behind a pseudonym I have exposed myself to a constant stoning of another kind. That's okay. Like my patron, I will continue to "rebuke them who offer sacrifice to Diana."

THE KIKOS' O'MALLEY CONUNDRUM

The kikos are all excited about a recent papal quip which they have interpreted to be an exoneration of their man (Apuron).

On January 18, speaking of a Chilean bishop accused of colluding with a priest-abuser to cover up his crimes, a bishop who happens to also be the pope's personal friend and appointee, the pope told a reporter: “The day they bring me proof against Bishop Barros, I’ll speak," Pope Francis told the reporter. "There is not one shred of proof against him. It’s all calumny. Is that clear?”

Ah yes. This comports well with the drumbeat use of the same word (calumny) by Apuron and his handlers in responding to his own accusations.

However, there is ONE BIG DIFFERENCE. Well two, actually. First, there is the fact that the Chilean Bishop (Barros) was NOT accused of personally sexually molesting anyone, but only in colluding with a cover up. Apuron, of course, has been accused of not only molesting, but raping.

But the big difference is that the accusation against Barros has already been discredited by a Chilean court, while Apuron has demanded that the accusations against him NEVER GET TO COURT!

One would think that, now, with the pope backing a bishop who has been exonerated in a court of law, that Apuron would be wildly desirous of the same opportunity. Yet, he demands that the cases against him be dismissed! Apuron does NOT want his day in court. Now why would that be?

Also, the kikos should think carefully about getting too excited about the pope's position on the matter. Next to Filoni, the kikos best friend is Cardinal Sean O'Malley. O'Malley, the Archbishop of Boston, is also the Chairman of Domus Jerusalem, Inc., the "non-profit" which raised the money to build Kiko's personal "Vatican," the Domus Galilaeae Center in Israel on the banks of the Sea of Galilee.

O'Malley is a regular at the big Kiko-shindigs there (and other places). He wrote glowingly about one of those shindigs here. He also posted a nice little pic with some familiar faces:

And O'Malley, who is also the pope's personal appointee to head the Vatican commission on sex abuse, did not have kind words for Francis' quip in support of his South American buddy:

It is understandable that Pope Francis’ statements yesterday in Santiago, Chile were a source of great pain for survivors of sexual abuse by clergy or any other perpetrator. Words that convey the message “if you cannot prove your claims then you will not be believed” abandon those who have suffered reprehensible criminal violations of their human dignity and relegate survivors to discredited exile.

GOD CHOSE THE WEAK TO SHAME THE STRONG

From the Guam Daily Post story
Alexander Chen ·

Tim, in 10-20 years from now, the only 'disaster' done to this diocese was by you and your followers who have deliberately scorned and demonized a dying Bishop who claims 'innocence', WIHTOUT due process nor any undeniable-proof other than 'allegations' for lucrative settlements in a very impoverished region of the world.

Apuron is dying, what benefit did you get for fabricating stories with NO HARD EVIDENCE as the Bishop claims 'innocence'? whereas waiting for the Vatican verdict would have been the wise and prudent way to adequately face these allegations, you deliberately 'chose' to relentlessly and viciously demonize not only Apuron, but even the Pope, Vatican’s dicasteries, any Cardinal, Bishop or person that may threaten to disagree with your predetermined conclusions... it begs the question... why?

God is the God of history and he is the God that "chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong" (1 Cor. 1:27 RSV)

May the powerful 'dark' forces in the island learn what St. Paul meant by 'the Power of God' (i.e. Christ unjustly crucified) from Apuron's humble prayer for his enemies.
LikeReply41dEdited

Mr. Chen gives me too much credit. In fact, other than being willing to be the one to keep the news in the news, I don't deserve any credit. APURON DOES.

I didn't accuse Apuron of molesting anyone. John Toves, Roy Quintanilla, Walter Denton, Doris Concepcion, Roland Sondia, and Mark Apuron did.

I didn't run Apuron out of town. Apuron ran out of town.

I didn't tell young men that they couldn't be priests in the Archdiocese of Agana unless they joined the Neocatechumenal Way, Apuron did.

I didn't create a neo-only seminary and then pretend that it was not a neo-only seminary in order to raise money for it, Apuron did.

I didn't create what now appears to be a fake charitable corporation that for nearly a quarter of a century solicited money from the public to care for the poor and instead used the funds for personal reasons, Apuron did.

I didn't craft a deed that gave away control of a mega-million dollar property to a shadow board, Apuron did.

I didn't pay for a false certificate of title for said property, Apuron's attorney did.

I didn't illicitly - and in violation of canon law - terminate the pastorship of Fr. Paul Gofigan, Apuron did.

I didn't publicly trash Msgr. James Benavente, Apuron did.

I didn't ordain men I knew who shouldn't be ordained, Apuron did.

In short: Apuron did, Apuron did, Apuron did.

And most, if not all, of these stories were already news before I posted about them in JungleWatch. So what exactly did I do, Alexander Chen?

It is absurd to think that the pope and powerful Roman cardinals are even reading my blog let alone being influenced by it. What a laugh.

Let's look at the list of people I would have had to influence to get where we are:

  • Over 155 alleged victims
  • Many attorneys
  • Federal judges and magistrates
  • Superior court judges
  • The Pope
  • Cardinal Burke
  • Archbishop Hon
  • Archbishop Byrnes
  • Several other powerful church prelates
  • All of the local media
  • Hundreds of local faithful
  • etc., etc., etc.

Wow, I must be really good. To believe Mr. Chen, I would have had to con all these people and keep conning them. Really? A guy with a blog? Or was it because I had facts? documents? truth? And more importantly because of what Apuron himself did: HE RAN.

And by the way, Apuron was in perfect health when he ran. In fact, let's revisit that moment because Apuron's defenders like to cast his running in the current context of the mega allegations that have now poured forth.

Apuron ran to Rome just days after Roy Quintanilla came forward on May 17, 2016. We know this because of this series of pictures taken by a Vatican photographer on May 25, 2016:

Archbishop Apuron runs to the Pope from Undercover Neo on Vimeo.

Now let's review.

At the time Roy Quintanilla came forward, there was no law in place lifting the civil statute of limitations on sex crimes against minors. In fact, there wasn't even any talk about it yet. Roy Quintanilla had NO legal recourse at all. In fact, it was Apuron who had all the legal power. He could have simply sued Roy for defamation and there wouldn't have been a thing Quintanilla could have done about it. Attorney David Lujan might have been standing next to Quintanilla, but at that point, there was nothing Lujan could have done either.

Apuron had already shown his willingness to sue as he had already threatened to do so to both John Toves and myself. So why didn't he threaten to sue Roy? In fact, why DIDN'T he sue Roy? At this point there was only one allegation from someone who hadn't lived on Guam for many years. And yet this was reason to run to the Pope?

As already mentioned in the previous post, Australian Cardinal Pell had been accused of the same thing as Apuron. And Pell responded by immediately leaving Rome for Australia to face his accusers and exonerate himself, while Apuron did exactly the opposite.

Yet, Mr. Chen and others want you to believe that I am the cause of Apuron's downfall and the reason he is "dying."

Of course, Mr. Chen's pathetic attempt to impugn me as the cause of all this is as absurd as any sane person believing the Vatican has the resources to render a verdict that will even matter in the civil sphere. It won't. Apuron's guilt or innocence (or his liability since it is a civil and not a criminal case), will be determined in our own Superior and Federal District Courts, NOT the Vatican.

But to answer Mr. Chen's question: "what benefit did you get..." The answer is absolutely nothing, unless you want to count the 4 subscribers I have at $5.00 per month:

In fact this has not only cost me 4 years of my life, but threats on my life, and much, much more. So why did I do it? The question is: DID WHAT? Report on the news? Run a blog?

For those who don't know, keeping injustice in the news was something I had already long since been doing:

In 2008, I learned that Guam was the easiest place in the nation to get an abortion because of our scandalous lack of pro-life legislation. In response, I and a friend initiated The Esperansa Project which essentially exposed the scandal about Guam's almost completely unregulated abortion industry, and then as we tried to get legislation through, we began exposing the legislators who opposed it.

In addition to The Esperansa Project, I maintained a web log at GuamOpenGovernment.org. If you follow any of the work I did there, you will notice that senators who played a major role in trying to derail our legislation are no longer senators. And I (and others) accomplished this simply by keeping the injustice in the news.

(Note: While Senator Aguon was a major opponent at one point, he later became our greatest ally. When he did, I offered to take down the posts showing his former opposition to our legislation. To his credit he asked me to leave it up because it was the truth about what he did and he was sorry for it.)

When I learned of the injustice against Fr. Paul, and later Msgr. James, I simply did what I was already doing: keeping injustice in view. At the time, I had no idea that doing so would lead to the uncovering of decades of debris of the type we are now seeing. I recounted all of this in Orchestrated

Lastly, I find Mr. Chen's quoting of following scripture to be quite ironic:

God is the God of history and he is the God that "chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong" (1 Cor. 1:27 RSV)

It's ironic because Archbishop Apuron was the most powerful man on Guam. More powerful than any government official because he could not be voted out of office. In fact, this is why he often bragged: "No one can get me." And he was right!

Also, he was not subject to any open government law that would permit us to view records. And of course, there was the centuries of fear inculcated into the Catholic faithful that kept so many from "speaking against the priest."

By contrast, I had no position, no money, no power, no authority, no pulpit, no newspaper, no radio station - all of things Apuron had. And I had everything to lose and nothing to gain. And when we look at the people who finally did bring the house down on Apuron, we see that it was the elderly and infirm who kept up their rosaries and their signs, Sunday after Sunday, walking and walking.

So at least Mr. Chen is right about something. God really DID chose the "weak...to shame the strong."

A DISASTER

Many people have been accused of things they did not do. And if they did not do them, they do not run. Apuron ran. To justify his running, he has trumped up stories from everything from being ousted by an evil Chinese gambling syndicate to now some people with a so-called power agenda and the "powers of darkness." Dr. Eusebio,

Si Yu’os Ma’ase for all your prayers. May I ask that you send my statement below to the media. I do not want to reveal my email address.

May God bless you.

Statement from Archbishop Anthony Apuron :

I have been made aware of an interview given to a Guam news publication in which Mark Apuron accused me of committing an act of sexual abuse against him many years ago. As I lay sick after another surgery and I face the final judgment approaching evermore close, having lost interest in this world, God is my witness: I deny all allegations of sexual abuse made against me, including this last one.

All these events are helping me to direct my hope towards the only righteous judge, and for this I am very thankful. I am saddened, however, by the timing of this latest accusation that alleges an act which supposedly happened in incredible circumstances and surroundings. All these allegations have been mentored and promoted by the same source and this one seems particularly timed to influence the verdict of the Vatican trial conducted by the Holy See, as a last resort out of fear that I may be exonerated.
As the Church in Guam is being destroyed by people who have only their power agenda at heart, may God have mercy on us all and save His Church from the powers of darkness. I pray that the truth may prevail; I pray for my accusers: fill them with what they desire; as for me, when I awake, I will be satisfied with Your face, oh Lord (Ps. 17,15)

The plight of Cardinal Pell in Australia provides a perfect example of what one does when one believes he or she is falsely accused. After being accused of sexually molesting young boys, Pell, who was working and living in Rome at the time, immediately went home to Australia to face his accusers and exonerate himself. And while Pell went "Rome to home," by contrast, Apuron ran "home to Rome."

So who are these people with a power agenda? Why doesn't Apuron just name them? Because he can't. Because there is no power agenda. Power over what? This dilapidated soon to be impoverished diocese at the edge of the world? Really?

And destroy the Church in Guam? Huh? Even without the sex abuse allegations, Apuron's running of this diocese for three decades was - in the words of the Vatican appointed coadjutor bishop - a DISASTER

THAT'S JUST HOW THEY ROLL

On June 28, 2017, Cardinal Fernando Filoni, Prefect for the Congregation of the Evangelization of Peoples, wrote Archbishop Michael Byrnes, the following:

Full letter here

In effect, Filoni was warning Byrnes that he plans to block the sale of the Yona property if he closes RMS.

As Filoni notes, the sale will need approval of the Holy See, and in this case, he, Filoni, is "the Holy See," since it is his Congregation which represents the so-called "mission territories" of which Guam is a part - though why after 400 years of Catholicism we are still considered a "mission" is a mystery.

Well, as you know, Archbishop Byrnes has closed RMS. And here's what Filoni's actions will mean: It will mean the closure of and selling of your churches and schools.

Here's why.

Currently there are efforts to mediate the 155-plus lawsuits out of court. The central motivation to do this is the belief that the Archdiocese of Agana currently has enough insurance and "non-essential" assets to satisfy the attorneys and the plaintiffs.

The "gem" in the list of non-essential assets is the Yona Property, formerly occupied by RMS, which has been valued between 40 and 70 Million dollars. But even if the value is lower, it is still the largest, most valuable asset in the mediation pot.

You can bet that if this property is removed from that pot - by Filoni blocking its sale - mediation will immediately fall apart and all 155 cases will head to court.

At that point the archdiocese will have to declare bankruptcy and place all of its properties at the mercy of the court, including the "essential properties" - your churches and schools.

At this point, Filoni will no longer be able to block the sale of anything because control of all properties will lie with the courts and no longer with the Archbishop of Agana.

We must remember that this is no small matter. This archdiocese now has 400% MORE abuse cases per capita than the infamous Boston scandal which was made into the movie Spotlight.

With 155 cases already filed at 5 to 10 MILLION each, that's 775 MILLION to ONE AND HALF BILLION DOLLARS in law suits. Even if only 25% of this has to be paid out, that's still TWO HUNDRED to FOUR HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS.

Given the list of "non-essential" properties the plaintiffs and their attorneys appear willing to settle for, it appears the most this could cost us is between 50 and 100 MILLION dollars, with all of that coming from properties that are not churches or schools.

But if Filoni blocks the sale of the Yona Property - as he is intending to do - mediation is out the window and your church and your school will be on the chopping block.

Having endured the most vile tactics from the neocat power brokers for nearly two decades, and seeing the lengths their local puppets were willing to go through to cover for them, we should not be surprised at a scorched earth policy that intends to wipe out your parish church and your children's school.

That's just how they roll.

NO. I DID NOT TAKE DOWN APURON.

I've heard a lot lately about how I "took down Apuron." Sometimes it's a comment of thanks, sometimes admiration, and sometimes also fear. For if I took down the most powerful man on Guam...it follows.."what could he (Rohr) do to me?

More than one person has told me: "I wouldn't want to be up against you."

First, if you haven't done anything wrong, there is nothing to worry about.

Second, I DID NOT TAKE DOWN APURON.

The fact is that I did nothing but catalog facts which were already either in the news or soon would be. That's it.

I never did any investigation. I never researched any documents. I never interviewed anyone. I never did "nuthin'" but sit here and post what others sent me or re-post news stories. And as you know, THEY SENT ME A LOT!

And essentially, it wasn't even what I posted that was important. It was the

Ultimately it was Apuron who took out Apuron. I could have blogged forever and nothing would have come of it. But Apuron's hired monkeys decided to pick a fight with me, and in doing so drew world wide attention to the blog.

That attention eventually raised some long buried skeletons. First, a John Toves, and then a Walter Denton, then a Roy Quintanilla, then a Roland Sondia, then a Sonny Quinata in the person of his mother, Doris Concepcion, then a Mark Apuron - Apuron's own nephew, and on to over 150 victims and hundreds more in the offing whom Apuron is alleged to have raped or molested or covered for.

And then Apuron ran. Apuron ran to papa. Ran to daddy. Yes, RAN TO DADDY.  "Ooohhh that mean Tim Rohr. He's after me." In fact, per Father Paul Gofigan in a January 15, 2014 letter to Apuron, Apuron apparently told Gofigan  that "Mr. Rohr was after" him!

When I read this letter, I could NOT imagine why Apuron was afraid of me. Seriously. This was nearly a year and a half before the first allegation of sex abuse was to come forward. I had no idea where this was going to go.

At this point, it was simply the mistreatment of a particular priest that I was "outing." And as I was soon to learn, there wasn't much support for him, even from his own parish. I had no idea of the parish politics of Santa Barbara, and I wasn't interested.

However, since 2008, I had become quite aware of the Kikos' sinister strategy to rid this diocese of any and all clerics who opposed the Neocatechumenal Way. And I recognized the ugly ousting of Gofigan in July 2013 as just the beginning of the Gennarni-led Anschluss, a strategy laid down in 2002 with the annexing of the Yona Property by the Gennarini-Gestapo, and solidified in the "taking" of control of the property in 2011.

Like communist expansionism, neocat expansionism had to be contained. In fact, it had to be wiped out IMMEDIATELY! I don't make that allusion lightly. Chuck White illuminated Giuseppe Gennarini's Marxist background and tactics here:

"...the idea of cultural hegemony: that is, that to gain power, you first have to get control of the culture of society. The way to dominate a society is...by controlling its cultural institutions and ultimately their culture."

If you have endured through a neo-occupied parish, you'll immediately identify with this. Despite their best attempts to camouflage it (some of them even learn Chamorro), the neo-presbyters simply can't help themselves. They almost immediately launch an attack on religious "cultural institutions," namely cultural pietistic practices. And that's just the beginning.

I can tell you that I was recruited to engage Apuron over the Gofigan affair. But I was a willing recruit. While I was mostly disgusted with the "regular Catholic Church" on Guam (which is why I migrated with my family - for the sake of their salvation - away from my parish and refused to put my kids in Catholic schools), I was quite aware what the Kikos (as distinguished from regular members of neocat communities) were up to. And it was "no good."

I had seen the same in the 70's. A parish in the a quite LA suburb. In the 70's. Completely and forever emaciated by a certain group. I'll tell that story another day. But my encounter with this group prepared me to smell out the kikocats nearly 30 years later in a diocese on the other side of the world.
