HAVE AT IT, FOLKS!

Neocat gives us a lecture. Tells us to leave the church if we think the bishop is wrong. And if you kick out the Neo "blood and tears will be in your hands."

Anonymous February 5, 2014 at 2:06 PM

Don't you think this judgement, nothing was spoken about the love of God in this post. Who all of you give you the rights to condemn? Jesus Christ did not condemn, if the bishop is wrong then built your own Church and be your own Church. If you uprooted the way and oust the Archbishop. Then are you happy? The Church on Guam is dry, no one believes the church and migrated to protestanism. If Neocathechumenal taken out, should we kick out all the Priest that were ordained. How many local boys and girls stood up for vocation here on Guam? One or two. The mercy order is getting old and nor see any new local girls have given up for vocation. If the Neocathecumenal way is uprooted, what happen to those marriages that healed from verge of divorce. This is judgement, if this occur what your intent, the blood and tears of this people will be in your hands. I pray that the lord have mercy on your soul. Is not cancer will kill you but what inside hatred.

  1. To the advise by this neo-- you say: "if the bishop is wrong then built your own Church and be your own Church" You fail to see that this bishop you refer to, in fact, made a decision to join you neos as you build your own separate church founded by Kiko and led by Kiko and has existed only for a few years compared to the Church we non-neos still belong to and did not choose to leave to join the neos;

because, this One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Catholic Church that we non-neos continue to belong to was founded over 2,000 years by non other than Jesus Christ, HIMSELF, and is led by all our Popes throughout those over 2,000 years who can trace their succesorship to Peter in Holy Scripture. Are you not taught that by your catechists?

    2. Anonymous (February 5, 2014 at 2:38 PM): Unfortunately the NCW founder and members have a distorted account of Church history. According to the writings of Fr. Enrico Zoffoli, author of "The Neocatechumenal Way: A Fearful Danger to the Faith," they believe that "the history of the true Church founded by Christ comes to an end with the Pax Constantinia and does not resume its course until the 20th century with the Second Vatican Council, having remained frozen for about 1,600 years … " So in their mindset, they are the “true Church” since they have reverted to the Church of pre-Constantine; this is very similar to the Jehovah’s Witnesses who believe that they are the restoration of first-century Christianity. This group does not acknowledge any of the Councils prior to Vatican II.

Clearly they only believe what Kiko Argüello has taught them. According to their perspective, the catechesis now being provided by the NCW trumps the catechesis received from the Jesuit missionaries who came to Guam in 1668! If you read what Fr. Zoffoli has written — and if you are aware of the beliefs of our separated brethren in other ecclesial communities — you will recognize similarities between the NCW catechesis and what Martin Luther believed.

Although they take offense to our belief that we “Regular”/Non-NCW Catholics are members of the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church, the fact remains that we follow the Pope while members of the NCW — including Archbishop Anthony Sablan Apuron — follow Kiko.

  2. How dare you talk about the Mercy Sisters! Where do you divert the girls too, the monastery in New Jersey. Why because it is of your Belief, the NEOCATECHUMENAL belief.

You talk, about vocations, yet you can't seem to give good sermons. You ramble and roll, look at your watches to make sure that you talk for the alloted time? Your sermons are incoherent and not prepared. Prepare ahead of time and stick to the point!

You ask us to build our own church., the HELL with you. We have been a church long before you ever came. You believe yourselves and the saving power of this island?

When a shepherd tends to only one, flock and not the rest then we have a problem. When the shepherd demands that the church's collect a certain amount of money for AAA to feed your needs, then there is a problem.

We are a giving people, but when you demand and take advantages of our hospitality and generosity, then there is a problem.

You build your church and have Rome appoint the Archbishop as your leader. You can call the Church "the new evangelizations of our beloved living saints Kiko and Carmen. How dare you even insult our intelligence.

By the sound of this letter, for the Sunday masses I attend this sounds like Father Alberto. It sure wasn't written by a local.. Foreign English!

Come out come out wherever you are let's have a public debate that can be televised nationwide. Let the world know what is truly happening.

I can go on and on but not going too.

    1. NEO group you don't decide a lady vocation. She decide. Not you. Leave them alone let God speak to the heart. Not You! Mercy and Notre Dame don't count. True story

  3. "..if the Bishop is wrong". Then Rome will right him.

"..the Church on Guam is dry." i beg to differ. look at us voice our opinions. it is not the opinion you desire however.

"Is not cancer will kill you but what inside hatred". i love my NCW brothers, and can witness how it has helped relationships, marriage, but look what is happening to the church as a WHOLE. We must unite. We cannot continue to celebrate in the dark when the rest the parish is asleep. Per Pope Benedict's letter, we must even attend en masse at least one Sunday a month with the parish.

The other items here not addressed..why is our Archbishop under foreign control. There can only be one Master. Who is the Archbishop's Master?

To allow the NCW is one thing and not a bad thing. But to be a part of it. To take direction from NCW is altogether another road Archie shouldn't have went down.

And Archie is taking direction from NCW. Fr. Aurelio revealed this in his homily. He said, "The bishop took him aside, they gave me a seminary, this and that, that i can't recall. In turn i have to give them you. I have to send you to Asia."...i heard this with my own ears.

And it was not the Pope who called him to Asia. It was Kiko's directive to
    send 10,000 priests to China.

Currently,. you cannot be a Deacon if you do not agree to join the Way. Is this a requirement in other Parishes....NO IT ISNT.

I surmise it is the same with other vocations, you cannot be a Seminarian or join the Order if you're not joining the Neo-Order.

Sad. Coming from a current Neo.

  4. When being corrected by an adult, at times a child will act out because he thinks the parent "hates" him. As the child matures gaining wisdom through humility, he sees the error of his ways and realizes that at no time did hate enter the heart of the parent, but rather through the ignorance of his immaturity.
That is, if the child matures.

  5. Blood and tears? Are you saying we are going to have a civil war? Bring out your weapons and make sure that your commanders and chief are at the front line.

The only blood and tears that will be shed is the destruction of the family system and structure, not to mention the church.

Maybe now the battle, will really begin. I am sure that the Seminary is a big enough property to BUILD YOUR NEO CHURCH. This way you can celebrate according to the rite of KIKO and CARMEN and not to the rite of the HOLY MOTHER CHURCH.

  6. Actually, Guam did not need missionaries. The Catholic Church was established here long before the NCW blew in, and frankly, why don't YOU leave our island? WE DON'T NEED YOU! WE DON'T WANT YOU HERE! It is YOUR movement that has caused this great division in our local church and among our people. Our Archbishop, being made promises by the devil himself, fell for the cult mentality, and voila! Now the people of Guam are oppressed, when they are supposed to be led by a man ROME appointed. Archbishop Apuron has been entrusted with ALL the souls on Guam!! You cry because you think people are not being fair? You cry because you feel you are being attacked? Do you honestly think the Archbishop is being fair to the people of OUR island? Your arrogance is sickening.
Heads up! Word on the hill is...the people of Agana will soon be "catechized" during the Sunday Masses...how dare the Archbishop even think of lording this over the people! You are jeopardizing your salvation and the salvation of many other souls. God help us all...God help our Archbishop, that he may see the TRUE LIGHT of Christ and be a shepherd to ALL of Guam's people, not the select few in the Cult of Kiko.

    1. Catechize during Sunday masses at the Cathedral. By a lay catechist. Is this a new rite from Rome or a new decree by the Archbishop. I don't want things shoved my WAY. Like Pope Francis says, do not force your mission on another. LEAVE ME BE. I shall worship and pray to The Lord in my own WAY .

    2. Of course this is a new decree from the King on the Hill. And of course the catechesis will be given by one of the Neo catechists. Be careful! His mission is to do a "Mass" brainwash...if this took place in any church where I attend Mass, I would walk out...adios!

    3. New Neo priest at Agana Cathedral talk suicide two in one family. Not the subject for Presentation of the Lord in the Temple. Always talk of suicide in the Neo. Stop. We suffer enough for this in Guam. Why the newest priest talk so depressing? Now the Catechist will talk of more depressing things. No more 9:30 for me. I miss the Cathedral music though. Adios

    4. Suggestion. If these NCW lay people will catechize this Sunday at Cathedral, I suggest we kneel down, take out our rosary and pray the rosary. Also, don't accept the kiko cards that they will be passing out.

  7. This is a disgrace to the people of Guam. The sisters of mercy of the America's are a much loved part of our catholic culture on Guam. Who the hell do the NCW think they are. They are not a part of Guam, never have been, or will be accepted by our people. What a disgrace.and the archbishop is just shocking.

  9. Our good religious sisters:

    -belong to a community
-have their rules to,live by according to their Order
    -have agape together
-share and spread the news throughout their own give. Ministry
Because they do not follow the rules and teaching of the NEO their congregation is null and void for women who want to enter the convent.

Maybe you all want to phase out the religious sister communities so you can import religious sisters to save our heathen souls.

  10. Anyone know if archbishop Apuron intended to take property from the sisters of mercy of America.

  11. According to sources the NCW have asked archbishop Apuron for properties belonging to the mercy sisters of Guam.

  12. There is ongoing cathechesis at Barrigada. I would suggest anyone who has questions to ask the cathechists there. You'll most likely be stonewalled and you will see for yourself that the "Kikos" aren't open to anything that isn't fed to them straight from Kiko. No questions asked because "God will reveal" when the time comes. What baloney.

    2. I am sick and tired of the division caused by the NCW. I am sick and tired of being told by the NCW at Mass that I, as a regular Catholic, am a member of a lesser church. I am sick and tired of the archbishop destroying the local RCC in order to win converts for the NCW, an effort which results in many Catholics abandoning their faith altogether. I am sick and tired of the NCW claiming to emulate the early Church, when all of the extant early liturgies and the Didache show that this claim is utterly false.

You should read MLK's "Letter from a Birmingham Jail." Perhaps you will then see why we won't -- indeed, as faithful Catholics, can't -- knock it off.
