GIRM PAR. 305 - NOT THAT IT MATTERS

GIRM 305. Floral decorations should always be done with moderation and placed around the altar rather than on its mensa.

No exception noted in the NCW Statute. However, permission probably given directly from the Pope to Kiko as per SOP.

  1. table.
  2. A table of foodmealcoursefeast.

  1. Pope Francis has funny arrangements on his Santa Marta altar too. In the realm of things, you're right, no big deal.

    1. Of course IT DOES MATTER. Liturgical norms are not modifiable without appropriately noted exceptions - and always written. I have seen no "arrangements" by Pope Francis that are not permitted. Perhaps you can identify them.

Looks like our dear Archbishop is consecrating the bread into the body of Christ. Why is no one kneeling? What a lack of respect!
Shame on the Acolytes and the kikos in observance.
Doesn't look like any non-kikos were invited. I guess it would be embarrassing when they knelt in reverance while all the kikos stood and clapped and danced.
      Oh what a mess!

    3. Janet: the seminarians are cut off commenting (otherwise thought of as making asses of themselves.) May I remind you Arch A Bishop and PIzza Pie are trying to build a bigger and better chapel. Not that anyone would kneel. Just explaining to you that there is not enough room. Hey, they need more dough for a chapel. Do you understand? MORE MONEY. More room = more Kiko Karpets! You don't have to donate if you don't want to. They might already have their benefactor. Presto! Easy Peasey Pizza be with you, Janet!

    1. Anonymous (July 7, 2014 at 7:51 AM), while we wait to see if the Archbishop will agree to publish the Financial Report per the ad from Concerned Catholics of Guam, there are other issues that are worth discussing. JungleWatch is not myopic and keeps tabs on lots of things, thank goodness!

    2. There will be more public calls for the report. Meanwhile, write a letter to the editor of the PDN and call for it.
