I want to apologize for the context of my comments in the recent PNC article. I said that I had only heard rumors in 2010 of abuse. I also said that to date, no Apuron victim has come forward.

I did NOT mean to imply that you, John, were “just spreading rumors.” In fact, I salute your bravery in standing up and demanding a response. Every victim wishes that they had someone like you to stand up for them, take huge risks, and demand answers.

It is because of people like you, John, that this world becomes a safer and more accountable place.

I hope that you can accept my apology.

Sincerely,
Joelle Casteix
Western Regional Director, SNAP

You may post this on JungleWatch. I want to be as transparent as possible.

  1. Well Ms. Casteix, as you can see, the rumors are now very credible allegations of a very serious nature. SNAP should come back to Guam and file a lawsuit.
