POPE FRANCIS: "A CATALOG OF ILLNESSES"

Pope Francis blasts bishop bureaucrats. Something tells me his recent visit with AAA left him in a bad mood.

Clearly the Pope is saying bishops are not above criticism. If kikocrats (the Dianas) et al say, "But it is the Pope alone who can criticize subordinates," then we say, "And we join him, then."

VATICAN CITY (RNS) — Pope Francis launched a blistering attack on the Vatican bureaucracy Monday, outlining a "catalog of illnesses" plaguing the church's central administration, including "spiritual Alzheimer's" and gossipy cliques.

By the way, as expected, I've received some heat for keeping up the fight through the Christmas season. Well, then I am in good company as this was the Pope's personal Christmas message to his bishops. Christ came into the world to engage and confound the Herods. I'd say we are right in there with the spirit of the season..the real spirit of the season. Merry Christmas.

And in the "spirit of the season" be sure to check back tomorrow for a nice big Christmas gift.

  2. Tim,
In pursuit of the truth, one should never let down our guard, as sacred scripture reminds us "Your opponent the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour" 1Pt5:8. We would like to be in that same company with our Holy Father and all who stand for the truth.. Merry Christmas to You and the Family, Thanks for all that you do..

The Christ Child came to bring us peace. To restore peace and trust in our broken world. Where the gift of peace has been removed we have every right to work together to restore the gift of peace to our church. Tim Rohr, CCOG , and all who work for peace are truly following the spirit of the season, the spirit of Our Beloved Holy Father, Pope Francis Supreme Vicar of Christ on Earth. Be loyal to Holy Mother Church who alone will guide us to salvation.

  4. I was going over the list yesterday when it got published, as we were commenting and analysing with a small group from Taize which I had updated on our situation in Guam; the youngest member of our group commented :"looks like your bishop is the poster boy for the Pope's demonstration".
As you see my friends AAA is becoming famous, as he wished, but for all the wrong reasons. At least he put Guam on the world map.
    Merry Christmas to you all.
May the birth of our Lord bring us hope, love and discernment.

  5. Tim, to think that the Baby whose birthday we celebrate will be crucifide for us, then the fight should go on until we have peace on this island. Thank you for keeping up the fight. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
