KIKO'S MENORAHS

Posted by Chuck White

To many Catholics, the Neocatechumenal practice of substituting something that looks like a Jewish menorah for a crucifix on their "altar" is irksome. Why do they do this? Is there a hidden reason?  Read more.

  1. The manora of the old testament is a 7 candle object adorned with flowers representing the presence of God in the burning bush. It is located in the Holy place with the show bread and altar of incense. It is 7 because it represents the covenant of God and his people. The presence of God however is atop the ark in the Holy of Holy place. From what I understand the Jewish people use an eight candle manora to distinguish from that found in the Holy place. These objects of the OT are only prefigurations which finds fulfillment in Christ. The cross of Christ which is the sign of our salvation is what is on our altars, it is the tree of life from which hangs the fruit of everlasting life. Can that compare to a manora? OT typology are never greater than their NT fulfillment.

  2. Recall from a study of Tabernacle that the manora or golden lampstand was a 7 lamp golden object located in the Holy or (Golden) place of the tabernacle along with the altar of incense, and golden table of the bread of the face.(Ex 25:31~. It is seven as requested by God, as it is a sign of the Covenant that God has with his people. I understand that Jews utilize 8 lamp manoras to differentiate and distinguish it from that ordered by God and utilized specifically in the tabernacle, and I would guess in the Temple constructed by Solomon. The lampstand was to be lit continuously representing the presence of the Lord above the Ark of the covenant in the Holy of Holies (Lv 24:4)(Similar to our lit candle to signify the presence of the lord in our Tabernacles). The Golden lampstand decorated with flowers in its construction in one of its symbolisms represented the presence of God in the burning bush when Moses came before the Lord. This object is a prefiguration of something greater in the fulfillment or coming of Jesus Christ. and we know that these OT typologies are never greater that their NT fulfillments. In our Altars at Holy Mass, there should not be located on the Altar any other objects except the Crucifix, the sign of our salvation, the tree from which hangs the fruit of everlasting life. Why Kiko uses the Manora on the altar of sacrifice can only be assumed as a mis-application of theology and does not have any significance or basis. In the future worship in heaven portrayed by John's vision we see again the seven lamp candlestick visible in heavenly worship Rev 4:5. So again, Kiko is inconsistent with what appears in Sacred Scripture. God Bless.

  3. This is why I do not understand why the NEOs insist that they are part of the Catholic Church. The Kiko teachings, like you said, are inconsistent! In my opinion, it is because it was started with a modern day radical human being named Kiko, not My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

  4. And so, Neocats, leave our altars alone. We do not want the large plyboard upon our Altars. We do not want menorahs. We do not want flowers. We do not want the crucifix removed. Our Mass is a sacrifice. And clergy, why aren't you clarifying this at the pulpit? We do not need a history lesson on lampstands. Defend the faith!

    1. Therein lies the problem...weaklings in priestly garbs not man enough to stand up in opposition to liturgical abuse and practices.

  5. NEOS are Protestants. Ask them if they would kiss the statue of the Baby Jesus and they will tell you NO, but they will put up every painting, menorah, that Kiko has APPROVED up in their places of worship. NEOS are Protestants. Stay out of our Catholic Churches and build your own churches.

    1. Surprising that you mention statues, What do you find in Heaven when one comes before the presence of God in the Holy Temple, but the presence of his holy saints. When we enter our Catholic Churches, this is what we see the Statues of the Holy Saints, a reminder that we are entering the presence of Almighty God. If Kiko had his way, he will empty our catholic Churches of these Icons and replace them all with his art work. Who gave him the authority to make such changes? Is it Kiko's fault or our Archbishop for allowing it?

  6. When you understand that Kiko is not a beginner, but knows were he wants to arrive, you are able to see his projet.
For him the Church needs to be rebuilded in his name (new John Baptist) and with his gnostic simbols he continues to spread his eretic dottrine (see what he meens when he speaks about "nueva estetica").
His way doesn't come from God.
The Holy Mass is completly changed.
The neos do not belive in the our Lord in the species of the bread and wine.
All the objets are signs like the kannukkiã in the Eucaresty and other gadgets that are made by Kiko.
Also this is an adoration to the guru Kiko. A narcisist that has no limits in is superb to change also the Mass as Christ ordered to do: he is over Him.
When a new dottrine whants to take place, the firs thing that does is to change the cult to God to show to be the best and true.
As the latins said:" lex orandi lex credendi": in the way you pray (the cult to God) you belive.
