US priest: Voting for the pro-abort in this election may put ‘your soul…in grave danger’

PHOENIX, Arizona, October 6, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) — “Your soul will be in grave danger” if you vote for a candidate and party that are committed to expanding abortion on demand, “especially if you present yourself for Holy Communion after casting such a vote with the full knowledge of what you’re doing,” the rector of the Cathedral of Sts. Simon and Jude said in a homily skewering pro-abortion arguments and informing Catholics of their duty to vote pro-life.

Father John Lankeit, whose diocese is led by Bishop Thomas Olmsted, began his homily explaining that there is an important distinction to be made between social ills and intrinsic evils. He said Catholics may disagree about issues of “prudential judgment” like immigration, racial injustice, the economy, and healthcare, but may never “at any time, under any circumstances” commit, promote, or enable intrinsic evils.

Guam residents will be voting this November to fill 15 legislative seats. There are 30 candidates to choose from with 15 from each party. Know your candidates stance on abortion before you vote.

  1. Thank you, Lord, for the shepherds like Fr. John Lankeit and Bishop Thomas Olmsted! We need the boldness of their spirit, the clarity of their thoughts, and the devotion of their soul to the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. We had enough of the imposters speaking the Baloney language. It is time to stand up against the devastation of the Catholicism and put all our efforts to heal the wounded Body of Christ!

  2. The presidential election 2016 are of high importance for it is not only about choosing the president of the USA, but protecting the Catholicism as well. More than great, America needs to became human again! The parareligious sect called the Neocatechumenal Way works for those politicians aiming to impose a new hybrid religion (created on the basis of three monotheistic religions: Judaism, Islam and Christianity) as the only acceptable and official religion on the territory of the USA, European Union, Middle East and Arabia. These people are real danger because they are ready to do whatever it takes to obtain their goals! Therefore, the American Catholics should vote for the candidate who is "pro-life" in fighting for human lives in generally, meaning the one who is capable to stand up against abortion, repeal the military activities on the Middle East and defend religious freedom, providing that what we consider as "religious freedom" is not harmful for someone else's soul.

  3. For the past several elections, I have surveyed the candidates and generated a voter's guide. Knowing how easy it is for a candidate to say I'm pro-life but then vote differently, I always proposed a question as to how they would vote on a specific bill, such as The Women's Right to Know Act of 2011 wherein the abortionist is required to inform a woman of her alternatives and risks.

For this election I would like to propose that someone other than myself actually do the work and report back to us. The bill has already been introduced, albeit in the 31st. It had a public hearing but never got off the ground. We want to see it reintroduced. Many states have already passed such legislation, legislation that would ban abortion after 20 weeks gestation due to the unborn child being "pain-capable."

Simply send a copy of the bill to the candidates and ask them if they would be willing to reintroduce the bill. Keep a record and we'll post it in JungleWatch. Volunteers?
