  1. Very good article.

I'm on the victims' side, but my gut feeling is that these lawsuits are motivated more by greed than justice.

The naive victims are probably being bullied into megabucks litigation by their salivating lawyers. They're the only ones who can't lose. The longer this disaster drags on, the more money they'll make. Extra-judicial settlements that quickly close cases are not to lawyers' advantage, even if jumbo awards are made.

Over the years, we've seen thousands of horrific pedophile priest cases in the US and elsewhere. Relatively few of the perpetrators were laicized or imprisoned. Those still working were simply moved elsewhere to re-offend or retired with their faculties permanently revoked. Vatican personnel records were inviolate in all cases. Imperial Rome provided no victims assistance whatsoever.

If the $55 million wanted is awarded after years of legal wrangling, most of it will land in lawyers' pockets, leaving the victims deceived again and more embittered than ever.

The financially devastated archdiocese will end up as a burned out Propaganda Fide mission controlled by Neocats and their puppet-archbishop.

Abp. Byrnes hasn't seen a "hot mess" yet. When the evicted US military completes its forced move from Okinawa to Guam, at least 40% of the island will be totally owned by the US Government.

Guamanians will eventually be living in an ammunition dump. One of the main reasons resort hotel operators aren't clamoring to buy the picturesque RMS property.

    1. That does not explain the demand for more hotel rooms in Tumon. Another major hotel is planned for Gun Beach.

    2. As I said before, the hotel is needed mainly for US Government officials and defense contractors, not vacationers. The US military presence on Guam is steadily and heavily increasing. As the numbers prove, tourists in the Pacific region prefer Hawaii and Tahiti.

  2. Unless people seeking the depos are licensed investigators retained by licensed attorneys on these cases, none of the data they collect will be admissible as evidence in any type of Court.
