Many Christians, and especially Catholics, are unaware of what this article demonstrates. Most of us are caught up in the media narrative that is focusing only on the modern atrocities perpetrated by both sides.
And because there is the name "Israel," we semi-consciously are equating the modern state of Israel to the Israel of the Bible. This article demonstrates why we, as Christians, cannot do this. I'd encourage you to read it carefully.
AGAINST CATHOLIC ZIONISM
"For orthodox Christians, in no way can the establishment of a modern State of Israel be confused with the fulfillment of the promises given to Abraham because Jesus is the true fulfillment of those promises. To say otherwise would be akin to heresy, the denial of a doctrine. It would deny Jesus fulfilled the Law [Torah] and the Prophets. As fulfillment of the Law and Prophets, we speak of Israel being reconstituted and not of Israel being replaced in supersessionism."
Thank you for sharing this historically correct article. Many Catholics are confused by the reformist concept ( as as advanced by Calvin and Luther) of a judeo Christian heritage. This is a contradiction of the Helleno (Greek) Christian concept based on the teachings of Christ who is the true messiah. Ergo, the dual pillars of catholic doctrine based on faith and reason, which is the anti thesis of the destructive modernist approach where reason comes before faith. Zionism is based on a false judeo messeanic supremacist movement, which finds its roots in the most extreme passages of the Talmud, in total contradiction with the God given teachings of the Torah. The Talmud being the masterpiece of deceit concocted by the pharisees and their descendants. It is by definition anti christic, and therefore anti Christian. We, as gentile have be subservient to the "chosen" people, even though they reject the son of God, and contributed to his temporary death, and subsequent resurrection. For Zionists, Christians are the useful idiots meant to fight muslims, and facilitate the Jewish hegemony over a new greater Israel. Nothing more, nothing less. The judeo Christian philosophy which encourages the hatred of Muslims, who recognize Christ and Mary, is an heretical view of Catholicism
