FUN COMMENTS

On my post AT THE HEART OF OUR DIVISIONS wherein I point out two major departures of Kiko's teaching from Catholicism, the following comments ensue:

Anonymous: The Jesuits were accused of heresies. The LAW crucified Christ.

Me: The Jesuits were accused of heresies by who? The law did not crucify Christ. Our sins did. But thanks for letting us know what they teach you in the NCW.

Anonymous: When the Jesuit mixed science and Christianity Timmy. The Gallileo affair. I taught you know everything since your starting your own church. Pope Rohr. LOL!

Another display of the type of neo-defender intelligence that we have become all too used to on this blog: can't spell, can't construct sentences, no clue about anything, and of course, the usual anonymous personal attack. Again, these comments are more useful in discrediting the Neocatechumenal Way than anything I can post. We do appreciate them.

Here's another fun one:

"...if we are so wrong wouldn't the Pope have realized it already? Unless you are implying that our Pope is blind and can not notice it. and that you are smarter and wiser than him."

We see this kind of thing a lot. What a way to live: "We're getting away with it so we must be right." In the real world this would be seen as the epitome of immaturity, yet they are constructing an entire life on it.

  1. Answer the question. Is it true or not?

  2. Galileo was accused of (and condemned for) heresy as result of his espousal of heliocentricism, but the Jesuits were not. In fact, the Jesuits upheld Church teaching in spite of the fact that they thought Galileo was probably right. This guy has been watching too much History channel.

Also, the Church has in the past suffered heretical movements for long periods before condemning them. The popes that reigned during these periods were not blind, they were hoping to resolve these heresies via less drastic measures. I'm sure Pope Francis is doing the same thing now with respect to the NCW.

    1. Thanks for summarizing this. For those who want to know more about the Galileo episode I recommend the account found in Harry Crocker's history of the Church: TRIUMPH. It is rather complex. The church had no problem with what Galileo believed or posited. What they did want was for Galileo to not teach his theories definitively until more could be known. Galileo decided to do his own thing and the church censored him. The account allows us to better see how the church handles everything that is new, always slowly, and always with an eye and heart for how it will affect the eternal destination of souls.

  3. Again you dance around the question. Yes or no? Did the accuse of heresy? YES OR NO? Not asking for reference, quit manipulating your audience. Lastly NO I'm not part of NCW, not a defender. Just like every charism that is doing good is accused of Heresy. Get my point Timmy and Chucky boy?

    1. You sure are brave hiding behind your tree. A pathetic coward, but your comments are useful.

    2. 7:19 is lying again saying he's not of NCW.

    3. Really? such a childish attitude. If you know the truth about the NCW they do not seek to further the faith, they believe they have cornered the market on the Holy Spirit, the church is wrong, blah, blah blah... Just look at the way that the leaders speak to the Popes.
Is that the way to speak to our Spiritual Father? Kumu chamorro eyu hagas ha esta di ma patmadasu i ilu'na. Dissattentu!

    4. 12:47PM You surely do not know the truth of the NCW. Furthering faith and converting (in a sense of becoming a true christian) can take years maybe even life. One day, yes, your wish (maybe even prayers) will come true and the stop to the NCW may be granted. But all I can say is pray for the NCW leaders. Never once have i said the church is wrong and I am a member myself. Even if Kiko is the founder does not mean he is holier than everybody else. His teachings may be corrected, if noticed it is wrong. And surely a great amount of people have spoken up. So possibly soon, he will be corrected but until then, though you have facts, things may get better. Like it has been said everywhere on this blog, Rome works slow. Not in a negative way, but as Tim pointed out, the are carefully examining the issue (not exactly what he said). It will take time.

    5. Meanwhile, we must do what we can. The only reason Rome is working at all is because of what people like us, around the world, have also said. But here we have the added issue of the bishop, the one charged with moderating the whole affair, not only being one of the members, but advancing the movement in his diocese in a way that damages the rest of the church.
