APURON MUST DECIDE IF HE IS GOING TO BE A BISHOP OR A BROTHER

"Fooled you all!"
I will respond to this in a post since it has appeared in the comments a couple of times. Here is Diana's explanation:

  1. Dear Catholic United,

Apparently, there was a miscommunication. The truth is that the NCW in the Philippines invited Kiko and then invited the cardinal to meet with Kiko. An invitation was sent to Kiko from the Philippines, but somewhere there was a miscommunication, which is understandable. Humans will always make simple errors.

If I had been proved to be wrong, do you think Diana would pass it off as just an "understandable miscommunication...a simple error." HELL NO. She and her clan would have continued the vomit and spit that they had already been spewing for days. But since it was their error, oh well, just a "miscommunication."

As already noted, no bishop has the authority to extend an invitation of any kind to the members of another bishop's diocese without going through that diocese's bishop. The invitation from Cardinal Tagle, had there been a real one, could not have occurred unless Archbishop Apuron had first been approached by Cardinal Tagle and then had given his consent. This is probably why no one thought to question the source because it could not have come from anyone other than Archbishop Apuron. Obviously it did not.

Though the story in the U Matuna did not appear until May 18, according to Diana, the "invitation" had been known since early April:

Dear Anonymous at 11:31 p.m.,

Since April, the NCW already knew that Kiko Arguello will be visiting the Philippines at the invitation of the Cardinal. While those in Junglewatch are estimating the cost of the trip per person, those in the Way already know the exact amount per person. We also know that after the Philippines, Kiko will be traveling to Japan. He was also invited by the Japanese bishops in Japan.

This means that Archbishop Apuron was aware of this lie since early April and DID NOTHING. Thanks Diana for letting us know.

Of course, since the Archbishop is not in the hierarchical chain of the Neocatechumenal Way and is just one of the brothers, he was probably NOT consulted but just passively received the news like everyone else. But rather than excuse the Archbishop , this is exactly why the approved Statutes of the Neocatechumenal Way placed the NCW at THE SERVICE of the bishop and not the other way around, so crap like this wouldn't happen.

The Archbishop must decide if he is going to be a BISHOP or a BROTHER. He can't be both!

Oh and by the way, about that above mentioned "invitation" to Japan by the Japanese bishops. Yah right. Ya mean the same Japanese bishops who tried to kick your tail out of the country a few years ago:

One more BY THE WAY. The NCW will be making a big thing about how many people were at the Paranaque shindig. Again, Kiko is a master of optics. The Paranaque location was not chosen by accident. El Shaddai has seven million adherents. It is the largest, single, most powerful group in the Philippines. Not only was its shrine selected for Kiko's spectacle, the El Shaddai members were invited by the local bishop who is also in need of Kiko's assistance and support due to his ethical problems. It was a ready made stage with ready made numbers. He's good.

  1. Here is another article of what the good Bishop in Japan says about the NCW:

    05 FEBRUARY 2011

    The Neocatechumenal Way in Japan
The Neocatechumenal Way in Japan, by Archbishop Peter Takeo Oakada of Tokyo (UCA News, 2 February 2011)

    Excerpts:
Over about the past 20 years, the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Japan (CBCJ) has expended great time and energy on problems concerning the Neocatechumenal Way (which I refer to hereafter as simply ‘the Way’). To our extreme disappointment, these efforts have not improved the situation.

Of the passion and good intentions of the people of the Way, I have not the slightest doubt. Nevertheless, the Way’s activities over the past 30 years can in no way be called a success. The fact is that the character and conduct of the Way have not adapted well to the Church or society of Japan.

It is perhaps necessary for the Way in Japan to suspend its activities for a period of consideration and reflection which could pave the way for dialog with the Church in Japan.

  2. Presbyter Mario Pezzis' order removed him because the Comboni's did not want him following the NCW. Archbishop should step down before the Capuchins take a similar position with them and may as well because he sadly can't be leading the island when he's obviously following.

    1. The example is a good one. One cannot be a Capuchin and a bishop at the same time, at least not in terms of observing the vows. Thus when when a religious is appointed to the episcopacy he is released from the vows of his order. Once Apuron became a bishop he was technically no longer a Capuchin. The Church authorizes a religious to be released from his vows so he can more freely assume his new duties as bishop. He cannot serve two masters. As a bishop he is now bound to the pope and no longer his former religious superior. The same is true with membership in the Neocatechumenal Way. He cannot serve two masters, especially since Art. 1 § 2 of the Statute makes it clear that the NCW is at HIS service.

  3. I was thinking that maybe Archbishop Tony would rather be a brother than have the responsibilities of an Archbishop, especially now because he is getting older. Maybe there are plans to appoint a Bishop (God help us if it is Fr. Adrian) just like when Bishop Tony was appointed when Archbishop Flores started getting sick. I don't know how well the process will bode for Guam when an Archbishop could not even be appointed in Saipan.

    1. Same will happen here position will not be filled for a long time. That is FACT. Let's get things straightened out about our Assets which are for the POOR first of all and do it now while we have someone in place who can be made to come clean. METROPOLITAN ARCHBISHOP did you see the stole Card. Tagle wore? The one with the lamb around the shepherds shoulders? Did you?

  4. El shaddi venue was chosen so the numbers would look good. They were not all neo members. It is also a known fact that the bishop of paranaque is surrounded in property and financial concerns in metro Manila.

  5. Diana best for you to remain quiet you caused a lot of problems the past month. You always did cause problems just now the issues become widely read all over the world. When will you stop this behavior it's been going on so many years now. Doubt you will get the promotion in your life time after all this.

  6. I think our Archbishop has the best of 2 worlds and masters and enjoying it. I wouldn't be surprised if he (as is typical of him) refuses to step down as Bishop and refuses to give up his membership in the ncw -- that would be so much to give up!!

That's a sad and an awful view and perspective of him, I know; but that has been the only view he has shown us about who he is !

  7. Archbisjop Anthony Apuron cannot be a neo and the leader of an archdiocese. This is the problem. He would be better of and at peace if he resigned as archbishop and dedicate the years ahead to the neo. Seriously he would be happier. At the same time the Holy Father could then appoint Guam a bishop that will unite the church. Arch cannot be happy himself with what is happening but to do nothing is the problem. However, it will be hard for him to resign as he is the one pumping archdiocesan money into the neo. Once he resigns, one day he will, he will have no power to pump church funds into the neo. He knows this. The next Archbisjop of Guam may not allow church money to be pumped into neo.

    2. Logic alone supports 6.47pm. Cannot see anyone on the hill appointed bishop of any diocese in the church today.

  9. Geez, our good Archbishop is able to give blessings during this event, but not able to confirm the students in Maina. This is where is heart is truly is. Towards the end of the event he is all smiles and his tail is Father Pius.

I just don't know what to think anymore about this man. Lord have mercy on me!

    3. Well, in turn, wouldn't it be nice to make him Pastor? Or does he have a better plan.

    4. While almost every neo priest is appointed pastor almost immediately upon ordination - a dangerous practice - Fr. Kidd, whose formation was much more thorough was not permitted to be pastor. Make no mistake. This is the Archbishop's revenge on Fr. Kidd for not going the Neo way. However, Fr. Kidd is a good priest. And he will do what he is supposed to do without the titles or position. But that won't satisfy the Archbishop. Fr. Kidd will be persecuted eventually...if not already.

    5. Someone told me that the Archbishop is Fr. Richard Kidd's Godfather, so maybe the Archbishop won't be as harsh with Fr. Kidd as he was with Fr. Paul Gofigan. The refusal to appoint Fr. Kidd as pastor is a "subtle" form of persecution, compared to what was done to Fr. Gofigan. Only time will tell if it will get worse.
