RECLAIMING OUR CHURCH - ONE PICKET AT A TIME

posted by Jose M.

LOL!

Let's be clear, let's be very very clear.  An archbishop is not the Church.  "Defrock Apuron" is not a "sign against their own Church."  It's sign in defense of our Church.  It is a sign that proclaims our intent to protect our Church.  It is a sign that our Church is not a church of one man and his cult.

What is shameful is that "Diana" still insists that their "Tony" IS the Church. That is why when they see a sign calling for the laicization of Apuron, they think the signs are attacking the church, their church.  We see how that has turned out for them so far.

That said.  In defense of the Church, our Church, our One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church, we return to the front steps of the Cathedral to demonstrate our resolve to protect, to defend and to save our Church.

Thank you, Jose M, for clarifying that the "Defrock Apuron" or "Apuron Out" sign as seen on the picket line is NOT a "sign against our Church."

I'm not sure where the count went off track, but this latest picket was actually Week 40 — not Week 36 as previously reported. The number 40 is quite significant in Scripture as it usually signifies a period of testing and trial. Forty was the number of days the rain fell (Noah's Ark), the number of years the people of Israel wandered in the wilderness before entering the Promised Land, the number of days Nineveh was given to repent to avoid destruction, the number of days Jesus fasted in the desert, the number of days that Jesus appeared after His Resurrection, and many more.

As we were driving to the Cathedral-Basilica, I told my husband that I hoped something significant would happen, given the significance of the number 40. After the picketing was over, Jose informed me that he was assisting in the De-Apuronization of KOLG by weeding out Anthony Sablan Apuron's irritating renditions of traditional hymns and/or Chamorro songs from the playlist. That news, for me, was significant.

Thank you, Jose M, for your work to De-Apuronize our Archdiocese! I pray this is the beginning of the COMPLETE De-Apuronization of the Archdiocese of Agana and that, God willing, Week 50 — Pentecost comes 50 days after Easter — will bring us that news.

    St. Athanasius, pray for us!

St. Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle …

  5. Why did Apuron attack the local Capuchin friary a couple of years ago? Are the public allowed to attend weekday Masses at the Franciscan chapel again?

    3. Those Capuchin friars are providing a valuable service. Being able to attend a weekday noontime Mass, have lunch afterwards and still return to work on time is a blessing.

There was a lovely chapel like that near my office for years. It was always full at noontime, but the liberal priests assigned there felt it was too much trouble and they closed it.
