One of the most consistently read posts on my blog, TheMassNeverEnds.com, is a letter I wrote in 2008 entitled Honest Thoughts on the Neocatechumenal Way. It has remained at or near the top place under "Popular Post" for nearly six years.
Today I received a comment on that post from someone I believe is either a priest or someone else well-placed within the church, and if not that, then at least a well-informed Catholic. The commenter advised me to retain the civil tone of my 2008 letter in the current discussion here on JungleWatch and to not allow incivilities from either side.
I replied with an explanation as to why it is now time to fight fire with fire.
Hmm, the comment contains a phrase commonly used in legal briefs, but I don't think it was written by lawyer.
