"IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SAVE OUR CHURCH, AND HAVE THE ARCHBISHOP AND HIS HENCHMEN STEP DOWN - PLEASE PRESS THE POUND KEY TO MARK URGENT!"
All professionals go through a performance appraisal on some regularly scheduled period within each year. I worked for a 5-Star, 5-Diamond hotel called the Four Seasons Clift Hotel at the time and I ran corporate sales. I was pretty much still fresh off the island. My first performance appraisal came which I scored very well on except in one area - My Sense of Urgency. I had the skills and I did well except in this area. My baffled twenty-some year old self said "What the hell is that?" After a couple of imposed training seminars I got it!
Some synonyms for it are: criticality, exigency, imminence, insistence, pressure, seriousness, and stress. Those all apply to our need for them to step down!
Not going to a Neo mass this Sunday expresses our urgency. So does tying a white ribbon around your car antennas, or delivering signed petitions expeditiously. For if we wait, they dig in deeper.
Coming from my beautiful island culture, I did enjoy the relaxed days, getting things done at my own pace, going to mass 10 minutes late, so on and so forth. The hotel company quickly put a stop to that, especially because they were the only highest rated luxury hotel in S.F. seven year consecutively. I developed that sense of urgency so I wouldn't be fired. Great lesson it was!
So whatever you decide to do, do it with a sense of urgency! You must eradicate this cancer before it spreads much further, and by then, it's usually too late.
Put Fabot Please, Do It Urgently!
p.s. Going viral can grab the major media so all thirteen year olds have an obligation to teach the adults how to do it!
Anonymous (October 18, 2014 at 10:29 AM), I believe that John Toves at 9:18 AM is referring to the use of the hashtag AKA "pound key"/# to us older folks. I know it started on Twitter but I've also seen it used on Facebook.
If I understood John Toves' comment, he's encouraging us to use that symbol right before the word "urgent" (or another relevant keyword) when sharing JungleWatch (posts or links) via social media so that it looks like #urgent.
You found the # symbol, now I guess it's time to use it to hashtag
My goodness. Diana Blogger? A Young woman only walking for 8 years. Will she concelebrate at her own funeral? So sad. No one can fill his/her shoes. so sad.
Diana is in sabbatical at the moment. She need info from Adrian, the Archbishop, her Catechist, Father PIUS, etc. to get some insights as to how she will proceed.
I am sure she will be back in a few days. Not to worry. So don't count your chickens before they hatch.
I don't know why Fr. Ferrandiz is now co-director of vocations but a parishioner at mass this morning had a theory. He said Fr. Ferrandiz is probably going to be vocation director for the diocesan "seminary." You notice that Adrian's photo and position was posted above Fr. Ferrandiz. Too bad. Fr. Ferrandiz is a solid non-NCW priest.
Anon 6:38 PM...didn't I tell you..don't count your chickens before they hatch....Dear Abbey is back from her sabbatical. These past couple days she was at the convivience.
Diana, it is "dear Abby" not Abbey. silly girl. Knew it was you because of your finger wagging style. "Didn't I tell you" Diana, Diana. So how much was the hotel bill for soooooo At any rate, the Beginning of the Year Convivience started on Thursday night October 16th and ended on Sunday, October 19th. There were approximately 400 people at the retreat, and that is mainly the Responsibles and Co-Responsibles. There are about 1400 people in the communities of Guam. Also, we found that many of the brothers who have not been walking have returned to the Neocatechumenal Way. It is always great to see them back in the community. many people. Woweee.
To anon at 10.11pm, scientists have always known about the power of persuasion, specially in cults. Its impact on fragile psyche is quite profound.
I see that you are counting and bragging, so nothing much has changed. As far as dear Abbey, my read on that, was sarcastic humor, but obviously, that flew right over your little head. Oh well!!!! May be next time. Have a safe week. Pizzas!!!!
Anon 10:11PM, I don't know how much was spent for the hotel, but this is the first I have heard about "Beginning of the Year Retreat." Is this some sort of special retreat where the Catechists, Responsibles and Co-Responsibles get double dosage of the Kikolitist Indulgence?
Anonymous October 19, 2014 at 7:10 PM I wouldn't be so sure about that. At the very least he's a neo sympathizer. As an aside, how does a chapel have an administrator? I thought it is still attached to Yigo Church? We really don't see him down there any more...
Oh where, oh where has the, little boy gone? Oh where, oh where could he be? Yes, where is Harold going? He boarded a flight this morning according to my snitch at the airport?
1) did he leave the Kikonest? 2) Is he going to Columbia to bring his family over for the ordination? 3) if this is so. Who is paying? 4) is this you go first I'll fly later? (Sorry no time to cap beginning of sentences at the moment, in a hurry to stop an edit )
Next on the agenda:
1) why are the local priest not a part of anything where as the seminary is concerned? 2) is Father Romy even incardinated into the Archdiocese? 3) is Father Dan incardinated into the Diocese? 4) why are these seminarians still taking the KIikolitist courses? 5) why can't these seminarians have their own set of courses? 6) why are they not afforded the spiritual guidance of Our local priests?
So many questions, need answers.
BTW: I really thought we were going to have two PIRATES of the Archdiocese? What happened to your eye patch AAA? Guess I gotta go to Disneyland!
I am sorry, but I forgot, to ask did Julius and Vincenzo leave too? Is Harold the previledges one?
BTW are they collecting during the daily masses at the cathedral for the plenary indulgence? What is disturbing is that this 50th Anniversary Guam being elevated to an Archdiocese is just that. It is a celebration for the entire island and not just the Cathedral. Why is it that the Archbishop did not select a parish in the North and in the South for those who wish to attend masses and gain plenary indulgence? Those in the northern and southern villages may have parishioners who wish to gain the indulgence. It may find it hard to travel to the Cathedral. In all actually this gaining of plenary indulgence should have been opens to ALL PARISHES!
Maybe the Cathedral just wants the limosna..Ai adai if we have to pay for indulgences!
I attended last evening's (Monday) 6 p.m. mass at the cathedral at the chapel of St. Therese. There was no offering collected. I'm not sure I believe in any kind of indulgence but attending mass is spiritually beneficial. And Fr. Tom said the mass so I know it was a valid mass said by a spiritual priest with correct theology who serves and cares about people and doesn't use or extort vulnerable people.
Anonymous (October 21, 2014 at 5:25 PM), thank you for your feedback regarding the daily Mass at CST. Do you know if Fr. Tom is "assigned" to this Mass? Or did he happen to be the celebrant for that evening? I would like to attend Mass on the condition that it is celebrated by a NON-NCW priest.
I don't know if Fr. Tom is assigned to the 6 p.m. daily mass at the cathedral. But I know he celebrates the mass there at that time frequently. Perhaps you can call the cathedral's pastoral center and ask about his schedule. But remember Coreen who will most likely answer the telephone is NCW.
The Archbishop is schedule to be at Agana Heights Village "Our Lady of the Blesses Sacrament Church" today. We normally do not have Mass on Thursday but today is an exception. Right after Mass I hear there is a light refreshment at the Fatima Hall with the Archbishop with a Q & A to be conducted as well. I hope someone does post questions to the Archbishop for all these hurtfully and wrong doing he has created to our Catholic here in Guam, CNMI, US and the whole World where all the Chamorro Catholics are at.
I would recommend that no one ask him anything. And other than paying him the respect that is due his office, have nothing else to do with him. His "visits" are another ruse.
What if someone wanted to say that we do not wish our Parish Church change to the WAY and request that he (Archbishop) to resign or step down so our Catholic in Guam can begin to heal?
Tim, can you post this?
