Thanks, Tim. This prayer service will be a sustained effort, at least through lent. We pray the rosary under the flame tree below the chancery's lower parking lot at 3 pm. Park along the road into the apartment building below the chancery proper.
We ask that those unable to join us pray at home, at their desks or worksite, in adoration chapels, in solidarity for the Catholic Church in Guam. Let us join our prayers together at this hour of mercy.
Teri, I shall join you beginning today. At 3:00 p.m., I will close my office or excuse myself from meetings and pray. Do we have a special prayer for this?
Gerry, we pray the St. Michael Novena, followed by the rosary.
Glorious St. Michael, guardian and defender of the Church of Jesus Christ, come to the assistance of His followers, against whom the powers of hell are unchained. Guard with special care our Holy Father, the Pope, and our bishops, priests, all our religious and lay people, and especially the children. St. Michael, Watch over us during life, defend us against the assaults of the demon, and assist us especially at the hour of death. Help us achieve the happiness of beholding God face to face for all eternity. Amen. St. Michael, Intercede for me with God in all my necessities, especially....(state intention) Obtain for me a favorable outcome in the matter I recommend to you. Mighty prince of the heavenly host, and victor over rebellious spirits, remember me for I am weak and sinful and so prone to pride and ambition. Be for me, I pray, my powerful aid in temptation and difficulty, and above all do not forsake me in my last struggle with the powers of evil. Amen
Thank you for providing the prayers, Teri, for those of us who are unable to join you in person. Because of an ongoing commitment to pick up our granddaughters, I will have to pray from wherever I happen to be. On days when I am "free," I will make my way to pray with you.
Mary Lou and everyone, a few of us have made it our Lenten offering to pray at 3. Discussions are going on about a morning and possibly, a late afternoon group. We want to be a constant presence on the hill. Pray, everyone, our souls depend on it!
What we are witnessing is the faithful laity praying because of the damage to our Church by an unfaithful archbishop and clergy who support him. Very sad. Biba Katolikon Guam! Cha'mu ma sedi i man tailaji gi Guma Yu'os ta!
Thank you Teri!
ReplyDeletePraying along with you in spirit during the times I'm not able to be physically present. God bless!

Anon@5:15 That is exactly what we want people to do. Pray where you are at 3 pm, as we storm Heaven together as the One True Church.

Read the prayer in silence just now.
