IN MEMORIAM

"I have never not answered a question posed to me about the NCW."

Dear Antoine Ray Garrido Tajalle...In the celebration of the Eucharist in the neocatechumenal communities:
  1. Does the celebrant delay his own communion until after he has distributed the sacred species to all the communicants?
  2. Do the communicants delay consumption of the sacred host until the sacred host has been distributed to all the communicants?
  3. Do the communicants after standing to receive the sacred host then sit to consume?

  1. His silence is contrary to what he claimed, yet as expected, just another lie.

  3. Albert Einstein once said: “If I were to remain silent, I'd be guilty of complicity.” Enough said.

  9. He's waiting for a script from the fools on the hill. Neo members have forgotten how to think and speak outside Pius's scripts. They've been brain washed to repent for their past indiscretions. It's different for us who have always walked the path of Jesus Christ. Keep praying that the Neo Satanists leave our Christian paradise.

  12. I am not familiar with the NCW but I am a practicing member of Opus Dei. When Dan Brown came out with his book, a lot of the same acusations were lobbed against us.I read the archives on junglewatch about the NCW but, it isnt what i saw or heard in Mass both here and abroad. Maybe Im missing something or is this activity visible in Daily Mass?

  13. i don't want to speculate on why he hasn't responded. what i do want to avoid is casting people off when they might be unsure or just sincerely trying to understand.

i imagine that many ordinary (ie, non-high-ranking) neocats had been away from the Church and that joining the ncw was the first sense of religious structure and community they've had for a long time, or maybe it's the first time they've had that. and so our own lack of charity may cause them to fall away from faith altogether. we have to be ready to welcome them back. my point is that our focus should be for all of us to be Catholic, and not to drive neocats away by unkindness.

    1. True. But it's sort of like dealing with the Muslims who say it really is a religion of peace but do not publicly condemn the violence done in their name. The frustration here is directed at the Diana's, the Kiko's, the pius's who speak for them. They must stand up and speak for themselves.

    2. We don't have to speculate on why Mr. Tajalle did not respond, "Diana" dedicated an entire posting consisting of his reasons why he won't respond via comments from Mr. Tajalle submitted to him/her. It was an exercise in denial and rationalization. All too familiar.

I concur with your second paragraph. At the same time, I wholly support Tim's response. The leadership is the real problem, but the members allow it to perpetuate. Even those that have removed themselves from active participation in the NCW are reluctant to reveal or even speak of their experiences.

My speculation, and educated guess, to why former members are sometimes silent is precisely because of the conditioning they received in the ncw. In addition, I am sure many have invested much, whether monetarily or emotionally that it is difficult to come to terms with the harm that the ncw causes (or even caused them). Much like the situation of those who still seem to defend an abusive spouse or not want to hold their abuser accountable.

    3. The short answer to why Mr. Tajalle won't respond to those three questions is because the answer to all three is yes, yes, yes. And the answer to question "do you have permission?" is no, no, no.

And to go there would reveal that they believe something different about the eucharist which is why they celebrate it differently and why they refuse to conform to what Rome requires.

To go there would essentially reveal that they are a different church. This is why the archbishop insists that "Rome has given permission", when he KNOWS it has not only NOT given permission but has explicitly required them to abandon the practice, a fact which is most glaringly evident in the difference between the 2002 ad experimentum statute and the one which received final approval in 2008: http://www.junglewatch.info/2015/02/is-neo-catholic.html

    4. Yes, you are correct Tim. But why is the pope virtually silent on this? He could clear up any supposed ambiguity in a moment. Where are the leaders of the dicastries in relation to these questions? How is it that bishops describe these matters as being of "little pastoral importance"? In the absence of a orthodox and attentive bishop, how and to whom does one complain about liturgical abuses? And how is it that news agencies like Zenit carry articles like the most recent one, dated 5th March, being utter rubbish written by chief propagandist Giuseppe G?

    5. Part of the answer can be understood from reading about the current crisis in the Vatican. The place is a serious mess, there are 1000 times the problems in the Vatican compared to what we have here. Read about it in the link under my most recent post: http://www.junglewatch.info/2015/03/right-and-this-is-all-we-are-asking.html

The other part of the problem is that recent popes have wanted to appear more pastoral than dogmatic or even disciplinary. And the present pope is perhaps even more so. This is a real problem. JP2 not only let the problems with the Legionnaries of Christ go unaddressed, he gave them cover. Hundreds of lives were damaged. The popes are protected from teaching error. They aren't protected from making one....or many.

This is why throughout the history of the church we see reform after reform, often led by lay people. St. Francis was a lay person. I recommend reading Triumph by Harry Crocker III. It will give you perspective...and courage.

In the case of Zenit, they are a privately owned news organization and can put any spin they want on things. And so they do.

Thankyou for the recommendation. I will. In the meantime, you might find this amusing, Tim: http://liturgicalnotes.blogspot.com/2015/03/apologies.html

  14. The recommended book "Triumph" is excellent reading, it is in my reading list and one that is simply refreshing and enlightening. You won't be able to lput this down. Got my copy at the Cathedral-Basilica gift shop. They might still have a couple copies available.
