New lawsuit claims priest sexually abused boy for Scouts merit badge

A former altar boy said a priest gave him his Boy Scouts of America swimming merit badge only after the priest subjected him to repeated sexual abuse in the 1970s, bringing to 23 the total number of clergy sexual abuse lawsuits filed on Guam, as of Monday. CONTINUED

  1. Sad. Just plain ol sad.

  2. A lent of discontent.
A Holy week worse than 2010.
A Fourth nail nailed into the Body of Christ.

  3. Sex in exchange for Boy Scout badge. That's one for the ages. One or two more foundation stones removed and this baby is going down. We have really lost our moral voice. Tragic.

  4. Must be a Neo priest

No, Anonymous at 11:08 PM, this is not about a "Neo priest." The actions of Fr. Louis Brouillard predate the establishment of the NeoCatechumenal Way by Kiko Argüello and Carmen Hernandez in 1964.
In August 2016 at the public hearing on Bill 326-33, Mr. Leo Tudela's testimony revealed he had been sexually abused by Fr. Brouillard in 1956.
Although I take strong exception to much about the NCW, I have to be fair and acknowledge that these despicable actions were not done by a presbyter of the NCW. However, it is clear to me that in the case of Anthony Sablan Apuron, the NCW is working overtime to keep him out of sight while they strategize on maintaining their presence in the Archdiocese of Agana.
