THAT'S A LIE. AND IM STILL SAYING IT.

Fight within the church goes back 20 years

Many are probably wondering "What on Earth?" as the fight within the local Catholic Church spills into the streets and onto the pages of newspapers and nightly news. It's a mess by anybody's reckoning. And it's time for an explanation.

  1. Thank you Tim!!. You'll probably get a lot of backlash with kikos extolling the goodness of the NCW. If it's such a good thing, people need to know why their leaders lie and then try to cover up their lies.

  2. I'm glad this is on PDN. More need to know the truth! Thank you, Tim. My prayers are with you and all who are fighting for the truth!

  3. You, sir, are a brave individual. I pray that God continues to strengthen you as our spokesperson. Know that for every nasty threat or insult against you, you have a hundred supporters cheering on you and the TRUE Church.

  4. At the end of this week, the archdiocese will have a catechetical - liturgical conference with the theme of forgiveness. Before we can forgive, there must be acknowledgement of our sins and a plan to get back on track. It's disheartening and dumbfounding that a member of the clergy would suggest a cover up, a lie. And our 'shepherd' would agree.

  5. Tim, is this the KOLG program that you're talking about?

    Archbishop Apuron on KOLG, 41:07

  6. Back in December 2013 in response to Zoltan’s claim that “Tim is desperate to tie The Way to the Archbishop." I recounted how Archbishop Anthony Sablan Apuron — in his own words spoken on the KOLG episode described in this article — had done the tying himself. Zoltan's "brilliant" response to my comment follows:

"Dear Mary Lou, I am sure you don't dwell on a radio program most people has never heard some 8 years ago?! Come on, you can do much better than this. I am for one who has not even been on this beautiful island 8 years ago. I have never heard that was aired and honestly, I don't care. 8 years ago we had the Iraq war going on and people, even politicians, said a whole lot of nonsense at that time. So what is your point?

“Is there really an awful conspiration going on right here in Guam to cover up a radio program that was aired 8 years ago? Don't you think this is an utterly ridiculous statement? Should Catholics in Guam dwell on issue like this in December 2013, when the coming of our Baby Lord is approaching? ;)

“Well, it is your call, dear Mary Lou... "

Well, Zoltan, now you know that even though you had never heard and didn’t care about that KOLG episode, there WAS a “conspiration” to protect the Archbishop who lacked the humility to admit that, in his zeal for “THEE WAY,” he had spoken rashly. The Archbishop condoned the telling of a lie as a cover-up … his first step on that slippery slope which evolved into a series of lies from the 16 July 2013 accusation against Fr. Paul Gofigan to his current claims to quote Archbishop Krebs about not going to the blogs — when there is a recording of Apuron telling the clergy not to go to the blogs. And I’m sure there are many more lies to come. Sadly, the Archbishop doesn’t even seem to realize that he is lying nor does he seem to realize that we know he is lying.

    1. Poor Zoltan. Just because it doesn't matter to him he thinks it shouldn't matter to anybody. Is that what has become of the standards at the University of Guam these days?

But for the record, hundreds if not thousands more would have heard it if the show had been replayed as it was scheduled to do. And tens of thousands more would have heard it had I posted the recording many years ago. There's a reason why I didn't. Like everyone else, I was hoping that the Archbishop would come to his senses on his own. 8 years later, the actions of the Archbishop have seriously proved that hope grossly unfounded.

  7. That is the biggest tragedy of it all. Archbishop Apuron had the opportunity to repent, and still does, but he chose instead to LIE. In the end, all roads of our faith lead to him for guidance and charity, and he has failed miserably. Thank you Tim for that courageous letter.

  8. Is it that difficult for the archbishop to admit that he was wrong?

    1. That's just it. He didn't believe he was wrong. He believed Pope Benedict was wrong, and he effectively said so. His only regret was the consequences from saying so. Thus the need to lie about why the show was pulled.

  9. "every lie is a sin," as st thomas aquinas wrote. remember that the sin of adam and eve came from a lie. a lie that seems small at first may turn out to have catastrophic consequences.

  10. They should all go back to their community and echo this lie with them. If they don't then their community is a farce.

  12. I enjoy how this lady in the comments, instead of responding with a logical argument to your statements, ignores everything you've said and chooses to quote scripture and say the archbishop is being targeted. We'd take her seriously if she had an actual argument. But she responds with irrelevant details.

She says the archbishop is in the company of the saints. I don't remember the holy saints pushing illicit practices onto the Church, OR causing a deep rift in the Catholic Church on Guam... But that's just me.
