DAILY PRAYER IN FRONT OF THE CATHEDRAL

Hafa Adai All,

Teri Untalan is leading the daily prayer at the Cathedral at 5:15pm.  Please sign up with her to bring a group to pray. Please see her message below:

From Teri Untalan:

"We must continue to put on our armor to fight and pray for our Church. Daily prayer service outside the Cathedral is happening Monday to Friday at 5:15 pm. Do you have a prayer group willing to take on one day during the week to lead the rosary and any other prayers you wish to pray?

Our constant presence will be a sign that we Catholics mean business. Get your group of two or more and let us storm heaven at the front of the Cathedral Basilica. One day a week. Is that too much to ask in support of our Mother Church on Guam?"

  1. Why pray outside? Shouldn't we go into the church and kneel... rather than stand outside the Church to be seen?

    1. Yes, you'd like us to hide, wouldn't you.

  2. Isn't it funny and sad at the same time that when it's beneficial for their (ncw) argument, the physical Church becomes valuable and important -- "Why pray outside ... go into the Church and kneel;" but then, it's ok for them to hold The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in a hotel.

I ask the ncw: why go to a hotel to celebrate the Sacred and Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, shouldn't we go into the Church, the House of God to worship Him?

Anonymous (April 21, 2015 at 6:53 PM), it is my understanding that NCW members do not believe that the Mass is a Holy Sacrifice but rather a Eucharistic Celebration, which is why they prefer to refer to their ordained individuals as presbyters instead of Priests.

The comment which included the suggestion to kneel by Anonymous (April 21, 2015 at 3:09 PM), if made by a member of the NCW, is simply a mockery since they refuse to kneel during their pseudo-liturgies.

  3. Many times I ask myself, "What can I do to help fight off this evil in our church?" I am not an educated person, especially (sad to say) about my own Catholic faith that I can debate with anyone who has the wrong ideas about it, nor am I a good speaker (my English is just passable). In fact, I envy the writers who so eloquently express their opinions in this blog.
And if physical effort is required, I cannot volunteer because of my health condition. As for financial help, sorry, but I am not in any condition to help in that regard, either.

So, JUST WHAT CAN I DO?

I can pray. That's what I can do. And pray I shall. Teri, I will join you in front of the Cathedral when I can. and when I cannot, I will pray at 5:15 - 5:30 whereever I am, whenever I can. THAT I CAN DO!! So, that I can promise.

Thank you for taking the lead, Teri. May God bless you and your family.

  4. I, too, am not educated person, but I was taught by my parents about the true teachings of Our Very Own Church and to follow God's Commandments. Teri, please continue your work as a follower of God. Although I'm an elderly person and I cannot make it to Cathedral, but I will continue to pray for you and all our followers of God.
