In 2014 Tim posted an article on a one year moratorium imposed by Archbishop Villegas of the Archdiocese of Ligayen-Dagupan. Abp Villegas spelled out the terms on that moratorium. My memory is that the moratorium was intended for one year 2010-2011 and when Abp Villegas revisted the situation at the one year mark, he found the some areas of the terms he cited to have not insufficiently met the measured improvements he wished to see so he continued the moratorium for an additional year, 2011-2012. Why are we wasting any time trying to justify the existence of this cult? This blog along with contributions from many who have intimate knowledge of this sect, having been members in the NCW themselves, have already detailed that this is a heretical sect, with very questionable doctrines on their belief of Jesus true presence in the Holy Eucharist, its sacrificial nature, the Divinity of Christ and the Holy Trinity. These doctrines are only the most important and fundamental tenets of our Christian Faith. We have also seen first hand on our little island that this sect is divisive in nature, Similar divisions in the church are also experienced by the testimony of Bishops in Japan, and the Holy Land. This cult practices exclusive membership to a select few who see themselves as the elect while everyone else outside their cult are lost, they do not conform to the approved liturgical books of the church, their allegiance is not to Pope Francis, but to Pope Kiko, We have seen that they defy authority of the church, but are only obedient to the NCW leaders, Their theology is protestant, having stark similarities to Lutheran doctrine. The RMS factory is a scam forming ill prepared, heretically indoctrinated presbyters. We should not allow this cult to exist in the Church, error and the truth cannot co-exist, Get rid of the NCW. Boot them all out...
I agree with you. After mulling over this issue, forget the moratorium and go directly to ending the NCW’s existence in the Archdiocese of Agana. First, as you mentioned, they have heretical teachings and practices which are not Catholic. Second, I’m thinking more in terms the law. First, the NCW’s way of handling their financial donations as explained by Lapaz is, in plain language, money laundering; which, in plain language, is criminal. Second, their “formation” program includes the elements of mind control or brainwashing. Just see how fanatically fervent JTT-the-Trained Lawyer, Ric Eusabio, and Diana-the-Ding-Bat act and sound in defense of everything they and/or the NCW do that are just plain wrong (and illegal) !!!. As far as they are concerned, they are simply being “normal” while it is obvious to the rest of us that that they are not-all-there. They look normal, until you start listening to the things they say. Then you figure out they deep in having been brainwashed. I believe Abp Apuron was/is operating under the same controlled mind. Because of the powerful position he held in the Archdiocese while functioning under this brainwashed mode, add to that his, as Frenchie wrote, his megalomaniac personality, he has caused extreme damage to the Archdiocese.
The NCW operates as a formation program of the Guam’s Catholic Church. It exists equivalent to a parish youth group or a pre-cana program. The difference is that church programs don’t have their own liturgy, nor do they engage in regular donation/collection of cash, bequests, and other assets handled by Reponsibles and Catechists. The NCW’s worship, services, and fellowship take place inside our Catholic churches. Those gatherings are basically opportunities for drilling down on their practice of mind control. Why are these harmful and illicit activities allowed to take place within the Catholic Church on Guam (and literally within its churches)? The relationship of the NCW to the local Church is parasitic, with the Church being the host and the NCW the parasite. The NCW provides zero value to the local Church. It is, instead, a source of liability. By their continued existence in the local Church, the local Church is providing to them the premise to engage in their criminal money laundering activities and a literal space/place to conduct their mind control activities. Protective care of the Church requires that the NCW gets booted out. The local Church will not get back to good health until the NCW is removed from existence.
