If I may, I'd like to draw your attention to another fight for justice that my daughter, Dana Rohr, has taken up. In a way, her fight is many times more difficult than ours since she is engaging a legal system she knows nothing about. Dana started only with a desire to right a wrong she believed her friend, Quinton Bezon, had suffered.
The accused - and now convicted and sentenced - young man makes no excuse for the behavior that put him in the compromising situation, and is making the most of his case to warn others not to make the same mistake.
However, Bezon maintains that he did not do what he is now sentenced to prison for as well as being forced to register as a Level 1 Sex Offender for the rest of his life.
Not having any other means to correct what she believes in an injustice, Dana started a blog. Within a few weeks, her blog has already received over 40,000 views, has raised nearly $4,000, and in a separate effort, has gathered nearly 1,000 supporters for a petition to be delivered to Governor Eddie Calvo asking for a retrial.

Additionally, the senior senator from Ohio, Quinton's home, has contacted Quinton's family and put them in touch with the congressman from their district; and per Quinton's family, is standing ready to help.
While JungleWatch will not be engaging this fight, I can't help but want to laud my daughter's efforts to do something she believes is right, regardless of the cost, and with nothing more than a passion for truth and justice...and a blog. Maybe it's because it reminds me of something. :)
BTW, this is my same daughter who Diana tried to trash on her blog in August 2014.

This case does not belong here. The archdiocese is not responsible for your daughter's association with a drunken sailor. The local Church is facing an infinitely worse situation.
ReplyDeleteLOL. This blog does not belong to the archdiocese nor was it started to comment on the archdiocese. It belongs to me to comment on whatever the hell I want to say. So go ___ yourself.
DeleteThat's true tim. This is your site and you are free to post anything on here. Don't let these neomonkeys intimidate you.
DeleteIt is sad that the sailor is in that predicament when his DNA wasn't even on the victim. That should've been reasonable doubt in any jurors mind. Plus the victims wife had allowed her to go out and get so plastered she threw up several times. This sailor did ask her if she wanted to have sex but when she said no, he quickly clothed himself. Maybe she felt rejected. Hell idk but the biggest evidence is that his DNA was never on the victim. I think he deserves to have his case retried. Good luck however with this AG.
Actually, it was "no evidence of bodily fluids." But the big issue is that the jury fell asleep. SMH
DeleteYes I read that part too about the jury falling asleep during the trial. Which is really an injustice to a fair trial. The fact that there was no evidence of bodily fluids is enough to create reasonable doubt. I think that jury got the verdict wrong and I hope this sailor does appeal his conviction. I also pray that the court grants him a new trial and makes sure the jury actually stays awake. If I was a defense attorney, I would've brought up a mistrial because of some of the jury sleeping. But idk how the judge allowed that to happen. I also think that the sailors lawyer was weak in defending his client. It does suck that the navy didn't do anything to help defend this sailor.
DeleteBBBBlockely. Not your blog. Get your own. Should be interesting.
DeleteDana's courage is inspiring. I'm sure that young man's family is grateful for her friendship and support of their son. It's something I pray for always, that my children will be surrounded by friends who will help them become better people. Law school?
ReplyDelete😊 Thanks, Jeni. But probably more like Hollywood model 😎
DeleteThe pathetic little turd from San Francisco just can't stay away. LOL.
