URGENT COMMENT

Anonymous March 23, 2014 at 7:25 AM Parishioners of Santa Barbara were asked to stay seated while the AAA DVD was shown. Although some walked out, the rest of us sat through and listened to the garbling, waiting for Father's final blessing. The Archbishop mentions in this DVD that the money is going to go towards formation of priests. There are people in Dededo who think this means Aaron Quitugua. This is not true! If you are not sure, ask Aaron's family members. According to his mom, the Archbishop has not given Aaron sponsorship. People of Dededo, you are being misled to believe your contribution is going towards Aaron. It's going to the needs of the Neo.

  1. Tim, if the video was shown in lieu of the parish announcements, it would have been done before the "Ite Missa est."

  3. At the Cathedral, we didn't have a sneak preview of the video. During the announcement, we were told that we could go the to archdiocese website to view the message about the AAA if we wanted more information about it.

I guess the pastor of Santa Barbara is doing everything in his power not to be deported. Being a huge village composed of primarily Filipino parishioners who are very devoted Catholics, this is probably one way of bringing in the funds for AAA.

  4. Hi this is Jes from Chalan Pago. as i was passing by a group of people eating lunch, i over heard a comment made that Tim is out to destroy the Catholic Church on Guam. I was tempted to stop and demand an explanation, but I let it drop for the simple reason the commentator was an ardent supporter of the Archbishop, and I don't believe in the comment, for Tim has not say or posted anything but the truth of what is happening on our island. I will support Tim and Father Paul, for from the very begining what was posted was about the firing of Father Paul, until the neokittens started their barrages of misinformation. The Catholic Church on Guam that I grew up in and will prevail over any take over by the protestant prototype sect. I believe in this, and Iput my trust and hope in the faith I was baptised into back in 1938-39.

    4. The Archbishop thinks that he is only surrounded by only those who agree with his tactics. He should know better that most are align with what is righteous for the Church. Especially from those closely observing from within.
Gini, let go of the hangups and hate occupying your heart. This is not about Jungle Watch or Tim. It's about our Church on Guam and her leadership. In this case, the lack of.
If your personal vendettas cloud your judgment and dominate your tongue, it would be to your better benefit to sit this one out for if the Archbishop continues on this path, he and his followers may experience a more arduous and painful closure.

  5. Hey Mr. "nuthugger"! This post is about Apuron misleading the people so he can collect money for Kiko. Instead of sticking to the issue, these Neos get defensive and resort to their typical name-calling. Obviously Tim has exposed so much truth about the wrongdoings of Apuron, that the "nuthuggers" are worried. If Apuron was truthful and shepherded the flock of Guam the way he is supposed to, we may not have all these problems and division in our local Church. Open your eyes and don't allow Tony, Adrian, David and Pius to rip you off and then laugh about it. Apuron was obviously reading a script when he shot his commercial for the Way. When a shepherd can't look the sheep in the eye he's obviously lying to them and leading them astray.

  6. Hi Gino, Pride was the down-fall of Hitler, he never did want to admit his short coming, and his advisers were too intimidated to point out his mistakes in leading the German nation, not unlike our Catholic situation on Guam, the advisers are too proud to point out the mistakes the leader is making for they want that promotion. Pride is one of the deadly sins. Think about that.... Jes of Chalan Pago.

  7. When I moved to Guam several years back I was really excited to experience life in a Catholic community. I had always lived on the East Cost among a largely secular population. On Guam, I expected an abundance of great and caring priests, reverent liturgies, a Christian Catholic culture, etc. I was really shocked and disappointed by what I encountered. It began with my attendance at Mass at the Cathedral. I could never hear the homilies because the audio was broken. This continued week after week. I wondered: does anyone even care that the homily was in audible. Also, as l looked around the congregation, I couldn't help but notice that many were using the homily as an opportunity to do a little reading! After a year or two, the audio was fixed. But after hearing the homilies -- usually, long rambling nonsensical psychobabble -- I was hoping for another malfunction in the audio. I shopped from parish to parish for a better Mass. Some were better, but as a whole I was disappointed by overall low quality: low reverence, bad homilies and lack of seriousness of the Masses. I didn't understand why all of the Masses incorporated Jazz and R&B music and dancing and hand clapping. Frankly, I found it not just embarrassing but totally inconsistent the idea behind the Supper of the Lamb. Aside from the Mass, I was disappointed by the culture. It seemed liked I could not go more than 500 yards with encountering a massage parlor; and every other man I met recommended that I go to the Philippines to have sex with bar girls. And rather than joy, I found vice and pleasure operating as a thin veneer covering over despondence. I could go on and on about what I found disappointing with the Mass and Catholic culture on Guam. This is not my point. Instead, I have these two points. First, as bad as the Church is now I also discovered many signs -- old photos, historical records and discussions with Manumko -- that the Church on Guam was once a source of great good and the population, by and large, quite devout. Second, on account of this I began to wonder whether the decline of the Church had anything to do with the leadership of the Archbishop. Indeed, I noticed that people who recognized and acknowledged the decline of Catholicism on Guam would often say that the decline started in the 80s, i.e., at about the time the Archbishop Apuron was installed. So, I began asking people whether they thought the Archbishop was at all responsible for the decline of the Church. Some people thought so, others were not really aware of the decline and then there was a smaller group that adamantly defended the Archbishop. Years later, I now know about the NCW and have discovered that all of those who adamantly defended the Archbishop were -- surprise, surprise - Neos.

So, the Neos know where their bread is buttered. Do not expect any honest assessment from them about the Archbishop or the source of the Church's decline on Guam.

  8. How do you know the monies go to Kiko? Is it because it goes towards the seminary in yona

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Regardless of where the money goes, there still needs to be accountability. Plus the reasons given by those who on the AAA video were not so convincing. Father Luis talked about making life easier as a seminarian with air conditioning. I too, need to make life more comfortable for my children by replacing my beat up air conditioners. Father Michael only talked about confession and not the actual role of a priest.

I bet the jacking up of the AAA for each parish is to cover the cost from previous years. Let's just see what will, happen of the goal is not met.

If you are so concerned about the welfare of the seminarians, adopt one and pay for his expenses. You can borrow from the bank the way we all do to send our children to Catholic Schools and Catholic Colleges.

  9. The archbishop has told people that Tim Rohr is not only out to destroy the church on Guam, but that he is the face of Satan on Guam today. But we defend mr Rohr because we also believe the archbishop is not leading this archdiocese according to the teachings of the church.

  10. Fr. Adrian who is a high ranking church authority on Guam shared with people that mr Tim Rohr was once on salary of the archdiocese of Agana amounting to over 130,000 USD a year. This is the reason why he left archbishop could not pay the high salary. Fr Adrian was responsible for asking mr Tim Rohr to leave. This is why he wants to destroy church on Guam. That's what fr. Adrian reports on Guam.

    3. Hahaha! now that's not only funny but someone has gone INSANE. 'If' indeed he said this then for sure we know he has lost his marbles, of course you need more evidence than just this post.

Who here remembers SNAPP...ooh i can already hear those knee bones rattling all over Guam.
Tim, do you ever wonder what will happen to the archbishop, his cohorts and some priests on Guam if you had not stuck your life out for them? Could you image if BJ Cruz was successful with his Bill, because I sure don't remember ANYONE from NEO who stuck their neck out for the Catholic Church, ONLY ONE BRAVE SOUL NAMED TIM ROHR "WALKED" AND TALKED FOR THE CHURCH.

Think! was SNAPP and BJ Cruz taking the church to court or trying to pass legislation because Tim Rohr was trying to destroy the church or is it really the other way around; as someone posted earlier a saying of St. John Chrysostom; "the road to HELL is paved with the skulls of priest and bishops, with the bishops heads as the post.."

I think we have a good idea who's trying to destroy our Catholic Church!

  11. I am walking. The archbishop is walking. He teaches anyone who writes on this blog or reads it, is in a state of serious mortal sin and needs to go confession prior to receiving the bread at mass. So you guys better shut up about the archbishop or your head will roll. Got it.

    2. Anonymous (March 23, 2014 at 11:52 PM): Since both you and the Archbishop are walking, I'm guessing that you believe his teaching that "anyone who writes on this blog or reads it, is in a state of serious mortal sin." If you really believe what the Archbishop teaches, why did you post a comment?

It appears as though you have put your soul in jeopardy since the things necessary to make a sin mortal are present:
      (1) The thought, desire, word, action, or omission must be seriously wrong or considered seriously wrong: Per your comment, the Archbishop, with whom you are walking and whose words you believe, has deemed that reading and writing on this blog places a person in the state of mortal sin;
      (2) The sinner must be mindful of the serious wrong: Since you posted the "teaching" in your comment, you are clearly aware that your Brother Tony stated that your act of writing and posting on this blog is grievously sinful and you still did it; and
      (3) The sinner must fully consent to it: By virtue of the fact that your comment is present, it is obvious that you freely CHOSE to do the evil of writing on this blog, despite the admonition from your Brother Tony. You were free not to post, but you DELIBERATELY CONSENTED to do so.

Inasmuch as I am just a "Regular" Catholic — a NON-NeoCat — I am not bound by the Archbishop's "teaching" in this matter and am able to read and write comments since the Magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church has not categorized activity on this blog as sinful.

But you, Anonymous @ 11:52 PM, are in an entirely different different — and dangerous! — situation. I truly hope that you will go to confession as soon as possible since, as your Brother Tony has taught, by posting your comment, you are now in a "state of serious mortal sin" and your soul is in jeopardy.

      Anon at 11:52 -
2 important things for you to consider:
1.) this blog is for serious discussion of serious problems. If the Archbishop really said that anyone who participates in Jungle Watch is guilty of serious sin, then he himself is guilty of misleading the faithful. How can a comment about problems be considered sinful? If we can get away from name calling and stay on-target there could actually be some good generated from an open and honest discussion. Since you walk with the Archbishop, it would be most appropriate that you ask him why he doesn't address the questions raised on this site that both you and I follow. As the leader of our spiritual community, doesn't he have a responsibility to clarify issues, and not try to squash them by declaring the blog sinful?
2.) your catechesis shows you need to be re-formed. What I receive at mass is NOT BREAD. When I go to communion at my parish I receive the actual body of Christ. You may also want to ask the Archbishop why he refuses to serve you Jesus and only gives you mere bread and wine.
Come to my Church and enjoy all the beauty that Jesus wants to share with His followers.

    1. Okay brother Ron, so have some respect and quit dancing after mass in the Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament. Exposed or not exposed have some reverence.

Wrote about this on Diana's blog and she sure is full of excuses. The ark of the covenant is not the same as the Blessed sacrament. The Ark of the covenant that King David dance around is the book of the Old Testament. The Blessed Sacrament is Christ himself.
Even in Rome there must be absolute silence in the Chapel of the Blessed sacrament.

To the person who wrote about mortal sin, you need to confess too because you are committing mortal sin by reading the blog as well as those who, posted.

BTW Brother Ron, I have not lost sight of my Baptism or my Catholic Faith. I am just not a fanatic like you!

I guess starting now members of the NCW can start saving their pennies to support the Gala. Remember it's a formal attire so more money to save for the rental of formal attire.

It's time for the members to show their NCW spirit and support the cause! Whip out the money guys and support the education, room and board, and the mortgage payment. I count my blessing for this Gala, it saves me money!
