NOTE TO DEACON HAROLD

Janet B - Mangilao has left a new comment on your post "A MAN NOT AFRAID TO PUT HIS NAME TO HIS POSITION":

Thank you Anon May 29, @9:11AM - you certainly are filled with anger. And since english is obviously your second language I will assume you are either an angry priest or seminarian. But since your anger seems so intense, it is a good bet that you have recently been maligned for certain statements made which were critical of you. I think I have a pretty good idea of who you are.

I love your comment about the Filipino contract priest. IF your story is true then you certainly had a responsibility to help him out, especially since you saw this repeatedly. In Mt 25 didn't Jesus send to the eternal fire the "goats" who neglected to help those who were in need? "What you failed to do to the least of my brothers you failed to do to me."

By the way, most of us from here would just refer to him as Pale or Father, but if you insist on making a distinction you could refer to him as a Filipino "guest" priest. You would not want me to refer to you as a Columbian contract deacon, would you Deacon Harold?

Sad to say, Deacon Harold, you just showed your colors again. You look at a person and label them for what they look like and where they come from. Your disdain for Guam is showing. We Chamorros look at a person and judge them by their hearts and by their action. That is why Guam is one of the most hospitable places on God's green earth...we are welcoming to all who come in good faith.

Therein lies the big divide, we welcome and we love and we accept. But you, and others like you, judge on artificial and superficial scales. If we do not join your "Way" then there is something wrong with us. Guam was very accepting of the Way, just like we were to El Shaddai, the Cursillo, Couples for Christ, Basic Ecclesial Communities, etc.

But we now see the kikos for who they really are. They come on a conquest. They were assured by Fr Pius that there would be no resistance. And if there is resistance, they have a top general in their pocket, Archbishop Apuron, who will put down any uprising. That is why in my meaner days I refered to our dear Archbishop as Benedict Apuron, who acts like Benedict Arnold of the Revolutionary War, betraying his own people.

But now, Deacon Harold, you see that we are not going to lay still and let you roll over us. You could accept our culture and our traditions, and learn to live with those. But true conquistadors accede to anything, they capture and mold.

Deacon Harold, and all other kikos out there in the blog-o-sphere, listen to these words carefully...we will not go quiet into that good night. We will resist to the very core of our being to trade in our authentic Catholic beliefs for you kiko teachings.

If you do not want to listen to me, then listen to the Pope of the Church you once belonged to. After that dreadful ranting Pope Francis got on Feb 1 from a crazed kiko, he very pastorally reminded the "Way" to inculturate and accept local traditions within the areas you go. He also said that parish unity is more important than specific and particular Neo practices.

So, Deacon Harold, soon you will be a contract priest here on Guam, facing all the struggles that all priests must face. If you fall, I certainly hope whoever sees you stumble will treat you more Christ-like than you treated that priest you described struggling with life.

So much more to say, but that should do for now. Shouldn't you get back to class so you can graduate Summa Cum Laude like all the other good seminarians? I don't want the jungle to be used as the reason you are the first seminarian to graduate from that fine, august institute without honors. So be a good boy and run along.

God help him, and God help you.

  1. Is it right to assume Deacon Harold was the one who said this about the preist?

  2. Wow, are they all that intelligent that they graduate Magna Cum Laude and Summa Cum Laude? Yet, the do not have the brains to prepare so that their homily makes sense that I cannot help but walk out of the church saying "what was his sermon all about?"

To be explicit about the ethnicity of a person shows that one is a racists. Maybe jealousy burns in your heart because even if this priest were a drunk, I bet he can still give one hell of a sermon.

I just wonder what you would do or say if youngest a parish to,control and your congregation is made up of Filipinos, Chuukese and very little islanders!

Maybe you should ask to relocate to a place where you will fit in. I am a Filipina, born a raised here. Although I do not speak the Tagalog language I hold my heritage and my bloodline with PRIDE!

    You are very unchristian like!

    1. Not oops at all. I purposely posted it this way to make a point. Since everyone here for the most part prefers to stay anonymous then there is never any way to prove or disprove anyone's identity. So we get to guess all we want. Because your side is the power side, because your side can actually hurt people, our side has reason to hide. But yours doesn't have a reason to hide. But because you do we get to label and name you anyway we want.

The other reason I did it this way is to demonstrate to the Archbishop the cost of his silence, not just his silence to what is going on on this blog, but the cost of his 30 years of silence. He has been able to destroy people for three decades without consequence. Now there is consequence. And it will get worse. I will see to it.

    3. This is an illusion of power you sit in the middle of... Jungle bloodshed. But in fact neither sides have power as all power belongs to the Lamb.

You vilify people at you wish while you point fingers on others. You are really a peace of art, man. I can imagine reconciliation between Fr Paul and the Archbishop at any time. But the damage you inflict on yourself and on your little colony every day on this blog will make it very hard to reconcile yourself with your sisters and brothers in the Way. You spare no time day or night to demonize people and perpetuate animosity inside the Catholic faithful based on your perceived grievances. But these grievances are not real. Nobody ever will be convinced by your flagrant disregard for facts and disrespect for authorities. You are still liable for every little dirty comments that comes out on this blog with your approval.

Why don't you take responsibility for your act once for a change?

    6. Tim , things will get worse for the Archbishop because one thing your blog has done, is to empower those that have been destroyed in the 30 year reign of hell of this archbishop.

    7. Seriously, this deacon Harold is clearly not ready for ordination to the priesthood. If he was in St. Patricks seminary an extended pastoral placement would be in order for his further evaluation for priesthood. Sincerely hope the archbishop will talk to this guy and take the necessary action to delay the ordination.

Don't count on any delays in the ordination of deacon Harold or any other seminarian. The dear Archbishop has a strict quota from the kikoarchy to add more kiko-priests. Qualified or not, he will meet this quota. No certified psychological exam for fitness, no background check from the country they came from, just pass them through the seminary mill.
This is not to say that all of them are unqualified to eventually become priests.

But boy have there been some wrecks. Fr Fabio definitely had some issues. Outright unstable was Fr Edwin in Agafa Gumas. Both have now been shipped overseas, but I worry about the people they will be serving there. It is almost like previous scandals where priests with problems were shipped elsewhere, only to become someone else's problem. A reasonable person would think that the bishops learned a lesson from all of that!

We know the history of these priests actions here, so we are aware of their potential elsewhere. BUT, do we know the history of those shipped to us from some other place? Other than these men come from kikod-munities, we don't know anything about them, and neither does the Chancery or the seminary.

This is actually quite frightening when you think about it. Since there are no real standards for who gets sent here, that seems to pose quite a risk. What was mentioned on this site a while back, and no one from the seminary or Chancery corrected it (and we certainly know they visit your site very often) no trained professional does a psychological exam, which is required everywhere else.

Just another example of an overzealous desire to meet kiko goals, putting the rest of us at potential risk. Funny, isn't it, that this is exactly what our dear Archbishop Apuron accused Fr Paul of doing. I wonder if the Archbishop will face a more arduous and painful conclusion to his ministry?

    9. Remember that Kiko said that they seek out the least brethren and those farthest away. Yes, they may be exposing people to potential risk if these candidates are not screened. Wow what a deal for those trying to escape their past; they get a free ride after completing a half baked Kiko boot camp.

    10. Thank you Janet very good point. Bishops accountability is an excellent web page that does international back ground checks on priests. Your country Guam already has a listing on this page. Given the priests factory now operating in your country we will begin back ground checks on all these priests.

    ATTENTION ALL CATHOLICS ON GUAM!
I was shocked at the feelings expressed by Deacon Harold lately. First, he thinks Jesus came to Guam when his seminary arrived in 1999. Then he refers to some of our beloved priests as Filipino contract priests. Well, I just learned that he is not the only insensitive wanna-be priest we have in our ranks.

I was wondering when the funeral for a dear friend, Debbie Babauta, was going to be. I was told on June 7 at Noon at Mt Carmel in Agat. Puzzled, I asked why Agat when the nightly masses and rosaries are being offered in the Agana Cathedral. The pastor of Mt Carmel, Fr Alberto formerly of Barrigada, has decided that our traditions are worthless and no longer necessary in the new Neo church. Like me, your blood is probably starting to boil at this very moment.

The family wanted nightly masses and rosaries in Agat, but that didn’t fit nicely with the current mass schedule. All masses are in the morning except Monday at 7PM and Saturday at 6PM. If they wanted masses in Agat, the family would have to follow that schedule, and Fr Alberto would not allow a nightly mass and rosary. Maybe Fr Alberto forgot to listen to what Pope Francis said in February about NCW priests being sensitive to local culture and traditions. Or worse yet, he heard but refuses to bend his schedule to accommodate a family dealing with grief of death. Oh, and my friend told me that Fr Alberto only celebrates funeral masses at 12 Noon. We have all been to funerals where so many people want to pay their respect to the deceased and their family that a mass at Noon is impossible. But Fr Alberto doesn’t care about that.

Apparently, this was the same attitude in Barrigada while he was pastor there. Because Barrigada is the fire-pit of the NCW it was maybe accepted a little more, but I know of several families who left to go to another parish because of Fr Alberto’s strict “no tradition but my tradition” policy. Ai adai to you Fr Alberto! I don’t think it will be any better under Fr Adrian, most likely even worse.

Many of my friends have questioned me why I am so harsh and mean to the Archbishop and the kikos. I am trying to be nicer, but everytime I try, another example comes along that reminds me that I need to fight more than I need to be compassionate towards these people.

For all Catholics on Guam who love our beautiful traditions, Fr Alberto is only a small sample of what we have to look forward to when our entire diocese becomes kiko-fied. Look at the Barrigada Church and their practices. Look at Agat and the new “Way” and the St. Anna Chapel. I hope when I die my parish has a real and Catholic priest who is pastoral, understanding, and embraces the traditions of the people.

    1. I work with a family member of Debbie, and this person was lost for words when I asked why she said that they "couldn't" have the rosaries in Agat.

  5. Kiko created the Redemptoris Mater seminaries to have their clergy fashioned in his image and likeness. It should not be a surprise that the deacon brings this elitist european world view. imagine his contempt for us, we simple islanders.

  6. Fr. Alberto is now making everyone come to Jesus for Holy Communion at mass. The Eucharistic Ministers use to go to choir loft and give communion to the choir members. Now the choir go to the Eucharist Ministers. No communion given in the middle isle of the church during mass either. While the neos receive the host sitting down, we have to go up to Jesus to receive him. Its a good thing but different in comparison to how they received the host at the Saturday celebrations.

    1. Is this the same Fr. Alberto that left his Agat Parish to be with his Neo family in the Canary Islands during Holy Week? If yes, I am not surprised. I mean, what could be more than important than his Neo family? Nothing.

  8. This is regarding Debbie. I didn't know her, but I knew the family. I never spoke to her, but I remembered her face when I heard that voice fill the church when she sang a capella during midnight Mass and Easter Vigil Mass at Mt. Carmel decades ago. During Archbishop's 9:30 a.m. Mass this past Sunday he said he was the parish priest at Mt. Carmel when he first met Debbie. Debbie followed the Archbishop to the Cathedral when he became rector there. She joined the 9:30 a.m Choir at the Cathedral-Basilica, and is loved by her fellow choir members who are seen attending and singing for Debbie's Masses at the St. Therese Chapel in the Cathedral-Basilica. It is my understanding she wanted Masses and not Rosaries said for her. So what if the Masses are not held at Mt. Carmel. So many more people are able to attend and give their condolences to Debbie's family during the weekday at Agana. Her reach was far and touched so many lives outside her village.
