....after some parishes had already picked up their weekly copies of the U Matuna this past Friday, the Chancery suddenly gave the order to confiscate and destroy all 8000 or so copies? And then had to print a whole different edition?
The Pacific Daily News (which prints the paper) thanks you for the extra business by the way. Nice to know we have that kind of money to throw around. Gotta wonder how many homeless the cost of that extra run could have fed.
Just so you all know. What you read on Sunday was not the original edition. I guess they had second thoughts about the enormity of the lies that not even THEY believed they could get away with.
By the way, Archbishop, did you make a police report about those slashed tires?
Our leaders are not leaders at all. They lie and constantly deny incidents/allegations that have been deemed to be true. So what we have are Priests that Lie to the people. Did they forget about the 10 commandments (#9 shall not bear false witness)? Yes we are all sinners, but these guys need to held to a higher standard or step down before Rome steps in soon!
ReplyDeletedoes anyone have a copy?
ReplyDeleteCan you believe what is this lady Diana is saying in her blog?! "the Way is NOT a movement. I am the one walking in the Way. We have always been saying that we are an itinerary, and it is even written in our approved Statutes that the Way is an itinerary. Because it is written in our approved Statutes, the Vatican recognized the Neocatechumenal Way as an itinerary."....So to tell me that because it is written and approved in your Statutes in the Way that we all must consider walking the way? Who wrote these so called Statutes anyways? I know it wasn't the Vatican!
ReplyDeleteTry talking Emeritus Benedict XVI.
DeleteHere is +Archbishop Charles D. Balvo's email- nunciokenya@nunciokenya.org I wonder what he'd say if he know the trouble Archbishop Apuron was up to? Although Balvo is now assigned to Kenya, I am sure he'd be very interested since he knows the history of this diocese. He is only a handful of American Archbishops and while we are at it let's write to Philippine Nuncio- +Archbishop Giuseppe Pinto at nuntiusp@info.com.ph and let him know of the mistreatment of the Philippines priests by Archbishop Apuron.
ReplyDeleteIf you can get a copy you will know why they ran to confiscate them. More slanderous remarks about Monsignor James. Are they worried they are letting themselves open for a lawsuit?
ReplyDeleteJust asking.
Can you please post the original paper?
ReplyDeleteI'll try and find out. Maybe they published the financial statement and realized that it had some "inappropriate accounting." It's hard to anticipate misinformation coming out from the hill. So, whose tires got slashed?
ReplyDeleteDon't know if previous comment went through about our famous problems here on Guam being published in the Catholic News New Zealand and the Pacific. Guess the Nuncio can read things for himself.
ReplyDeleteWith some parishes picking up their UMATUNA on Friday, it must have gotten out of the Chancery. Chances are some parishioners have a copy! That copy would be a "gem" to possess, if only to compare and find out why the original was pulled out! It has got to be for a grave reason. One finds it hard to believe that the pullout was for something trivial - INTERESTING!! Remember Christ's words: "There is nothing hidden that will be NOT be revealed." Stay tuned, folks.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see the copy as well. This is pretty damaging stuff. I'm assuming the Archbishop Tony is the Publisher? Who's the Editor? Who's the Press Chief working with PDN or Marianas Variety in order to print the newspaper? Someone better think hard about that witness stand. "Being persecuted" isn't going to be the answer the judge will be looking for.
ReplyDeleteOuch.

Parishioners from Agat, Ordot, and Tumon - I know you've got some copies. I'm willing to buy some.
ReplyDeleteHey Tim, would you mind devoting a blog post to explain to our Neo brethren the difference between "blessing" and "approval"? Apparently, they believe the blessings of five Popes means everything they do is acceptable and okay with Rome, when it is actually not. Please clarify with them. I'm tired of hearing, "Oh, but the Way has been blessed by five Popes!" Well, great! Many other organizations have been "blessed" by five Popes or more. It doesn't mean they go off doing whatever they want. I'm not trying to be mean, but another way to put is like this - the Pope sometimes blesses animals, such as pets. It doesn't mean he is giving way for them to receive the Sacraments and what not. Please don't confuse the terms "blessing" and "approval." They are two separate acts. Please don't take this the wrong way. I am not putting down the Way. In fact, if it has helped you find Jesus - AMEN! BUT, if you love Jesus, you love His Bride, the Church. The Church, under the guidance of the Magisterium, led by the Pope, deems what is right and accepted. Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, through Cardinal Francis Arinze, gave the Way orders to follow. So please follow. We wouldn't have all these problems if you just listen. By the way, be nice and sensitive to our people and our culture, whom the Way does not appeal to. Pope Francis even told you all recently to respect the local bishop and customs of the place you serve. You are doing more than good on the first part. Friendly word of advice, you need to work on the second. The Holy Spirit, no doubt has initiated the Way to bring people back to the Church. But some members within the Way are taking things a bit too far and probably even deviating from the Spirit's actions.
ReplyDeleteI have something going into the PDN soon.
DeleteI was able to get a copy of the ORIGINAL Unmatuna before they all got confiscated. There is a full page section about the false financial statements made by Archbishop based off Deloitte & Touche continuing from last week. I'll send a picture of it when i get the chance.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you brought this up. The D & T letter and the Archbishop's statement about the firing of Msgr. James was a repeat of what was in the U Matuna last week. Didn't it strike you as odd that it would be in there AGAIN even after it was so clearly rebutted by three financial professionals? It should have. The reason it was in there is because it was to function as an attachment to the story that was the reason for the first printing being pulled. In their haste, they pulled the main story but to forgot to delete the attachment. Like a thief losing his shoe on in a hurry to escape the bank he just robbed. Now we just have to match the shoe to the robber. And we will.
DeleteTo the Publisher/Editor of the UMATUNA. A simple "true or false" question, please! We are curious!
ReplyDeleteWhy was the first batch of the Umatuna recalled this past Friday afternoon, and another version issued for Sunday? Gerald Taitano speculated that it might be because "they published the financial statement and then realised that it had some 'inappropriate accounting'; and Anon at 8:10AM today stated he "has a copy (of the UMATUNA) and that there is a full page section about the false financial statements made by Archbishop based off Deloitte & Touche continuing from last week. I'll send a picture of it when i get the chance." TRUE or FALSE?? I think the Catholics of Guam deserve an HONEST answer - and it is a simple one: YES or NO; true or false. No "beating around the bush, please; just answer the question!"
It is best we hear it DIRECTLY FROM THE HORSE'S MOUTH (that's an allegorical statement, by the way, lest you think it's an insult!). It's like children asking their dad - Hey, dad; is that true? Well? Are we going to get an answer, or shall we wait until hell freezes over (another allegorical statement)?
OR DO YOU THINK WE HAVE NO RIGHT TO ASK? Remember: we are your sheep entrusted to you by your episcopal ordination, and you are suppose to be our Shepherd. Or shall we look for another??
PS: And while we're at it --- why were "blackouts" made in the revised version - the letter from Deloitte. Something we're not suppose to know? None of our business? Out of respect for the person - if so, GOOD! Incriminatory? At least just answer the "yes/no" question!
Nice try... Anonymous August 12, 2014 at 5:32 PM asks, "To the Publisher/Editor of the UMATUNA. A simple "true or false" question, please! We are curious! Why...?"
ReplyDeleteSilly rabbit. Trix are for kikos. You will never get a straight answer from a kiko, or someone who owes their living and income from the Archbishop.
Hint - if we ever get a response from head kikos, or some one financially bound to them, look out because you were just assaulted by yet another lie.
OH MY GOSH! EVEN THE UMATUNA IS AN ISSUE FOR TIM?? COME ON ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!! LOL. THIS IS ABSURD,IMMATURE WHININGS. TIM YOU HAVE THROWN A BAD SEED ON THE SOIL. WHO ARE YOU REALLY??
ReplyDeleteIf enough is enough, then go away. Why do you keep coming back? Addicted? One of those who wakes up in the morning sweating wondering what I said now? Don't you have a life? Apparently not. Thanks for the views.
DeleteOh Timmy, GOD LOVES LOVE'S YOU! This is exactly why our mother church is dividing. Consider uprooting your bad soil and planted else where. Ba'sta pa'chmu.
DeleteBTW.. did you feel the earth shake yesterday? Will there a article that is the NCW who did it?? HAHAHAHA!!!!
It is rather satisfying to know that my blog disturbs you enough to keep you glued to it, not to mention using God's name in vain.
Delete9:13 AM, Oi, sa' i frutan NCW! Esta kalan hihihot i mababan babarias gi ekso". Pues siempre bumasta i pachot-mu pumalapa.
DeleteOi, a fruit of the NCW. All the BS going on the hill will be exposed soon. Then your mouth will surely stop flapping!
