JOHN Toves, who recently accused Archbishop Anthony Apuron of molesting his cousin in the 1980s, has called on the archbishop to step down.
In a letter to Apuron, Toves wrote: “Dear Archbishop, I now most respectfully, graciously, humbly and lovingly must beseech you to step down.”

While this allegation that ANTHONY SABLAN APURON SEXUALLY MOLESTED SOMEONE
ReplyDeleteis not yet proven to be true or false, APURON SHOULD STEP DOWN as Archbishop Pell did.
And, if a petition, to be sent to the Papal Nuncio and the Vatican to have APURON STEP DOWN while an investigation is on-going , will be circulated, I will gladly sign my name in BOLD LETTERS!
I don't think it is necessary for the Catholics of Guam to ask Rome to tell Apuron to step down while his case is "under review" by the SARC. Archbishop Pell did it on his own, alluding thereby that he has nothing to hide. Unless, of course....... I think the bigger question is "will the new SARC have the guts to tell Apuron to step down while he does his "review"? Wow!
