KUAM: SUPPORT FOR PALE MIKE

Parishioners from the Toto Catholic Church show support for their Pale Mike Crisostomo, who was summoned by Archbishop Anthony Apuron for a meeting regarding their donation to the Annual Archdiocesan Appeal. The parishioners marched through the Chancery in peaceful prayer as a sign of hope for reconcilation within the Archdiocese.

  2. Admiration and gratitude to all who showed up for the prayer rally. I regret my health issues prevented me from participating, but my spirit and prayers were there with the participants. Be strong in the Faith! In time, we WILL get our Church back! Santa Marian Kamalin, tayuyute ham todos.

  3. I heard Fr. Richard Kidd and Fr. Gus Gumataotao, OFM Cap. also got letters to "appear" before the mighty Apuron to explain and find solutions. Their meetings are tomorrow and Friday. I wonder who else in the clergy got letters?

  4. The Archbishop of Guam will be called to Rome soon. OCEANIA is next in the ad limina vists for the upcoming synod of Bishops At which time the Pope will ask how have you unified your people? These instances of division are outward signs that the Church is divided on Guam. I pray that the other bishops in OCEANIA attest to the grave ills that have affected their working relationships with Guam. It is enough to recognize that people in the Archdiocese of Agaña are hurting and wanting Rome's attention. And still, Rome doesn't do anything to help the People!

  5. My family, who are mostly from Sinajana, will never donate to the to this Charities Appeal. Only to the Capuchin Appeal. Father Gus is one of the best priest. The Archbishop should get some tips from him - humble and respectful.

  6. The Archbishop talked to the people gathered outside the chancery to say that it is just a regular meeting with some priests and nothing was gonna happen that afternoon. Short of telling the people to shut up and go home. Sure, nothing is gonna happen because the people, the Church, gonna make sure with God's grace, that he doesn't do anything not surprising anymore. Oh, how I wish after seeing so many manamkos in the crowd for him to tell them, let's talk after the meeting. No, he thinks he is right and all those against him are wrong. Very unfortunate.

    1. He did say that??? How hypocritical!! His letter of summons said the meeting was for the purpose of discussing (the of failure of) the AAAppeal - and he says to you people that the meeting was just a regular meeting with SOME priests? So why didn't ALL priests get the summons letter?? Why weren't Neo priests given the summons? Did he really expected you folks to believe that?? Did he really think you/we are really that dumb?? O, LORD!!

    2. You forgot to mention, accompanied by Claros. Julius was also there, guess the survey went BONG! " Archbishop, you are the problem "was there, Msgr. Quitugua , the elder.

Don't worry, we got the Archbishop on tape stating he IS NOT REMOVING PÅLE' MIKE. He best stay true to his word.

BTW, there were neo spies at ALL our Masses this past weekend! HOLY CRAP!

In anticipation of this afternoon's We love our Catholic Church Prayer Service, I went to the Adoration Chapel at the Chancery to spend an Hour of Power with Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. I spent the first 10 minutes alone in prayer and eventually several small groups came in to pray so that there were about a dozen of us in silent prayer.

At around 2:35, a short time before the people were expected to gather for the Prayer Service, the chapel door opened and in walked AAA. I was in the middle of prayer when AAA began to speak — unfortunately I did not have the presence of mind to reach into my bag to retrieve my iPhone and record him. He informed us that we were in the Adoration Chapel where he and the staff gather daily for Morning Prayer and that we were welcome to stay and pray. Then AAA told us he was meeting with ALL the priests — not just Fr. Mike — to discuss the AAAppeal and plans for the Jubilee of the Diocese, the Year of Mercy, etc. and that NOTHING WAS GOING TO HAPPEN TO FR. MIKE, unlike what "that blog" said. He said we were welcome to stay and pray but he needed to meet with the priests and NOTHING WILL HAPPEN TO FR. MIKE. He exited the chapel.

I needed to finish my prayers but I could sense there was some uncertainty among some of the people in the chapel. They filed out and I heard someone whisper something about the need to "find out what's happening." Because of my mobility issues I stayed in the chapel until I saw the flag bearers and Fr. Mike flanked by members of the Toto Finance Council walking up the hill toward the Chancery. As I exited the chapel I realized the group was praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet and I joined the line.

The group assembled in front of the Chancery to complete the Chaplet as Fr. Mike and his companions entered the Chancery. Eventually AAA came out to inform us of the purpose of his meeting with all the priests, repeating his reassurance that NOTHING WILL HAPPEN TO FR. MIKE — similar to the speech he made in the chapel — and then AAA blessed the group. Once again, I was unprepared to record his speech BUT since AAA made that statement twice in the same afternoon before a number of witnesses, I think that (1) Fr. Mike Crisostomo might be safe for now AND (2) AAA might be in hot water with Giuseppe Gennarini.

Clearly the presence of the laity in the Chancery parking lot was not a welcome sight to AAA. One of the other participants who was positioned across from AAA as he addressed the group said that he looked angry, even as he blessed the group. I discovered that there were quite a few people from different villages — from Dededo in the north to Inarajan in the south — who came out to support Fr. Mike. I really wanted to wait to see Fr. Mike after the meeting was over to reassure myself that he actually dodged the Annual Priest Removal Bullet, but I had to head home while members of the Toto Parish continued to wait.

Fr. Mike might be safe (for now) and AAA may have to face the music with Gennarini, but we the Church Militant/Laity, must remain vigilant. Thank you, Tim, for keeping us informed via this blog!

  10. The other priests who were called to meet with archbishop, are only being used as a ploy to cover-up what the true intention of archbishop is......and that is, to rid the archdiocese of priests who are potentially dangerous or "trouble-makers" in the NEO eyes. Lest you forget, archbishop, we the faithful and true Catholics have awaken and are watching you for any and all of your shenanigans. You may have gone out to the people gathered outside your door, to try and ease their minds. Doesn't work anymore. We see you, WOLF!

  11. The people support, love, and respect their parish priests. This is something we do not feel for the arch. He has only himself to blame for becoming a neo puppet!

  12. This was truly heartbreaking to watch. The staunch Catholics of Guam so willing and determined to protect and keep Fr. Mike at Toto church. They are filled with courage of the Holy Spirit to do what ever it will take. It is just plain awful to see how so many manamkos now no longer have faith in Guam's so called Catholic leader and are willing to stand up to him. This goes to show that Guam's Catholics have changed and the church will never be the same as it was. It is too late now for archie to be thinking people will remain as they were. The past bullying is over, he has no choice but to get use to it. I am impressed with the show of courage but saddened that the church has had come to this terrible mess. May God's peace reign.

  13. Apuron: You came out to is and promised that you would do nothing to Fr. Mike. We expect you to honor that promise, and we expect similar promises to be made for Frs. Richard, Dan, and Jun. And be assured, we WILL hold you to it.

  14. Based on a unsolicited opinion of one clergy about why Rome is not doing anything about this issue: Simply, Guam is too small or our community is too small compared to other catholic community. My thoughts ... PEOPLE POWER ... if ROME does not want to intervene and help our problems -- let the people march in groups and dethrone AAA .... as simple as that ... ENOUGH IS ENOUGH ...

  15. I got goosebumps watching the video... the first thing that came to mind was the bible story about the battle of Jericho ... where they marched around , sounded their horns, and the walls came tumbling down !

  16. According to a priest I talk with today he told me Apuron is experiencing a spiritual crisis in his life. It is such a deep spiritual crisis has it has affected his personal belief in God . These strange are happening because he has lost belief in God and placed his belief in false Gods money and power. Money became Apurons God and this has led him into a spiritual desert with no water. Apuron used to tell us we were the dry bones in the desert in need of God. Sad reality is Apuron lost belief in God entered a spiritual desert and has now led the archdiocese into a dry barren land in search of God.

  19. Ummm apuron came out, multiple times to diffuse the situation "for sure, for sure." Can you see right through that!? Saving face, patronizing the peaceful rallying people. That's apuron and the neos tactic, for the past 20 years. Lie to people's faces, point blank, just to shut you up, while the neos steal your money and have sex with Catholic children!

Just a little too late, don't you think apuron?
Apuron insists there is no division and all the evil come from "that blog," this blog.

You naive Toto Parishioners! You think it's that easy, pray here and there and your pastor will be protected? Prayer won't protect your beloved priest, like the others (gofigan and benavente) because they don't pray to the same God you do. apuron and claros, along with the neo leadership are going to hurt you and your pastor more, where it will count. maybe not today, but it will come...for sure, for sure.

Katolikus, is that all you got? Weak! You are so easily fooled and appeased, you dumb Catholics! Those are surely what apuron, claros and the neos are thinking (oh and saying too, by the way).

apuron, you want the Catholics to believe you?
    -Resign.
-Put the neos in their rightful place. Leave them as a group within the Catholic Church, not put them in to lead FOR YOU!
-Exonerate Msgr. James and Fr. Paul, with all others you've maligned, and publicly set things right!
-Be the Shepherd you claim you are in your 'not self-written' letters

Show them, Katolikus, no taking naps now...stay awake and stay vigilant!
No money, no honey!!! Get those neos out of here, especially that poor excuse of a bishop, apuron!!!

  20. Fools?!! Since when was prayer a foolish act? Don't know what you meant about arch running circles around us. More like running around in circles. He was right where we wanted him: face to face. We are not afraid to confront injustice and evil, unlike you who continues to hide behind your anonymous rock. I would have been there had I not had an injury that kept me away. Been to every other event, even praying solo on that hillside for awhile.

  21. Unfortunately tony plans further attacks on catholic priests on Guam. For the first time tony was concerned about the toto group of protestors intending to silence them before photos were taken and published. As a result of the protest march tony was prevented from implementing his intended plan. Do not be silenced by tony he will go to any length to destroy non neo priests of Guam. His one intention is to make Guam and the region a NCW hub for the east.

  23. I do know that the church does not have any democratic processes to our own leadership . There are many contenders out there . I personally think that Archb.Apuron does not have the capability to shepherd his people. As a role model for your clergy and to your people ; you are suppose to be forgiving . I did not see any forgiving , but publicly embarrassed Msgr.Benavente and Fr.Paul . I assume he was influenced by the Neo-cult.

As a "religious organisation" *ahem Neo's , you are suppose to care for one another as an organisation within the Catholic Church. But what I see from your "organisation" you just want the fame and the money.
