WHERE THE MONEY GOES

This is the chart from last year's appeal showing the goal amount and where the money is supposedly going. The archdiocese did not publish one this year. We can assume the numbers for this year are nearly the same.

We must question the amount going to the chaplains. There are only two chaplaincies: GMH and the prison. The normal priest stipend is $900 per month or $10,800 per year. Together that's $21,600 per year. Yet Apuron wants $73,300. In addition, as we have already posted, the Navy pays Apuron $27,000 per year for Fr. Tom's services at the Navy hospital.

  1. Seminarians living on 8 bucks a day? Doubt it.

  2. 65% to pay for a NEO/NCW Cult seminary where they say that we the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church (NON-NEOs) have not learned to sacrifice and put God first. AAA's continued silence endorses that we are not Catholic and the NEO/NCW CULT is and will only be the means to obtain salvation. Why should we the NON-NEO's support this evil cult that bullies Presbyter Apuron to be cruel to our Holy NON-NEO Priests and continuously lie to the flock about his unjustified actions. Enough is Enough. I strongly recommend that we stop the money and boycott all masses preached by a NEO/NCW Cult Presbyter.

The steadfastness and courage of the parishioners from Toto and from other parishes who joined them yesterday at the rally in front of the Chancery in prayerful protest against the archbishop and the ncw hierarchy are to be commended.

These individuals are but a fraction of the numbers of the once silent and now vocal majority of Katoliku and Catholics from the different parishes, unifying and strengthening their positions in their stance for our Catholic Church on Guam and in their opposition to the infiltration of the ncw in our Church and our contributions and donations going to benefit the ncw at all levels of their movement and their agenda to take over our archdiocese!

  6. a public announcement

DUE TO THE CURRENT FINANCIAL STATUS OF THE ARCHDIOCESE OF AGANA
ALL EMPLOYEES ARE ENCOURAGED TO ADOPT THE FOLLOWING COST-CUTTING MEASURES:

    Lodging
All employees are encouraged to stay with relatives and friends while on business travel.
If weather permits, public areas such as parks should be used as temporary lodging sites.
Bus terminals, train stations, and office lobbies may provide shelter in periods of inclement weather.

    Transportation
Hitchhiking is the preferred mode of travel in lieu of commercial transport.
Luminescent safety vests will be issued to all employees prior to their departure on business trips.
Bus transportation will be used only when work schedules require such travel.
Airline tickets will be authorized in extreme circumstances and the lowest fares will be used.
For example, if a meeting is scheduled in Seattle, but the lower fare can be obtained by traveling to Detroit, then travel to Detroit will be substituted for travel to Seattle.

    Meals
Expenditures for meals will be limited to an absolute minimum.
It should be noted that certain grocery and specialty chains, such as Hickory Farms, General Nutrition centers, and, Costco, Sams stores etc. often provide free samples of promotional items.
Entire meals can be obtained in this manner.
Travelers should also be familiar with indigenous roots, berries, and other protein sources available at their destinations.
If restaurants must be utilized, travelers should use "all you can eat" salad bars.
This is especially effective for employees traveling together as one plate can be used to feed the entire group.
Employees are also encouraged to bring their own food on business travel.
Cans of tuna fish, Spam, and Beefaroni can be consumed at your leisure without the necessary bother of heating or costly preparation.

    Miscellaneous
All employees are encouraged to devise innovative techniques in effort to save our corporation dollars.
One enterprising individual has already suggested that money could be raised during airport layover periods which could be used to defray travel expenses.
In support of this idea, red caps will be issued to all employees prior to their departure so that they may earn tips by helping others with their luggage.
Small plastic roses and ball point pens will also be available to employees so that sales may be made as time permits.

yes adrain, you can use your own words......

When our local sons -- who do not wish to pursue a vocation in the ncw and therefore seek diocesan seminary formation in the U.S -- are NOT ONLY turned away by this archbishop and are refused financial support, BUT ALSO, AREN’T EVEN GIVEN a letter of recognition and acknowledgment by their archbishop (seeing as, such acknowledgment is required for them to pursue a seminarian formation in the U.S) WHY THEN are we non-neo Catholics, expected to support and give to a fundraiser which ignores our local sons but supports (100%) foreign residents in a religious movement which is not an entity that belongs to our island’s archdiocese and are -- ironically -- in opposition to authentic Catholic Teachings and Beliefs especially with regard to major Catholic Doctrine!

These local sons who were turned away by the archbishop were willing to assume the cost of their seminary formation in the Mainland, yet this archbishop still refused them a simple letter of support, recognition and acknowledgement. Our local sons want, more than anything, to pursue a religious vocation -- and you denied them that, Archbishop!

Archbishop, do you see why we have boycotted your appeal and fundraiser? You selectively provide support and give credence only to neo formation and neo ways! This is also why we will continue our financial boycott so long as you refuse to provide us with bonafide financial and program service transparencies! The failure of your appeal is our doing and the doings of your non-neo Catholic congreation, Archbishop -- do not fault our good non-neo Pastors!

  8. Section #4 of this pie chart -- supposedly showing where our monies go -- is just one of the examples of deception in our face. What are these programs -- benefitting our Catholic congregation -- which come from the aaa or the chancery?? Here is another section of this budget which can be cut.

... or could #4 be to cover a "travel expense program" for "an airport bishop"? Pope Francis I quoted, when addressing bishops: "Avoid the scandals of being airport bishops" Read here: http://www.zenit.org/en/articles/pope-francis-avoid-the-scandal-of-being-airport-bishops

This chart shows that only 3% of total income is given to clergy support. Once again this shows the present leader has no real concern for his priests .

I don't see Shangri La Hotels and resorts and air tickets in the pie chart . Shangri La Hotels and resorts are supported more than the diocesan priests of Guam. Call me tony let's meet in conways...

  11. This is a pathetic tweak from the Finance Office. Deacon Dominic Kimchee, is that all you got? There are so many more discrepancies that you need to include, do it, or I will. This is also too general a list. Haphazard sweeping account of what you as a paid employee of Guam Catholics concocted for public eyes. No, you cannot fool the donors anymore - Tan Maria, Tun Jose and those who pay you and your assistants' salaries are fed up. Stop the airbrushing of accounts which is a disservice to your fellow accountabts who have sworn integrity and accountability.

  12. Hmmm.... Is there another pie chart showing the percentage of "hush money" paid to victims of sexual abuse by members of the clergy? The Vatican Tribunal would love to get this information.
