SUGGESTION BOX

As you can see from the date of the letter below, I received it awhile ago. I receive lots of letters, emails, notes, packages, etc. You'd be amazed at what I get. I don't post it or even use most of it because this isn't a personal vendetta of mine against any one person. There is something desperately wrong in this archdiocese and I truly believe it is coming from the outside, though it uses local people. However, after Peace/Joy's taunts I'm feeling a little more frisky today. It's rather innocent. And most people have already, on their own, chosen to do this. So it won't do much harm. But, just to let you know the kind of mail I get. You may need to zoom in to read it.

  1. I already stopped the Archbishop's mass many years ago... Way before I heard about all these scandals.

  2. While I continue to support my parish, I no longer contribute to the second collection which I've been told goes to the Archbishop to spend anyway he desires. I've been a major donor to the Archdioesce's Annual Appeal over the years but this year I chose not to donate and instead my donation went to the St. Fidelis Friary to support the formaton of Capuchin priests. Many of my family and relatives have also followed suit and are doing the same thing. If you look at the amount that has been collected thus far wth the AAA, you can see that it doesn't even come close to the financial goal set. It's rather pathetic.

    1. It doesn't matter if you drop in the second collection or not, the parish churches are already assessed 10-15% of money collected to the chancery.

    2. Anonymous (May 1, 2014 at 12:38 PM), thank you for clarifying the ongoing 15% assessment. A couple of months ago someone suggested that parishioners (a) write checks to GPA and/or other utility service providers, (b) purchase cleaning supplies, flowers, etc to donate to parish churches, or (c) offer Mass intentions via the parish office. Instead of dropping money into the collection baskets, parishioners can support their parish in a more direct way that would preclude the chance of funds being diverted up the hill.

The parish should not be "punished" by having support withheld/withdrawn, so parishioners will have to find more creative ways to ensure they don't end up providing support for the NCW against their will. Of course those who want to support the NCW should be able to exercise that prerogative; but at least it would be their intention to do so.

  3. Another idea: let's put our smartphones to use to record squirrelly NCW homilies.

    1. Make sure you have your camera on too. Need to click on the mannerism some of these NEOS process when they are at regular masses. For special events, focus on the seminarians.....3/4 of them don't event participate in the response during the mass or even sing. No excuses for not singing the Chamorro hymns, some of them have been here long enough to know the songs...especially the Archbishop's song, O SEÑORA NANAN-MAMI ...right laughing seminarian?

You call us stalkers....behave yourselves because we are all watching.

HEEHEEEHEEE....the wicked witch of the west!

  4. My Church has been taken over by NCW. We were told that the Cardinal had great & wonderful plans for OUR PARISH!! it was a stealth, 2 year endeavour of new & kinda weird & well co-ordinated stuff.

As soon as i realized what was going down, I returned to the monastery. i put together an email of articles that I continue to update, that I mail out when asked why I left. I will never give them another cent!

  5. I suggest you create new tabs with major headings on top like you did for "Contact Nuncio", "Apuron vs. Gofigan" so everyone viewing the blog can find it easily.

  6. Consider a poll on important issues that will really stand out on this blog. Penny

  7. Can you include your titles on the side so that can I go back and review what I have read. The old post portion on the bottom doesn't work well. I tried looking for an article I read in the past but can't locate now. I don't know you Tim but, I appreciate all that you are doing to keep us inform. Keep up the excellent work. God Bless you for DEFENDING THE FAITH!

    1. Let me work on it. A blog doesn't work like a website. Maybe I can create a tab where all the titles will be listed. Lots of work though.

    2. Anonymous (May 3, 2014 at 10:11 PM), I can understand the reason for your request (listing titles on the side bar) but in light of the fact that new titles are added on an almost daily basis — and sometimes even several titles in one day! — that would be very unweildy.

You might try using the "tags" to guide you. I do understand how hard it is to find an article; just the other day I was trying to explain the concerns regarding the AAA via long-distance. Luckily there's a tag for the "Archdiocese Annual Appeal" that I used to find the post I needed. In other instances, though, I don't always remember what tags were used, and the tabs above don't cover everything so I end up doing what you do.

Suggestion: Maybe the year/months could be listed — like they used to be — with the titles for each month in a drop down style. That way we can "jump" back and forth between the posts.

    3. You can also do a keyword search top left.

  8. You may want to update the website listing that are reliable that I've been posted for others to view. They are comments that are fairly long with sources cited. Penny
