CAPTION THIS - NEVER MIND

Inside cover photo for the commemorative book The Fiftieth Anniversary of the Archdiocese of Agana Guam.

Nice book, but the last chapter has yet to be written, hasn't it, Archbishop?

  3. Okay. I was just kidding about "caption this." I know it will get out of hand real quick. So never mind.

A Portrait with no History. But congratulations to the artist. Very difficult to capture personality into oil but the artist seems to have captured his personality very well.

    1. Thank you, Anonymous 5:06 p.m. for your kind prayers for the souls of the archbishop's recently deceased nephew and brother. In our anger with the archbishop's actions we sometimes forget to have compassion when our enemy is suffering. And remember most of the Apuron clan is not NCW. How conflicted they must feel between family loyalty and conscience.

    2. I'm not sure which nephew. I was told he was the son of one of the archbishop's sisters. I was not given any information about the circumstances nor the cause. Just that the nephew passed away in the U.S. mainland.

  9. My caption is not appropriate for viewing. However, I couldn't help think the picture looked "steely" as in metal steel or icy! BTW white is most def NOT his color. The fiery background seems fitting, though. Joy joy!

  13. Probably best not to open up a "caption motion." Will get ugly quick with the current sentiment swirling around the Archdiocese of Agana. As much as we want solutions, we have to leave the judgment to God. We see injustice and reneging of responsibility but the hand of God is more fair in dispensing justice and mercy. Let not the sins of the leader jeopardize the welfare of individual souls. In the end each of us will face the Just Judge on our own without the crutches of a movement or trappings of power. We will be naked and vulnerable in front of our loving Creator. Keep the faith and don't get distracted by the weakness and tunnel vision of others.

  14. May I respectfully commend Mr. Thomas Tanaka on the excellent piece on PDN today? He outlined exactly what Roman Catholics are facing on the island of Guam. He challenges the Zzzzzzzzz who seems visually and mentally impaired to look beyond his adulation of ncw. Mr. Tanaka's passion and faithfulness to the tradition passed on by our forebears in faith are admirable, and I want him to know we support him in this fight. What struck me is when he rightly points out the harmonious and respectful relationship between religions and denominations on Guam, however, we cannot allow a sect that masquerades as Catholic yet does not adhere to the basic teachings of the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church, and usurps the parishes and their finances with lies and dubious operations. All the while, the dummy Archbishop permits and encourages their abominations without batting an eyelash. I do wish I can reveal my name but I work under the Archdiocese and I am only one of many who are silenced by a vindictive group of neos who have been given unquestioned power. Mr. Tanaka galvanizes many to face the Truth.

    1. @9:54 PM: With a comment like that clearly indicates that you are a brainwashed Kikobot and adhere to the instructions given to you by your master. Pathetic.

  16. Brother, is that the passage wherein Moses sings, "this land is mine, God gave this land to me"? Very Kikoesque to claim property that is not theirs. A posture imposed by Pius the Carmelite, and obeyed by Tony the Airport Bishop. Clap clap clap!

  19. I don't know who would want to display this picture in their home. Such vanity! I bet he'll be selling signed copies at his birthday. But, as Tim said, this is not the last chapter.

    2. Yup, the party is on. Clap clap clap. MC Hammer flying in to perform "U Can't Touch This", hula girls coming in from Hawaii, a pole being erected on center stage for Diana and Adrian, and the grand finale, "The Salapi Dance", performed by Archie himself.

  23. I think the Bishops hat with the no NCW posting you once had would be more appropriate. Can we get bumper stickers or something to put on our car back windows to show our disapproval? Where did you have that made?
