BLAME, BLAME, BLAME

AB Hon presided over the 10:00 mass today at Santa Barbara. His homily was quite long, but the salient points that I do remember include:

1) We live in a culture that is fast. He didn't limit it to Guam. We expect everything to be done quickly.
2) We should strive for peace and unity.
3) The blogs and news station knew about his announcement regarding Fr. Jeff & Fr. Lito before it was officially announced.
4) The blogs are encouraging false barriers.

  1. You want unity, Hon? Don't talk negatively about the jungle, this ìs of the people.

Now if you mean diana's, then yes. They make false, well, everything!

I am ANONYMOUS because I am everyone!

  2. Becky, you should've set that guy straight. Toy are armed with the truth and conviction. Hom surrounds himself with theives and liars. Your words would be the first sound of truth he'd hear...

  3. Not going to get better. The restaurant looks clean but is still serving shit. May be in a gorgeous platter but still feces on a plate. Record, document, record!
Wake up, Catholics! They're trying to sermon you into submission and so you would take apuron back and not kick out the neo. Direct orders from his boss--the devil.

    2. WoW! Someone must have Googled the meaning of gadfly - A fly that bites livestock, especially a horsefly, warble fly, or botfly or an annoying person, especially one who provokes others into action by criticism. Isn't it ABOUT TIME that Someone Provokes Others into Thinking That All is NOT WELL with the Catholic Churches and Clergy on Guam! Another WoW! What An Awesome Concept! I Totally Approve!

    3. Who uses that word "Gadfly"? Must have not know what say; then used "Google"; its out of the NEO playbook, just like the overuse of the word like Calumny & Joyful. NEO JackA$$!

  5. Becky Toves, Archbishop Hon should have been prepped about our traditions and our culture.

    1. Maybe we do live in a culture that is fast, but that is an opinion.
    2. We are a peaceful people and we function as a family unit.
    3. Archbishop Hon needs to understand that on Guam news travel fast. We have what we call
    "Telefon Halailai"
    4. Blogs are informative and it's up to individuals to make their own decisions. We are no fools!

Archbishop Hon should have been made aware that here on Guam word gets out...even testimonies from NCW leak out.

  6. That's the problem Hon, You want to set barriers as a resolve to the problems that we are having in the archdiocese. We in the JW blog oppose any kinds of barriers, false or otherwise. We want to start seeing transparency and progress. You seem to blame your inability to resolve anything to God's pace. Is it God's pace to have hate and discontent, disunity and division continue to thrive in the Body of Christ? God's pace for you should be the directive you received from Pope Francis, "Resolve the matter URGENTLY." Your response of dragging your feet, forming committee's, Not acknowledging the victims, and then you call for unity and re-conciliation in the midst of all the hurt and wounded who continue to suffer? Should we not first bind the wounds and stop the bleeding before calling for unity and peace?

  7. Isn't "False Barriers" an oxymoron to Hon's desire for peace and unity?

True, just because he deceit and he have to debt what he did. We all will have to debt for our sin. We all will suffer in agonging, too. Vain or mortal. Be clemency or morality.

  9. Hon is advocating a "one-way" forgiveness and unity approach. This is the scenario he most likely wants to see: We forgive Apuron and take him back as our Archbishop because he has confessed his sins to Cardinal Filoni in Rome. Never mind the Neocats. They have been approved by the Pope, and the document will be sent from Rome soon. Accept the neo-presbyters. They came from far away places to help the adults of Guam be closer to God. Don't worry about their teachings--you can accept it or not accept it because you have a free will. If you don't accept it, however, you chance waking up in hell. Just go to mass wherever, even if you can't understand the sermons or homilies of these neo-presbyters. Not a problem, you're still a Catholic, though you are one of those who may wake up one day in hell. With regard to alms giving; you are expected to support the overall Church, that includes the neocats and their activities. Don't worry, funds will not be given to the neocats (wink, wink!). The changes of leadership at the Chancery is all just window-dressing to show the Catholic Faithful he is supporting our cry for change.
So his mantra is: "Can't we all just get along?" If this is what you are asking us, AB Hon; sorry, we will be protesting you to get our of Guam!

  10. 1 - We are lucky that we live in a culture that is fast. WHY NOT? We need to fix things asap - Not Forty Years from Now!

2 - You will not have peace and unity when you are totally ignoring what people are telling you what is needed to achieve peace and unity.

3 - The blogs and news stations all have "UnderGround Networks" so it is better that you announce whatever you are doing up front asap!

4 - Totally Wrong! What false barriers are the blogs encouraging? Blogs are where people can voice their opinions and frustrations and you can bet that there are always very good suggestions because it involves Everyone!

  15. The following is an excerpt of a Washington Post editorial in today's Guam Daily Post: "Empathy for the oppressed has always been a hallmark of Francis's papacy. In this case, the pontiff has acknowledged that, at times, the church has been and can still be the oppressor - whether by discriminating against gay people, treating women in its ranks as second-class citizens or preaching clerical celibacy while protecting child abusers in the priesthood. His comments show a long-overdue willingness on the part of the church to grapple with its troubled past and to try to do better in the present." Archbishop Hon, try and do better. Your life is dedicated to it.

  16. AB Hon came all the way from Rome to tell us he has the power. He sure has an astute sense of the obvious. I could have saved him a trip. 2. You are right, Joseph. Hon is better off on the sidelines, cheering for his team than actually involved in the game as an umpire. He does not want to hurt anyone's feelings just like Fr. Jeff his representative who is unable to make decisions. He makes the problem bigger by trying to accomodate both teams, when he should be making the calls expected of his role.

Another thing, why even assign a "mini me" to take the fall for him when the "mini me" can't even make a decision. This process is simply adding another layer of bureaucracy to confuse people and overload the decision-making process. Hon is so passive and so full of his "serenity" talk, and he dares blame the laypeople and Jungle Watch! This blog has been the official mouthpiece over a couple of years that carefully laid out issues in an objective manner. It galvanized people to make informed decisions about how they will respond to the scandals that Apuron brought to Guam. If only Archbishop Hon takes time to read the articles and weed out some of the vitriolic comments, he can deduce vital information to help him make decisions.

As it stands, he exemplifies the benevolent owner who needed to cut the tail of his dog for health reasons. In his mind, in order to avoid pain for his pet he decides to cut short segments over a period of time. The dog would have suffered less had he snipped that darn tail once and for all, and get it over with. Hon is like this man. He believes in throwing morsels in the hope that people gradually get used to a multiple of "new normals" and get acclimated to his dainty little improvements. He believes in a showy "prayers for unity" while ignoring real people who are hurting. He lives in a medieval castle in a cloud who does not know how to deal with real people. Hon is not the man for the job at hand, he is too effete to fight decisively and swiftly. He belongs at a desk that involves anachronistic diplomacy, with Vatican walls to shield him from real people who have feelings, grievances and real jobs. He would work well in endless meetings which always results in stalemates just to give superfluous people something to do while remaining on the payroll. There are lots of these at the Vatican. He would suit the office of a papal chamberlain in the real sense of the word - to clean out the papal bedpan on a daily basis, and curtsying to his master while he does so.

  17. This is one of the facts that he has pointed out that Apuron and his cronies including May and the NCW have constantly denied "That there is a division within the Catholic Church in Guam". So Hon, you know that a division exist, and you admit that you have "the power", on top of that you have a directive from the Pope, not just Filoni, but his boss also, read our lips, P-O-P-E F-R-A-N-C-I-S. quit wasting time and start fixing, time is not yours to manage, you do not know what tomorrow will bring.. You can start by reaching out to all the victims of Apuron.

  18. Church Militant, do not be alarmed by AB Hon's rhetoric from the pulpit. Propaganda is a hallmark of the Neo and socialist. AB Hon's call for patience & unity is nullified by his failure to bring to justice the architects of disunity and heal the wounds they inflicted.

Appointing Fr. Jeff and Fr. Lito to replace Adrian and Quitugua acquits the "perps" of any culpability with regards to their crimes and throws "salt" in the wounds that have divided this Church! Hon's attempt to "heal" and foster "unity" is an "empty chalice" held high for all to "see". A façade, an "illusion".
AB Hon, if you are serious about restoring unity, hold a prayer vigil at the Cathedral to restore Monsgr. James to his previous positions. And a vigil at Santa Barbara to restore Fr. Paul to his previous position as pastor.
All else is pomp and smoke!

  19. Analyzing the “false barriers”.

•“The [JW] blogs are creating false barriers [to unity].” – AB Hon homily at Dededo Sunday Mass, putting the blame squarely on us for his total failure to bring healing to the suffering Church” – i.e. “not my fault that there is no unity; you’re blocking my progress”!

•A RETORT. “Isn’t ‘false barriers’ an oxymoron for Hon’s desire for peace and unity?” – ANON at 9:36, 7/3.

  20. this is more of a side note. archbishop hon's bad response so far is a very bad example from someone who's the no. 2 in the "congregation for the evangelization of peoples."

why? because if this is someone who's supposed to be leading the Church in spreading the Good News, then that effort will FAIL rather miserably. for why would anyone who hasn't yet heard the Gospel join a religion whose leaders treat its own believers this way?

  21. I am starting to believe that Hon just doesn't have the skills to deal with the immense havoc that Apuron inflicted upon this archdiocese. Does he have any experience dealings with people, from a pastoral point of view? Did they send us a secretary, or a clerk, who just sits behind a desk, with no interpersonal experience to solve personnel issues within the Church? Perhaps he does not know what to do? He seems to be winging it daily, fumbling along, and now making excuses and blaming the victims he is suppose to be helping. Same Shit different Day..

Hon, Could it be that you choose to acknowledge what the real problem is, or maybe there is the concern of hurting the feelings of brother bishop tony, friends, acquaintances in the NCW club perhaps? Hon, Do you need any help from JW Blog, You are correct, knowledge is power, JW knows what the problem is, we have practical first hand knowledge what the problem is, after all we are the ones on the receiving end of being screwed all these years. Just ask and we will be more than happy to provide options on resolving the problem. Realize that it will be painful and arduous for some people, but extreme problems require extreme measures, and in serious cases, we need to cut off the gangrene infected parts to fix the trouble. Please do not wait too long, the longer you wait, the worse the problem will become.

    1. MY SECOND OPEN LETTER TO ARCHBISHOP HON

Most Rev. Savio Hon Tai Fai, S.D.B.
      Apostolic Administrator
      Archdiocese of Agana
      Cuesta San Ramon Hill
      Hagatña, GU 96910 July 4, 2016

      Dear Archbishop Hon:

(Via email forward from Chancery Secretary, as I still do not have your email address)

Aside from the many egregious issues that are continually being brought to your attention in what are truly creating division and sufferings within our Church, I would like to add one more – the issue of heresies and aberrations that are coming out of the teachings and practices of the Neocatechumenal Way as are being taught to and advanced by the presbyters of the Redemptoris Mater Seminary – true to the mission and purpose of RMS which is “to prepare men for the priesthood for the new evangelization following the life and practice of the Neocatechumenal Way” (Article III, RMS Articles of Incorporation)

You, Archbishop – as the “supreme Teacher and Defender of the Catholic Faith” here in our archdiocese - are duty bound to stand up and oppose any teaching and practice that is not in conformance with the teachings of the Magisterium of the Catholic Church. You cannot, in good conscience, tolerate the tenets of the NCW as taught in the RMS seminary, specifically those theological beliefs and Catholic practices that we, as Catholics, are bound to believe and encouraged to practice.

Why do you not stand up in the pulpit and preach against the heresies and liturgical aberrations of the NCW, as taught at RMS? You know the theological/liturgical errors we speak of.

      1. Why do you not preach to us that Jesus is Divine, is true God and true Man (not half-man and half-God), and that Jesus is not a sinner? That He cannot be a sinner and God at the same time?
      2. Why do you not preach to us that the Mass we celebrate is a TRUE SACRIFICE, identical to the sacrifice of Christ on the Cross?
      3. Why do you not preach to us that Jesus is truly present (Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity) in the Holy Eucharist, and not just symbolically present in the “communities”?
      4. Why do you not preach to us that it is truly efficacious to pray for our deceased who may still be suffering in Purgatory?
      5. Why don’t you preach that man is essentially good (though having the propensity to sin by the effects of Original Sin), and that he has complete free will (despite God’s pre-knowledge), and therefore FULLY responsible for his acts (sins)?
      6. Why don’t you preach that man’s actual sins are forgiven through confession to a priest, and not through public confession in a community?
      7. Why don’t you encourage your priests to bring back the custom of private confession in a confessional?
      8. Why don’t you give Our Blessed Mother that unique reverence of “hyperdulia” reserved only to her, and encourage devotional acts to her?
      9. Why don’t you preach to us that in denying Jesus through our sins, we have more of an example in Peter who denied Christ and later repented, than in Judas who denied Christ and despaired of God’s mercy and forgiveness?
      10. Why don’t you teach us from the Catechism of the Catholic Church, instead of being lectured by your presbyters from the writings of Kiko Arguello?

TO BE CONTINUED IN PART 2

    2. JRSA 2ND OPEN LTR TO AB HON – PART 2

Archbishop Hon, if you are truly seeking for UNITY, then lead us all through “unity in Faith” – One Faith, One Lord, One Baptism. We cannot, and will not, give in to the heresies being perpetrated on us by the presbyters coming out of RMS. You cannot allow your sheep to live in the same den as the wolves that seek to devour them (adulterate their faith). If the RMS cannot and will not bend to the teachings of Holy Mother Church, then tell the Neos to go build their own churches and practice their own heresies and liturgical aberrations (undisturbed by us) in the privacy of their own venues – outside of our churches!

You will NEVER achieve unity if you keep trying to “mix vinegar with oil”. Chamorros are a “stubborn people”, Your Excellency. We cannot, and will not live with heresies, even if you DEMAND that we do “in the name and spirit of fraternal charity”. Like St. Thomas More did who disobeyed his King (Henry VIII), rather than disobey his God (and got executed for it), we will disobey you in living, believing, and practicing our Faith, side by side with heretics -- if that will be YOUR solution to the problem!

May the Holy Spirit be your Guide.
