"Rodney," a JW follower, shares an important thought in response to my post WE ARE NOT ON A DAMN SYNODAL JOURNEY
"The modern world has achieved a spectacular paradox: it demands that the shepherd be entirely toothless to prove that he loves the sheep. In our current vocabulary, the noble command to 'be pastoral/ has shrunk into a tiny, euphemistic synonym for being thoroughly wimpy./ Synodal. It is the defensive reflex of an effete leadership that flinches from the hard iron of dogma, mistaking cowardice for compassion.
By dressing up a palsy of the will as a triumph of charity, this rank duplicity stands exposed. When theology becomes a mere exercise in diplomatic compromise, it ceases to protect the flock and begins to invite its own swift retribution. A church that coddles chaos while fleeing from fortitude cannot endure; it prepares its own undoing, ensuring that when charity is divorced from truth, history becomes a catastrophe."
