Not one ounce of sincerity in this priest. He fails to show true empathay to the victims of sexual abuse. He would have been better not giving an interview. He looked like a walking dead not understanding what he saying.
Father you allowed abuse to take place because you knew of Anthony Apurons history. You contributed to Apurons crimes and you insult every victim in this interview.
For one minute stop think empathize with Ms. Concepcion a mother whose son died in emotional pain because of the rotten evil reckless vicious malicious dangerous serial abuser that you knowingly protected. There is no trust in your empty pathetic words.

Anon 1:08 AM..I want to thank you for reminding Fr Jess about Sonny and the emotional Pain he went through..Now it's my turn to tell Fr Jeff how I feel about him....
Fr Jeff I do appreciate your presence at My son's Funeral Service but I Cannot forget your exact words to me before and during the service...You said' My SUPERIORS GAVE ME PERMISSION TO ATTEND SONNY'S SERVICE AND SAY A FEW WORDS..I was a bit puzzled when you said that but didn't dwelt on it until you were up there and started your so called Homily.. ...You repeated those exact same words while looking at me...You said a few things about sonny then started talking about forgiveness and etc. You reminded us how Jesus forgave our sins and how we should forgive too especially those whom we think might have hurt us...You asked everyone to pray for each other and for our Priest
You may not have mentioned Apuron'S name but I know you were talking about him..Fr Jeff do you remember the SHUT THE FUCK UP AND GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE LOOK I GAVE YOU when you turned my way to make sure I was listening..DO YOU REMEMBER THAT.??..I'm sure you did because you immediately turned away and never looked at me again throughout the entire service....I knew you were waiting for me afterwards but I didn't want to talked to you..I avoided you the whole time..You were probably even waiting for a white Fat envelope with a HUGE bonus in it for being there..for some reason I felt my son telling me to be careful,.Not to trust you because you are one of them. .you and your superiors saw a chance to defend Apuron's honor by coming to my son's funeral service and pretending you really cared...if you really did then why the hell are you opposing Bill 326??..You and Hon are both 2 face and only thinking of yourselves..Don't give ME any BS excuse about saving the schools and etc...You know that is not the truth..You are only looking out for yourselves and your assets You AND Hon have too much at stake..why else would you oppose the signing of this Bill if our children's welfare and safety are your biggest concern.....You knew what Apuron did and continued doing but you chose to turned the other way..You sold your soul to the Devil and for that YOU ARE JUST AS GUILTY AS APURON...I cannot trust anything you say or do..You may have fooled a lot of people during your press conference but you did NOT fool me one bit..

    1. Terlaje Fr.Jeff wanted money and power. That's the sad reality. He really is not a nice person but i'm sure happy the people of Guam see just how ugly he really is.

    2. Sad part is that most will show up willingly. They are so afraid of losing their precious property.
Victims, what victims? They are now trying to make themselves be the victims.

This is such a grave lapse in morality. Sickening.

  3. file for bankruptcy, liquidate the seminary..more than enough money to pay the victims and current debt. set aside money to settle for more legitimate victims of clergy abuse. buy a smaller and manageable properties that can be used as seminary and retreat center. Different communities can pay to use the retreat center...money can be used to maintain both properties.

  4. Declaring bankruptcy allows the church time to negotiate settlements with victims, organize its assets in a reorganization plan and ensure that victims get some sort of financial compensation for the alleged abuse.

Bankruptcies can automatically freeze civil lawsuits until the bankruptcy is complete – which can take years – and bar any future lawsuits. Suits are frozen while the archdiocese inventories its assets and establishes a trust from which victims are then paid. Legally, a trial can continue after the bankruptcy is complete, but that is extremely rare.

  5. It just seems the potential of the church's actions have some really scary insane outcomes. I can not believe the church kept silent for 2 months and only now is doing this church and school on onslaught of going against the legislature. AND going against the protection of child sex abuse. Can the Catholic non profit groups take our an ad in the paper and let Catholics island wide know exactly what is happening. The reality is some people are sheep and wont have a clue what going on. If something is written in the paper and put on the media at least there is on opportunity to educate people on the manipulation and insanity of the churches actions. The community needs to know the church did nothing and said noting when they had a chance. NOW all they want to do is SAVE BUILDINGS. Proof of NO Spirituality here!! Just more of the same!!

  7. The mission of the Church in Guam is to screw the victims. No pun intended.

  8. Archdiocese does not want us to know the extent of its wealth to include all of the stocks and bonds it owns.

  9. fr jeff, please explain how bill 326 would put the mission of the Church "at a very real risk"? because, if i recall correctly, the Church's mission is this:

``Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.'' (matthew 28:19-20)

are you saying that you expect bill 326 to succeed in doing what emperors, lions, executioners, and heretics couldn't do for 2000+ years?

since those questions are too broad, let me be more specific: how exactly would bill 326 hinder "the ministries of our parishes, school and social service organizations"?

final questions, fr jeff: did the folks who will be on that "small panel of speakers" submit testimony to the legislature regarding this bill? if not, why not?

      Exactly what is Jeff hiding?
You want to know Jeff what Archbishop Apuron said about you behind your back? He is no friend of yours. What are you hiding Jeff?

  11. Using the pulpit, altarboys and schools to disseminate inaccurate, unfounded statements in order to incite fear is the ultimate hypocrisy demonstrated by our Church hierarchy and clerics.
Why now? You had every opportunity to speak during the public hearings but chose to remain silent.
It is now crystal clear that your primary concern for preserving church assets outweighs the protection of victims of sexual abuse. Your stance on this issue is not only appalling but reprehensible.

  13. Note to Clergy: Don't throw away the trust that people have in you and attend this press conference. It will be the laity against Apuron and the Clergy. Not good for the world to see. Fr. Jeff, let this bill become law, you cannot stop the forces of Good. This is OUR Church and if the people are willing to rebuild as necessary, we will with a clear conscience.

    3. I have been gone from Guam for a long time so I am not understanding how the Catholic Schools will be impacted if the Church is sued. Parents pay tuitions to send their children to Catholic Schools and those tuitions are supposed to stay with the schools for the schools to be able to run. Was money being funneled to the NCW? What percentage of the tuitions are being used for the RMS? This is so wrong! Guam - The Catholic Schools need to have an Independent Audit done to see what is happening to the monies!

  15. It is my belief the agana archdiocese needs to become bankrupt so it can be rebuilt on the truth faith justice and love. The church of anthony Apuron was morally bankrupt because he was disordered as a person. Let the archdiocese die and be rebuilt as a true church.
