NICE START BYRNES

In the Archdiocese of Agana, one gets rewarded for disobedience. But Adrian was more that "disobedient." He committed crimes against the faithful. Time to pursue that law suit. Nice start Byrnes.

    1. Perhaps the St. Paul University in Ottawa, Canada is on a semester calendar for their Canon Law students?

This is a follow-up to the Christmas Eve post by Frenchie, “A Very Odd and Untimely Gift from Archbishop Byrnes”, which garnered 89 comments.

Moving someone from sunny Guam to frozen Ottawa in early January might be a “punishment” someone from Detroit could appreciate.

      Happy new year!

    3. I'll state again that while Byrnes approved it, it was not Byrnes' idea. This has nothing to do with disciplining Adrian, and in fact, despite my inference, it has nothing to do with rewarding him either. This has everything to do with getting him away from the upcoming law suits where he can and will be made to talk. While he cannot escape the law, his handlers are hoping out of sight out of mind. Too late.

Filoni Baloney seems to not be aware of 28 U.S. Code § 1783(a) – “A court of the United States may order the issuance of a subpoena requiring the appearance as a witness before it, or before a person or body designated by it, of a national or resident of the United States who is in a foreign country ...” If there is a similar statute/code at the local level on Guam, then Ottowa, Canada is not a far enough place for Presbyter Adrian to be stashed.

With Abp Byrnes 'approving' Adrian's canon law stash-him-away to Canada assignment, and Filoni Baloney commanding this "assignment" for the purpose of making Adrian unavailable to the child sexual abuse lawsuits ... there continues the "aiding" and "abetting" and the "cover-uping." Will the clergy every learn?

    6. Could it be this "assignment" of Adrian to Canada to study Canon Law was suggested by Adrian, offering to go at his own expense? And Byrnes accepted the suggestion, seeing it as a quiet way of getting rid of Adrian? I have no facts to support this theory. I'm just trying to understand Byrnes, giving him a little slack.

  3. Really? What a damn joke. They should disavow Adrian. What a cry baby and a stinking idiot. Idk what archbishop Byrnes was thinking when he allowed Adrian to pursue canon law. What a waste of money.

Happy New Year to all our readers throughout the world.

  5. Wow. To think that he can get away with everything he's done.. AND WE'RE PAYING FOR THAT!? Drain the diocese dry! STOP THE MONEY! We all know that justice will never be served if we leave it to Filoni's puppet.

The destructive nature of JW will be exposed even more in 2017. Archbishop Byrnes will be back and will take over the leadership of the archdiocese permanently. He will surely put a muzzle on the enemies of the church whose only interest is destabilization, distortion and destruction.

  7. This guy is starting out just like Hon did. Next give reward Quitugua for all the evil he did with the Yoña property.

  8. Wow. . ! Where's the justice in this? And to add salt to the wound, I bet we, the Catholic faithful on Guam, are going to pay for his education!!! Talk about being screwed again. . . Come on Archbishop Byrnes. Talk to the Laity who know the screw-ups in this Archdiocese of Agana. Not all your priests know what's going on. Many have been complacent and generally lazy. Because Apuron never really cared about the parishes, the pastors all went AWOL. In spite of all these corruption at the highest level of our Chancery, the Laity persevered. We need a true leader in this Archdiocese to take swift action and punish these priests who abused their authority. You're the one to take care of this. Why did you award Adrian? Some may say good riddance, but I say--and I believe the vast majority of the Faithful are asking, "What is going on here?!". We are questioning your judgment and whether you really want to heal this Church on Guam. Or are you another puppet Archbishop for Filoni in Rome. We know he is running roughshod over you, but stand your ground, Archbishop. He is not your boss!

  9. Sorry, but I have to disagree about adrian being "rewarded". Sending adrian off island to "continue" his studies in Canon Law may be a blessing in disguise. "Canon Law sets forth the manner in which members of the church are to conduct themselves not only in their relationship and interaction with the church but in their personal and civic lives as well". 1. Getting rid of Adrian in any way shape or form is a blessing. However, a simple sabbatical would do if not finding another bishop who would take him. But sending him off to "continue his canon law studies" is a slap in our faces, not from Adrian, but from Byrnes.

First, Adrian announced that he was rejecting Hon's reassignment to Umatac and that he was studying Canon law to justify his rejection. So this "continuing" his studies is apparently an extension of this. LOL.

Second, Adrian isn't just a problem priest, he was at the center of everything evil in this diocese, and through his many lies, committed crimes against the people.

Third, we are being made to pay for this bullshit even while the chancery is shutting down other services and now taxing the schools to pay its bills. You'll hear about that soon.

    2. I will pray that bishop of Ottawa would take him.

    3. It's bad enough that our masses are not as well-attended as they used to be (and THAT is an understatement!). Now, if the Archdiocese starts to tax the schools, we will see an exodus to public schools very shortly after.

Right now, many of us still want to give Byrnes the benefit of the doubt. But Byrnes is working hard to reduce all doubt that he doesn't know what he's doing.

  10. I warned people before Christmas. This option while removing Adrian from the island is NOT a blessing in disguise.
This evil individual gets away with murder. He is sent away at your own dime and is not being held responsible for any of his misdeeds. This will be read by the Neos as an endorsement of their evil ways

  11. Will Byrnes pay for Ardian to continue his studies? I say that the burden will fall on the backs of the Guam Faithful, who have already been broken by Apuron and his misfits in the past years. This is more insult to the already injured Church in Guam. TY burnes for the slap in the face..

  12. Byrnes' main concern will be preservation of archdiocesan assets in the wake of increasing abuse lawsuits. Insurance carriers are not compelled to make adjudicated settlement payouts. Some of those jumbo payments are made out of pocket.

The Vatican will pull his strings to their advantage and he will cave in to wealthy Neocats. Don't cut Byrnes any slack. Hold his feet to the fire and get the justice you deserve.

  13. The question indeed is why are we rewarding this useless piece of shit? Adrian brought the troubles here through the ncw and his vindictive personality. We should be raising hell about this "canon law study" stuff. He cannot minister, much less offer resolutions or compassion to hurting couples who seek annulment of their sacramental marriage. What a joke! Why aren't the other priests up in arms? Are we to allow Archbishop Byrnes to make this crappy decision?

    3. "we" are not going to fund anything we don't like if we STOP THE MONEY, period. If it means going back to hearing mass in the open air in order to cleanse our church, so be it. we can always rebuild afterwards. Let's get rid of the diseases in our church first.

  15. I believe Byrnes started out with good intentions. He said he would listen before he would take action, but it seems he is only listening to one side
and already making wrong decisions. Will we be seeing his name on the protest signs anytime soon?

When it came to byrnes, I guess that guy r. perez, of the pdn comments called it right, the arrival of the great white failure...

Well at least we now know the code words used when they agree and confirm their complicity to the vatian, "I belong to you, I’m one of yours"...

For me, byrnes most telling comment was when he said he has a personal relationship with our lord, only to find out that the "lord" he's referencing is the lord almighty dollar, or it it euro...

    2. ... And probably an "imprimatur" by F. Filoni as well! It does seem like Filoni is calling the shots (on behalf of NCW). I wish that Byrnes will stand up to Filoni and tell him who's "boss" in this archdiocese! Maybe Byrnes is thinking "but what if Filoni becomes the next pope!", and is just being condescending to cover his behind! And where does that leave the rest of us (the Faithful)? Out in the cold!! As usual!!
