A REMINDER - from a REAL BISHOP

With the disappointing words and actions of Archbishop Byrnes thus far, we are immediately reminded of our duty as outlined by Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen in an address to the Knights of Columbus in 1972:
"Who is going to save our Church? Not our bishops, not our priests and religious. It is up to you, the people. You have the minds, the eyes, the ears to save the Church. Your mission is to see that your priests act like priests, your bishops, like bishops, and your religious act like religious."
This quote will be posted permanently in the right side bar in the hopes that we will no more hear pleas to Rome for help. It NEVER was Rome's job in the first place. It was OURS. All of this hell and filth was brought upon ourselves by...OURSELVES. We chose not to confront, to look the other way. We have no one to blame but ourselves. And no one can fix this - as Sheen reminds us - but OURSELVES.

    1. It was Arch Hon who laid the ground work to have the Yona property revert back to the archdiocese. Hon had a slow start but ended with a flurry and bang.

  3. Abp. Sheen was a prophet who was intentionally destroyed by pedophile Cardinal Spellman.

  4. I wish Archbishop Fulton Sheen can pour down ice cold water on his fellow brother priest every time they go of course.

To you Archbishop Byrnes, "There has never been a sad saint, and if he is sad, he is not a saint. The reason is very simple: "The fruits of the Spirit is joy." As Tertullian said: "The Christian saint is hilarious." Christianity began with the announcement of "tidings of great joy." ~Fulton J. Sheen.

Archbishop Byrnes, are you coming back to Guam with tidings of great joy that the laity rightfully deserve since and ever since!?

  5. Totally agree, we must take it on ourselves to take action against the NCW heresy in whichever way we can, so that we can make a difference no matter how small.

“Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.” ― Mother Teresa

We can start by educating our Catholic brethren about the heresy of the NCW so that they are not deceived into becoming a member of this cult. If every one of us worked to prevent this heresy from growing, imagine the results. Make it part of your mission to prevent this heresy from growing, enlighten your fellow Catholics, talk to them, open their eyes and expose this evil heresy that has entered our beloved church.

  6. Fulton Sheen in 1948: “Satan will set up Counter-Church”

"In the midst of all his seeming love for humanity and his glib talk of freedom and equality, he will have one great secret which he will tell to no one: he will not believe in God. Because his religion will be brotherhood without the fatherhood of God, he will deceive even the elect. He will set up a counter-church which will be the ape of the Church, because he, the Devil, is the ape of God. It will have all the notes and characteristics of the Church, but in reverse and emptied of its divine content. It will be a mystical body of the Antichrist that will in all externals resemble the mystical body of Christ."

Doesn't this paragraph also describe the Neocatechumenal way.

    1. It does. However the NCW is only the cancer that has grown out of an already diseased body. The devil wants us to be distracted by the symptoms and not the disease. The NCW did not arrive in a vacuum.

    2. on the other hand Tim , could it be said the ncw arrived due to a vacuum.David.Melbourne.

  7. Tim is absolutely correct, as supported by the statement of Abp Sheen.

It is our problem to fix, and we are doing it. We have absolute control over our destiny. Some people have said we did our part in telling Rome we have a bad situation, and now it's up to the Pope. But that's just not right. Francis has great sound bites, but so far has refused to show his teeth. He could get rid of Apurun right now, or he could just let this go on.

But we are also in full control. Even if the Pope does nothing our actions have great impact. The Church is under extreme financial distress. They are in that position because they refuse to heed their bosses, US. And for my part, as one of their bosses, I elect not to pay them until they do what I feel is an adequate job.

Obviously, many other people feel the same way as I do, which is why the Church is feeling the pressure. But I also know that most bosses are still paying their employee priests/bishops because they feel guilty. But let me remind you that your employee feels no guilt. They just laugh to the bank.

Do you think Apurun has the slightest feeling of guilt?
Do you think Quitugua/Lurch has the slightest feeling of guilt?
Do you think Adrian Jokers Wild has the slightest feeling of guilt?
Do you think Rude-eeen has the slightest feeling of guilt?
Do you think Jackie the trained lawyer has the slightest feeling of guilt?
Do you think Doc Quack Eusebio has the slightest feeling of guilt?
Do you think Gennarini has the slightest feeling of guilt?
Do you think Felony Filoni has the slightest feeling of guilt?
Do you think KIKO has the slightest feeling of guilt?
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, and HELL NO
These cookoo kikos only feel greed and elitist.

If more of you had cut the cash flow to your employees earlier, our problems would have been fixed earlier. Our control is in our purses and wallets.

If you have a priest employee your happy with, don't give him money, because the Chancery will just steal that for their own greedy needs, and nothing will change. Write a check to GPA, or GWA, or buy some of their groceries. Make a payment for his health insurance and other insurance needs. You don't have to make the entire portion of that bill. If you write a check to Sta Teresita for $50 each week, make it payable now to GPA, GWA, etc. Pale can take all those checks and the vendors will be glad to accept them.

But do not pay anything for the auto loan or the building loan. Once the parishes start to default on the bank loan payments the banks will then get the Chancery off their high horses.

If Byrnes continues to coddle and mollify the renegade priests and RMS and NCW communities, fine. How long will it take him to reconsider when his diocese is falling apart and spiralling into bankruptcy because of his mismanagement?

A friend of mine has a crude expression that seems to fit this occasion...
    "Money talks, bullsh!+ walks"

Stop ALL the money to the Church, pay the bills at good parishes, and completely ignore the lousy priests and bishops who think THEY are the bosses.

WE ALL HAVE THE POWER TO MAKE A SWIFT CHANGE FOR THE BETTER!

  8. Money is fungible. Paying GPA or GWA only frees up money for something else—maybe even RMS. Give a priest in-kind donations, i.e. Something only he can use

Great idea, Bob. Gift cards to gas stations; gift cards to grocery stores to help with priests' groceries; gift cards to K-Mart, Walmart, and other department stores for personal items priests will need, etc.; gift cards to restaurants to show your personal appreciation for them by buying them a meal; and so forth. As you can see, the mistrust that continues to exist over the archdiocesan leadership and over some of the clergy, has forced the Faithful to reduce its generosity to the Church and even, unfortunately, to the upstanding priests in the parishes who are in the trenches and continue to do their ministry even while their efforts are being undermined by the decisions and actions of their superiors. A huge "Thank You" to the priests in the trenches.

  10. I attended the Barrigada San Vicente church 5:30pm Mass tonite, 1/14/17, and, from a reading of their weekly bulletin, noticed that this parish does not collect and/or report tithing from the NCW 7:30pm Vigil Mass group. Isn't money collected from their service? Why don't they contribute some amount to the parish coffer for the use of the church facility? This is an important matter the Parochial Administrator should investigate. The overall collection appears small for a large parish. Father Joel should ensure that this free-loading group of NCW gypsies pay their fair Way...or is there a "fair Way" with this sect? What's with that Neo?

    1. We're the 7:30 Sat now masses listed? There are several of them. I was in a community that met at the San Ramon Chapel. And good point. Where does that money go?

  11. Many think that church mortgage for church construction is risky but it's a myth now. Everything in the world doesn't go with the same flow. There're reliable sources like Griffin Church Loans for mortgaging churches and getting loans.
