Content-wise, EWTN isn't even a shadow of the great Network it was when Mother Angelica ran it. I'm one of the once-loyal legion who gave up on it years ago.
Since Mother's retirement in 2001, the Network has been controlled by Evangelical converts who remain Protestant-friendly toward fundamentalist and Charismatic movements like the NCW.
Unfortunately, wealthy EWTN owns all of the major US Catholic media outlets now so Church news from the States is rarely objective and informed.
