PLEASE, LET US HELP CHERI WEGNER

Many of us know Cheri and her family. Let us help her in her time of need. Someday it will be our turn. Please use the social media buttons at the bottom of this post to share this post however you can.
Sincerely,
Tim

Hafa Adai! Thank you for taking time to read our fund raising campaign. I am writing on behalf of my sister Cheri Wegner. I, along with our parents E. Carl and Carmen Quan Wegner and family, would like to ask for your help in our efforts to raise funds for her medical expenses.

Cheri was admitted into Guam Memorial Hospital on Nov. 20, 2016, after an unfortunate misdiagnosis. What was thought to be a simple infection turned out to be a “flesh eating bacteria” that almost took her life. She has since gone through over ten surgeries and numerous anti-biotics to get it under control. We were hopeful that the infection was clear but after being in the hospital and then the Skilled Nursing Unit for over two months, the wound became infected again.

On Feb. 3rd, she was sent to the Philippines via medivac and has been on an extremely strong anti-biotic and wound vacuum treatment. We have every confidence that this time around the infection will be stopped and she will be on her way to a complete recovery. However we do need funds to continue the treatment which is why we need your help.

Cheri has spent most of her life helping others and is an advocate of the youth and elderly here on Guam. She is a current member of several business organizations like the Rotary Club of Tumon Bay and the Guam Chamber of Commerce and has been a volunteer for other non-profit organizations including the Guam Girl Scouts, Cantate Community Chorus and Guam Special Olympics.

Cheri was given the gift of voice. For over 35 years she has been a music minister in our church, performing with choirs like Emmaus, Trinity and the 7:30am Family choir at the Agana Cathedral Basilica. She has generously given her time to perform for numerous community & school events and fundraisers, the most recent being, “Sentimental Journey,” honoring our World War II Survivors.

We are kindly asking for your donation to assist in our efforts.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Respectfully,

Shawn M. Wegner
