"Who is going to save our Church? Not our bishops, not our priests and religious. It is up to you, the people. You have the minds, the eyes, the ears to save the Church. Your mission is to see that your priests act like priests, your bishops, like bishops, and your religious act like religious." - Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen, 1972

A very interesting and novel perspective from our Archbishop. Certainly a stark departure from his predecessor's hollow approach.
ReplyDeleteWhat strikes me is the huge difference of homily this past Sunday, between Archbishop Byrnes' and Archbishop Wuerl's. Perhaps it is a sign of the times that the Archbishop of Agana is well more inspiring that the Archbishop of Washington DC.
That is the difference between having an Archbishop attempting to find solutions, and another one trying to cover his butt, and his past coverup.
Quit sucking up to Byrnes! Hardly anyone pay any attention with you goons. Waste of post.
ReplyDeleteWell anon at 4.17, I guess that in view of your colorful (if inappropriate) language, and your poor grammar, we can surmise that you are a follower of Kiko the Magnificent. Thank you for the visit anyhow, it was not that much of waste after all.
